Their food is great and so are their prices but they have the worst customer service ever.

I have eaten here once before at the sushi bar. Today, I decided to get take out. The staff was extremely friendly and promptly took my order. However, the floor was extremely dirty with bits of receipts and napkins on the ground. The glass door was covered in finger and hand prints. Get your stuff together guys or I will eat somewhere else.

This is by far my favorite sushi place it is so freaking cheap. My personal favorite is the spicy tuna on crunchy rice cake(must try if you come). Everything is so cheap.

Came on a Sunday night(yesterday) to have a few beers and sushi. I sat at a table where the fish pond is and I really enjoyed it. There was some house techno music going on which I was a big fan of. There were to young servers working, i think one of them had pinkish hair i dont remember her name but the two girls working that night were both sweet and very helpful. I like how they treated me like an actual person and conversated with me about my day and refilled my tea a lot. I was having a rough day and needed a few beers and something fresh. I had never really tried sushi before so asked for suggestions, one of them recommended a Crazy Night Roll and the Spicy Tuna Rain roll which I will keep coming back for. Their albacore sushi is pretty fresh and they have a really tasty ponzu sauce. The only bad was this chef that kept shouting, I don’t know if he needs to do that but if doesn’t he should stop. The ambience was for the most part calm except for the shouting. But I’m glad I sat at a booth not the sushi bar because I wouldn’t be able to relax with a chef shouting over my head. The food was yummy and I got really great service, I will keep coming back.

I love this place. I come here all the time, and the food and service is always great! I always come in for the same thing, and it’s nice to be remembered when I sit down. They know what I like, and they’re always kind and fast. Having vegan options is very much appreciated. Both Jimmy & James are and the other awesome sushi chefs & Phoebe and the wonderful wait staff are always full of smiles. AND they always have a happy hour going, no matter what the time. Come in, and enjoy this treasure of a place.

The good: happy hour all day, every day. The bad: customer service. I have been coming here for a few years now, the service is horrible, the sushi is okay C+ maybe, and the prices are pretty cheap since its happy hour all day every day.

Sushi is good for the price and the décor looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 90s. Service is less to be desired and it gets frustrating at times. I’d say that people keep coming back because the sushi is quite good.

One of the most disgusting sushi meals I’ve had in my life. I am an avid sushi water and this was AWFUL. I am so sick from it. I got home late from work on Friday(tonight), I was in a rush, and decided to order pick up from a new place I’ve never tried. I am extremely disappointed and would never recommend this sushi bar to anyone. If you see this review, believe me and go somewhere else.

I’m still in the process of developing my sushi taste. If you’re in the same boat as I am, I suggest you hone your taste elsewhere. We ate here at the suggestion of a friend. Happy hour all day with cheap sushi that is supposedly good quality. Upon entering the restaurant, you are hit with a fishy smell, not quite sushi, more like koi pond, which is located in the middle of the establishment. We asked for a table and were seated for a few minutes and our friend suggested we move over to the bar because it took the servers longer to serve the tables/booths. I’m pretty patient, so sitting at the table would have worked ok for me. We were shown menus and given plates quickly and we gave our sushi chef our order, which does come out quickly. We ordered some Mexican rolls, spicy tuna rolls, spicy salmon tempura, some lobster hand roll. I liked them ok, save for the tuna rolls, which didn’t taste great. The service was fair, one of the girls was obviously having a bad day. The sushi chefs work hand, you gotta hand it to them. They need to buy some more pens for the place though cause the host kept coming around looking for pens, what?! If you like cheap, ok quality sushi, I think you should visit. Service may be hit or miss though.

Great sushi with very affordable prices. Happy hour menu all day. Phoebe, one of the waitress is very friendly and gives the best service, we request her every time we go. The location is great too, plenty of parking.

Horrible service accompanied with mediocre sushi. Make sure you have enough time to wait till someone rolls by to take your order or ANYTHING for that matter. I’m sitting here now waiting for my bill… while writing this. Just avoid the place but if you do? The one star is for garlic edamame lol

I come here often for lunch and it has always been good. Fresh fish at a really great price. Cold beers a plus. James behind the sushi bar is amazing. Friendly and an excellent chef.

