Worst customer service by any General Manager in a licensed establishment that I have ever experienced. The rating would be zero, but Unilocal doesn’t go under 1 star.

Have been to Fiddler’s Green on two occasions. Both times it was karaōke night, had a blast. I don’t do karaōke myself but a few of my friends do. The atmosphere is very friendly and the wait staff dioes a great job.

I’ve never been to Ireland, but I have an idyllic image in my mind of what it’s like in an authentic Irish pub and the atmosphere at Fiddler’s Green definitely fits that image. At first glance it may not seem like much: an L shaped pub room tucked on the second floor of the Hibernian Club that almost looks like it was an afterthought addition to the place. What makes this place so comfy is the people — both staff and patrons alike. Things move at a slower pace here. The kind of pace that gives you plenty of time to have good conversation with your bartender and(if you want to) get to know the person sitting next to you. I’ve been to this bar both at the most crowded time of night as well as the loneliest part of the afternoon and have always been impressed by the friendly, small town good naturedness of the bar tenders. They have live Irish music on Friday and Saturday nights, serve free popcorn, and have a full pub menu complete with Irish Egg Rolls(filled with corned beef and carrots) and the very traditional Nachos that the celts used to dine on. Good food, reasonably priced drinks, comfortable atmosphere and Irish music all in one place.

This place is owned and operated by the Irish cultural society, and hence, is a REAL Irish pub. My friend and her very Irish family were having a get together here this weekend and I was invited to partake. Saturday night was karaōke night(not sure if this is every weekend). The karaōke MC clearly loves his job and gives very enthusiastic praise for all performances, even sub-par performances like my rendition of «My Humps»(thank you, Pat, for putting my name in to perform that without my consent… jerk). The atmosphere is very comfortable with more of a family reunion vibe then a bar vibe. This may be partly due to the fact that I was indeed at a family party, but it also seemed like the bar was filled with regulars that all knew each other. The décor is what one might expect at an Irish bar, with Ireland-related pictures, maps, etc. on the walls. The bar is dark wood, as are all the tables. The bar room itself, however, is brightly lit. I actually think they could stand to dim the lights a little bit to give it a more intimate feel. I should also mention that there is an event space here, too, which I think you can rent out for… well…events. The drinks are more than reasonably priced with my vodka tonic, two Guinness, and a Smithwick’s coming in under $ 20 total. There is a pub menu available as well, but I was full on the mediocre Chinese food I’d consumed earlier and so didn’t try anything.
