My obsession with fashion started at an early age, bringing with it my very fitting nickname — Punky.

I created the style blog PunkyStyle​.com in August of 2005. My love for rummaging through estate sales, thrift stores, and yard sales lead to the 2009 opening of The Haberdash, America’s first mobile vintage shop. That same year I also had the pleasure of co-​founding The Swapaholics an event company responsible for bringing sustainable style and a fun sense of reusing to fashion lovers everywhere. In my spare time (wink wink), I moonlight as the owner of an antique shop called Crompton Collective.

I love coming to this place to poke around on a weekend afternoon! They have tons of unique pieces – I love the old mixed with the new crafts and items made by local vendors!

Crompton Collective is great for a newbie however I have been to this place many times and NOTHING CHANGES… it’s the same stuff over and over and over. Sadly I have no desire to ever go back because I’m bored with the place. This space has SO MUCH POTENTIAL and the misuse of space drives me crazy… this place should be filled to the brim with product. Try Counting Sheep in Berlin, it’s small however it has a great variety.

At one time I loved this place until I actually met and conversed with the owner, Amy. I have been in retail for 20 years and I have never come across someone so rude and unprofessional in all my years. She needs to realize that customers are her livelihood and without them she has nothing. I guarantee that this business will fail as customers realize how disgusting her attitude is. She should employ herself behind a desk where interaction is minimal.
If patronizing Crompton’s helps Amy become successful with her awful attitude and disposition, I suggest you all avoid this place at all cost. She doesn’t deserve success if she treats her paying customers so badly.
If you don’t believe me, try to communicate with her when you are there next. You’ll quickly see what I mean. :)

I’ll be short, because that is how I typically live my visits to antique stores to be.
I have been here a few times, with my wife when we are in Worcester getting food or when we had checkups pre-​baby down the road. I will say for an antique shop Crompton keeps my attention, there is a good selection of things old and new. People sell home-​made crafts and other things here as well.
The selection appears to be great, and I can tell by my wifes grin everything must be good here.

This is one of my favorite vintage, antique consignment shops ever! There is so much to see I could easily spend 2 hours in this place. Plenty of parking (when there is no farmer’s market in the parking lot), and they take credit cards. Definitely a must see in Worcester for shopping.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! I have never lived in a city before, where you can walk to trendy stores and shops. Now I live right around the corner from Crompton Collective and I have been at least 5 times since moving into the neighborhood last month. I love everything they have and wish I could buy it all! Anytime I have someone come to visit my new place, I am sure to take them there. This is a beautiful antique store with a ton of character. The prices are very reasonable as well. I love Crompton. It’s definitely one of my favorite parts about moving to this city.

I really love just meandering through the many stalls at Crompton Collective! It’s slightly overwhelming because there is always so many items, but each stall is beautifully curated, and you can really understanding what the vendors are trying to achieve! Some pieces are definitely expensive, but you can also find amazing small pieces to bring a room/​look together!

Every time I go in Crompton, I find something that I love. Affordable wares from local vendors… Sometimes it takes some serious perusing, but that’s part of the fun! The gems you can find include (but are DEFINITELY not limited to) dishes, furniture, clothing, jewelry, and housewares. Everything is reasonably priced, and inventories are constantly being updated… That means I have an excuse to go back weekly!

This is a plethora of goodness. I am not sure how many booths in total are in this location but if i had to guess i would say 50. Great variety, the price generally are reasonable and something for every time of eclectic artsy and art collector. When there are events in the area it can be really hard to find parking. Likewise i want to say on the weekend not the best to find parking. We have gone twice in the last year and most of the stuff has turned over although there are a couple of booths that really look the same. I would say you could probably check in monthly for new items unless there is something that you are really after in which case bi-​weekly would be good but feel like there isn’t a need to come in any more frequently than that.
Some vintage woman’s clothing on sale in one location. The front end has a good mix of jewelry and watches along with other items in the cake. As for the other booths it varies so much that it’s hard to pin down. There is stuff for making terrariums, probably 15% furniture be almost everything is pre-​1980, this isn’t a catch all location like a swap meet or flee market, there is a real elegance and class associated with this location.

