First Class Cleaning

I contacted them to take the high gloss shine off my black painted floors in my townhome and replace with a satin finish. They showed up with a flat/​matte finish which was first strike. They replaced it with satin, and then proceeded to do a crummy job — huge patches of satin looking blending into flat looking areas – quite noticeable. when they came back the next day to get paid, after it had dried, I showed them the areas and after consultation decided to re-​do the areas. I then paid them. Two days later I went to move an Asian sideboard (approx. weight 60 lbs) and noticed they had NOT moved it when they did the floor and there were now two spots where the feet had been (4“x12″) that had been untouched. I immediately commented on their website and called their office, with no response. I tried again the next day and again no response. As far as I’m concerned they took the money and ran — — and I’m left with two unsightly spots on my otherwise good looking floor. I tried posting pictures but the Unilocal site kept crashing. Disappointing. I had just signed on a new apartment and wanted it to be cleaned before we moved our things in, so asked First Class Cleaning to come in and clean the –empty– space. I called twice to confirm, and was quoted $ 30/​hour on both calls, no mention of this being per cleaner. On the day of my appointment, two cleaners showed up (and did an adequate-​ish job), but I was then charged $ 30/​hour PER cleaner, amounting to twice what I’d anticipated paying!
With this kind of set up, they could have sent as many cleaners as they wanted and charged me $ 30 for each person without advanced warning — such a frustrating discovery on my CC statement. And all for cleaning an empty apartment with no carpets, no furniture, nothing but floors and walls. An expensive mistake.
