Super overpriced used DVDs and music CDs. I suppose if you don’t know how to use the Internet, money isn’t an option and are looking for something out of print this store could be cool. Not sure how they stay in business.

Hit the vinyl jackpot here last night picking up many used rock and jazz nuggets. Not the cheapest or the priciest in the area; picked up 35 new and used albums for a little over 5 hundy, so about $ 14 an album. Well organized with each alphabetic listing having their own separate bin. The owner threw in a few extra LPs at no cost. If the quality and selections remain consistent, I’ll continue to come back to Jelly’s.

Not sure how Ebay or Amazon hasn’t put this place out of business, their prices for used Blu-Ray, DVD and Cd’s exceed what I think would be reasonable for new items plus I think its a crap shoot on whether you can get something that is in decent condition.

yea 5 stars! nerds look out. so i am happy to stumble over this joint while getting my windshield fixed(long story follow up later ok) after you get past the 10 foot high chain link fence(which must have cost a lot, i just paid for a chain link fence myself!) you are welcomed by thousands of hard to find and unique cds, vinyl, games, and vhs/dvds. Way too many for me to peek at while i was waiting for my repairs, but if your a local or a loner with lots of time to kill, here is a great place to do so. everything is where it should be for the most part, the only time burglar you can expect are the cd’s of the week that are new purchases, they keep them right in the front. its not alphabetized nor organized in any other way then the day they were bought from who ever needed money that day, so good luck with that. I mean, if you wanted to commit, you could scan everything they have there on one day and then as new stuff comes in, just scan over those to make sure you arent losing out on any tasties, your choice. I picked up an out of print beasties ep and a recording of phish doing dark side of the moon, looking forward to the 60 minute drive home to enjoy one of them at least.

A great location for new and used CDs, DVDs and such. Some of the prices are a little high on select used items, however most are at average or low levels taking into account the condition of the used CDs. New CDs are lower than major chain stores and they are without a doubt, the fastest place to order anything. I often get a call the next day telling me my new obscure CD has arrived. I like this place

They have excellent deals on DVDs, I don’t know what the other person is talking about. I got about 15 dvds for 30 dollars, or so. And real movies: Sin City, The Grudge, Girl Next Door, Friday Night Lights, Willy Wonka, etc. Also the VHS movies are all .99 cents!!! So that person is crazy. The only thing that is pricey here, is the USED cds, I was expecting to find them for a couple bucks, but no such luck.

Normally i’d be all over a place like Jelly’s. A HUGE used cd/dvd/record/video game/vhs store. Went here on a sunday afternoon and the place was DEAD. A hidden gem? Not really… it was probably dead because the prices are so high(and we are talking worcester here people!). All video games were 50% off which made them reasonably priced, and even though all the dvds were 33% off they were still kind of a rip off. Nothing too cool in the dvd section… all the same titles you see at every thrift store dvd section: Titanic, You’ve Got Mail, movies with Eddie Murphy in a fat suit, and crappy crime dramas with Angelina Jolie. BUT! I did manage to score Hot Rod for $ 6 which is kind of cool I guess. Any good dvds were priced really high, like a used copy of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was $ 17! I did pick up a dvd copy of 1984’s Mazes and Monsters with Tom Hanks which has a cover with a recent photo of Mr. Hanks and also a hedge maze that isnt even in the movie, hilarious! But in hindsight, I think paying $ 7 for it was too much. I didnt really look at the cds because like most people, I get my music from the internet these days… One final note tho… There was a box of unpriced used VHS tapes next to the counter, I went through them and get some serious finds! Like 1984’s «The Babysitter» starring William Shatner and Patty Duke, also 1983’s «The Curse» starring a very young Will Wheaton and 1994’s «The Arcade» starring a teenage Peter Billingsley. I was really psyched and brought them to the counter to find out how much there were… I figured they would probably be a couple bucks each since NOONEWANTSVHSTAPESANYMORE(except for me!), to my horror, the owner looked them up on her computer and told me that they were between $ 20 and $ 30 each! WTF!!! Instead of selling them to me for a fair price, she thought she could sell them on ebay for $ 30 each. Well I checked on ebay later that night, and they were going for $ 5. Jelly’s you will not scorn me again!
