Let’s make this a –star. I can’t even give this place a star. My usual Big Lots store is Billerica, MA. The Mister and I had always made out well there in regards to furniture. We got a great tv stand, two recliners and a coffee table set there roughly 6 months ago. Our experience with our first big purchase made us love them. Then. we went to them to purchase a canopy for our wedding which we decided we would have at our home. We went to billerica first. They said they would gladly order from the Lynn store and we would get it mid week the following week. We stopped to check in and we were told that unfortunately they opened the box and the frame was bent. They would be ordering from the Danvers store and it would be in for the weekend. I checked in the following weekend and they were waiting on it but it would be the next week. When I checked in again late the next week there was still no word if Danvers had even received the gazebo. With the wedding approaching, my fiancé had decided to call around to all stores to see who had the gazebo available. The most help we received throughout this whole process was from the Nashua store who told us where to call according to their list. Gardener had a floor model and Worcester had 2 listed. We called both places and Worcester told us they had one in box. So after work at 7 pm on a Tuesday we drove the 1.5 hours to pick up our new gazebo. Wrong. The man who helped us stated it would be the floor model. He called a manager to help us our to bring the price down, we’re not bargainers so we took our 15% off and paid. The manager told us that they would box it on Wednesday and it would be ready in Thursday. I have Fridays off so i told the Mister not to worry that I would go get it on Friday instead as the manager told us he would make sure that it was tagged as sold and boxed up so it would be ready even if we had to wait until the weekend to pick it up. We were told not to worry. When i got there on Friday, i spoke to the girl at the desk and gave her our receipt. Puzzled, she asked I had paid for it. after i had given the receipt. she then sort of pointed aroynd and told me to head to furniture pick up. So i did as i was told and wait patiently. A frazzled worker came out and asked if i had purchased the floor model. i answered yes, we paid for it Tuesday and were told we could pick it up on Thursday… we couldn’t pick it up because of work but i was told that we could pick it up any time. The worker then informed me that no one even told them it had been sold and it was still on the sales floor. I asked if it could be boxed for the next day and was told yes. Completely frustrated, i left. On my way home, i attempted to call the store to speak with a manager but the rude employee at the front desk put me on hold and there i stayed. My fiancé talkex to them and they apologized to him. The next day we went to pick up our new gazebo, finally. When we got there we had no problems until we were at the furniture pick up door. When they opened the door… our gazebo was in a tangled bent up heap. Completely bummed out, we headed home. during the process of figuring out how to put it together. we found out we were missing bolts and tools that came with the gazebo. We found damage that wasn’t there at the time of purchase and whomever took the gazebo down broke pieces, did not completely undo everything and caused the frame to bend. I am so disappointed in the service we received from every big lots we interacted with, aside from the Nashua store. We have decided that this was it for us. 6 hours of trips and all of the frustrations from their lies to us is enough for me. I will no longer purchase anything from this company. Not even a pack of gum.

Great staff. They helped me try to find a special chocolate and got everyone involved to make sure I found what I was looking for

Okay, So this big lots is in kind of a ghetto mall. I’ll admit it, but in no way are you in danger when you go here. I go to this big lots for one reason. Nail polish. They have amazing discounted prices on it, $ 8.00 bottles of OPI sell for $ 1.00. When I am there for polish, there are a lot of things that catch my eyes. They have cheap food,(snacks, Gatorade etc) and they also have books and furnishings for homes. It’s all inexpensive and I would definitely recommend it.

This place is HUGE. Located in the old Marshall’s space(for anyone who has been to this dieting mall). This is supposed to be an anchor store, something to draw in the customers. Yeah, I don’t think so. I need a better reason to visit here. The store had plenty of product, appeared to be clean. There were only a handful of people shopping. The only employee I saw was the cashier at the front register. Can’t think of a reason to stop back here and probably won’t. That’s more because of the green dale mall then the store itself.