I’ve been coming to this place for years. Everything used to be amazing… the service, the food, everything. Recently, the service has been declining and it seems to get worse every time I visit. The other day, I had to wait for 10 minutes just to be seated, even though the tables were practically empty. The waitresses look unhappy, and very inattentive to the customers. The walk by several times without paying any attention. You’d better off walking up to them and asking for what you need. The food is still good, so no complaints there. Management definitely needs to do something to keep the waitresses happy because they are already losing business.

I was very skeptical about a sushi joint that serves happy hour specials all day everyday… I mean, how fresh could their sushi be? Crazy Tokyo is just an establishment to come for cheap sushi and Japanese dishes. The space is huge inside but it’s kind of run down to be honest… the food was less than mediocre and the prices are cheap but the real reason why I am writing this review is because we came on a weekday right when the restaurant had just opened and we found a huge pile of dirty dishes from LASTNIGHT in their dish bin. There was absolutely NOWAY those dirty dishes could have been from the same day because we were one of the first customers!!! Disgusting and so unsanitary!!! Also, the restroom was so dirty and I saw a freaking bug swimming in the toilet… I was SOGROSSEDOUTTHAT I RANOUTOFTHERESTAURANT. Luckily we had already finished eating. I’m not one to bash on restaurants but something needs to be fixed… Oh yeah and the service wasn’t so hot either. Our server didn’t smile once! The only time she slightly«smiled» is when I corrected her on a mistake she made with our order…

Service is very slow here. I only had an hour for my lunch and it was a struggle to get our waiter to come back and give us our check. The food also takes pretty long to come out. The sushi tasted all right. It wasn’t the best sushi I had. The price was very cheap, which is good. The plate presentation was ok. The atmosphere was very nice and quiet. They had a gorgeous fish pond on towards the back of the restaurant(indoors). Overall, if you want cheap sushi and have time on your hand, come here.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT. I LOVECRAZYTOKYOSUSHI in WOODLANDHILLS. Yeah, I initially gawked and totally judged my Caucasian friend who wanted to go here, thinking, «Yeah, sounds down right lame and disgusting, because I don’t know what legit sushi establishment would be called ‘crazy tokyo.’» So, I stand corrected. I’m not reviewing this place in comparison to the«real» sushi places on the sushi row run by Japanese chefs, but I’m putting this in the OCTOPUS/KABUKI, SUSHISTOP/Rotating sushi category. Much like how you would never put a PRIUS and BMW in the same category for comparison. Now let me get into why I LOVE this place, despite the TERRIBLE wait time for food, and service being excruciatingly slow. 1) Happy hour all day everyday as their new promotion! That brings down salmon and mackerel nigirl’s down to an unbeatable deal compared to all the other«american»(aka korean-owned) sushi places like, «Octopus,» «Kabuki,» and the sorts. And we’re talking ALLDAY. 2) Their nigiri is SOHUGE. They cut a large nice slab of fish for each piece. It’s GIGANTIC compared to any other sushi spot I’ve gone. 3) Their mackerel for some reason is better than a lot of the places I’ve had. 4) They’ve got this«Mexican Roll» which is a spicy caliifornai roll. I don’t see this often at other places. IT’s a simple roll, and yet it’s delicious. And only $ 2 or something for 6 pieces. 5) You can get stuffed here for $ 20. I’ve gone to the Crazy Tokyo in Tarzana, and the fish cut sizes were 25% smaller in comparison. However, there is hardly a wait and service is much quicker and on point. For inexpensive nigiri’s, I’ll take the super slow service in exchange. Don’t forget to try the mussels, it’s like a dynamite with mayo in it. First 3 times were awesome, but they skimped on the mayo and wasn’t as good the most recent time. Tip: Come no later than 5p.m. to sit down and start ordering. Or you will be waiting at your table for a while.

Best prices for inexpensive sushi. We stick to the rolls and some of the appetizers. The tempura calamari is always very good, along with the soft shell crab. For the rolls, I like the Large Roll, and the spicy tuna is pretty good. Their iced green tea is pretty refreshing. Parking is plentiful as it’s right next to Ralphs, and there is almost no wait during weekday lunch hours.