I LOL at the shitty reviews. I mean how could you hate this place? It’s awesome. With a lot of digging and a dash of luck you can find some gems there for $ 5 or less. Since there are different vendors the prices vary – like a LOT. I usually go to my favorite booths to check our their sale bins and new items and always find something I like for the price I love! Some of the stuff there is priced to be ridiculed. Like I know they go to Savers and buy an old table and then head to Lowe’s to get some paint and new handles and be selling that for 50 times the original price. You get to slowly know who those vendors are so what do I do? I AVOID them and it’s no bother. I know some fools are willing to pay for pretty refurbished junk.

This place is so cool and so trendy. They have new handmade items as well as vintage items. The items are always changing so you see something new every time you go in. There is a farmer’s market there on Saturdays with tons of healthy food and handmade items. Be sure to visit the bread bakery upstairs too. Yum!

Baby’s first antique shoppe?
It saddens me that such a chintzy Christmas Tree Shops knock-​off like this is the near high mark of sophistication in my fair city. So rotten with etsy cloned 5-​minute DIY crafts and poorly re-​painted antique (?) furniture that when an interesting curiosity pops up in your peripherals it’s like an oasis in the Sahara and the haze of gimmicky bad taste that surrounds it paints it a mere mirage. Only when an item is closely inspected can you breathe a sigh of relief, that is if it hasn’t been stenciled with some mushy Hallmark card quote. There are some exceptions but Crompton’s claim of being ‘carefully curated’ with a ‘long waiting list of vendors’ gives me little hope that the Crompton Collective will ever be worth a visit unless you like your interior decoration with a bit of yolo-​like comedy.

Stumbled upon this place on my way to Birchtree Bread Company. I’m not a big antique fan, but it’s the nicest and most tasteful antique store that I’ve been to. They also have have creations and gifts from local businesses/​artists as well.

great mix of affordable vintage/​antiques and cute handmade bags/​jewelry. one of my favorite random stops of many during an east coast road trip. Not a ton of selection if you are looking for a huge antique mall, but well curated, with about 15 – 20 booths.

Very Cool place. From the look of the building to the actual contents inside, it’s all intriguing! I went for the first time a couple months ago then again a few weeks ago. There was a lot of new inventory. There are different sellers which have their own little areas they decorate with a their items. Last time I went I found a mid century two tier table for $ 25. It’s not any type of dusty old antiques store…
There are a few sellers that have restored antique furniture — which I’m not really into but it looked nice. Bottom line check this place out, you might find something cool.

Crompton Collective fulfilled all my vintage-​Anthro-​antiquing fantasies. Great selection of vintage and handmade goods from a variety of local vendors – this place was a blast to walk through and around every corner was something else I wanted to bring home. The furniture selection in particular was fantastic and I thought the mix of distressed woods, mid-​century modern and industrial pieces was impressive.
I love the large space and the thoughtful set-​up, getting to see lots of different vendors without feeling completely claustrophobic. The centralized payment system (grab what you want and go to one counter to pay) made for quick checkout when you’re buying from a bunch of vendors. The prices were SIGNIFICANTLY lower than what I usually see at places closer to home like SoWa in Boston’s South End or the Davis Flea in Somerville, with much better inventory–

I am a huge fan of this place! It is so big and has such a great variety of old things. It doesn’t seem like someone is just trying to sell you a bunch of junk. Every time I go I buy something… last time it was an old school globe! Amy is really nice and if you ask her where to go in Worcester she will give you lots of options. Great to see someone who is so positive about their community.

Crompton Collective has struck the balance between trendy and timeless I am always looking for in a great antique shop. They have a good selection of vendors and are always growing and changing to add new vendors and improve the shop.
Furniture hunters look no further, Crompton has a wide selection of pieces from distressed and painted to industrial and rustic. The selection is ever changing and I rarely see the same piece from one visit to the next (we stop by about once a month).
