Overall: C The food is a bit pricey when you consider its average. We’ve eaten there five times, and the was just ok, nothing to get excited about. Service: average Management: poor. Owners treat you like, eat and get out Recommendation: rather than spending a lot of money on renovations, clean up your menu, your service, and get a better attitude towards your customers.

YUCK! between the poor food and service we will not be going back. They had so many burger variations, I thought that would be a good choice… NOTSOMUCH the burger meat itself just tasted BAD. My husband liked the Onion Rings but not much else. They never really came back to ask if everything was OK… just came back to give us our check. I guess we didn’t want dessert? We will NOT be returning

We love the chili shrimp appetizer and the rest of the pub menu. Also, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. However, after a few months of being open, they changed what was previously a GREAT happy hour deal(everyday 5 – 7, ½ price pub apps, $ 5 martinis/wine, $ 2 draft beer) to a very mediocre happy hour deal(still everyday, but now only $ 1 off apps and martinis). It’s still a good place for a slightly nicer dinner in Berks, but we were looking for a nice, affordable after-work spot, and now it’s just not worth going for happy hour anymore. We feel like there was a bit of bait-and-switch going on, which caused us to lose faith in the business.

Came here on a Sunday for appetizers, food was good but they were advertising items they no longer made.

Fruit fly infested bar. Been there twice now. Disgusting. Hours later and my skin is still crawling.

The service is good and everyone is friendly. The food is okay, and I haven’t had anything bad, but it’s not my favorite place to eat. I would go to the bar more often but it’s very small and super dark since there is no light. The bartenders are really nice and the drinks are good, I just don’t enjoy the atmosphere. Overall though things are good.

I’m comfortable giving this place a three star review. The food we had was good — I wouldnt say the top of the line ingredients but it was prepared well and tasted good. Server was friendly. If we’re comparing apples to apples(i.e. this vs. an Applebees), I’d probably go with Willoughby’s although they’re in the same ballpark. Would return if I were in the area and didn’t have time to look up another place… Parking is a big plus here.

Went there for the first time this past weekend. The waitress was extra chipper at but took a while to serve. We like the chips appetizer however I think there should be a dip that comes with them like sour cream or a sweet-and-sour sauce. My husband likes the burger. I had the French dip which was very good. HoweverI can tell the onion rings were made in house. but they tasted very bland with no flavor at all. The drinks seemed overpriced so we didn’t order any. So I am not sure if we are going to go back and try again…

This place is as good as it gets! Bonus points that it’s locally owned and not a chain restaurant! We had a large party of 7 of us so we ordered a few appetizers. The lobster crab dip, the mozzarella planks and an order of the cracked pepper wings. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted just as wonderful. I had the gyro which, while basic was so awesome. The tzaziki sauce was fresh and tasty. No one at the table had one complaint about their meals. One person, who is a self proclaimed rib connoisseur, exclaimed that the ribs were some of the best they’ve ever eaten. The food came out very quickly and the staff was friendly and extremely attentive. I travel to the Shillington/Reading area frequently with family living in the area. I will be sure to suggest we eat here again and again!

Excellent!!! We have been in several times and the food, drinks and service are always spot on. The first time we were there for a Holiday party with a total of 18 people. The server Stephanie handled it with grace. All of our meals were very good, nothing was forgotten and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I highly recommend Willoughby’s wether it’s for a drink and appetizers or a full meal.

The food in this restaurant is awesome the atmosphere is very relaxing and the servers are extremely professional not a bunch of young servers running the place. If you are going to eat in reading go to this place before any of the chains you won’t be disappointed.

Really good food, but service is often middling and the kitchen is really slow. Expect about 25 minutes before you eat

Nice bar and atmosphere for the area. Loved the ahi tuna appetizer — the bacon tomato cilantro salad was a pleasant addition! Unique beer list.

Its 3 on a Friday, Black Friday we r 2 of 4 people at bar. Business is picking up slowly as we sit here but nothing drastic. Beer selection for micro lover’s is acceptable, 8 taps 20 bottles. Chicken artichoke soup hit the spot after not eating all day. Bartender is down to earth and honest about beer and food selection.

Awesome pub food and atmosphere, I really couldn’t ask for more. Came here with a group of 9 for dinner on a Wednesday, called 2 hours ahead and they were able to accommodate. Upscale pub atmosphere with plenty of drinks from which to choose. I needed to get away from fried food, so I ordered the seared tuna with mixed veggies and a baked potato. Actually, I asked for fries, but when the potato came out it looked so good I didn’t speak up – and glad I didn’t. The tuna was crusted with sesame seeds and cooked perfectly rare, not to mention a large portion. The veggies were what you’d expect, solid steamed carrots/yellow squash/zucchini(kudos for having both baby carrots and cut whole carrots). And the potato was baked, with a crispy skin covered in course salt. Any time I’m in the area, I’ll be sure to stop in, a must if you’re looking for a casual atmosphere with quality food.

I stopped in for a networking event. It’s in an easy location to find. I didn’t get any food so my review is of the bar. The martini selection has some tasty, flavorful choices worth experiencing. It got busy, so you’ll want to have some time there if you don’t grab a seat at the bar.

Great casual destination. This place is locally owned and operated, but if it feels and looks like a chain, that’s because the building used to house a T.G.I. Friday’s. You’ll find your standard American fare, including an array of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and pasta dishes, as well as an assortment of comfort food classics like meatloaf and macaroni & cheese. While most servers deliver fantastic service, there are a few bad apples. On one occasion in particular, my group was getting A LOT of attitude — no warm greeting, no smiles — in fact, this girl actually passed our table off to another server immediately after taking our drink order. I don’t know if she was about to be cut and didn’t want another table or what, but it was obvious she did NOT want to be working that night. Regardless, our new server was very pleasant and we ended up having a great time. There’s a lot of love in this restaurant when it comes to food quality. For instance, all salad dressings are made in-house. And for you wing lovers out there — don’t be put off by the $ 9 price tag. These are some of the best wings in the county. They have the perfect balance of crispiness and tenderness… oh, and they are quite large, too! An order of wings and a soup/salad is a meal in itself. Some added bonuses: live music on Thursdays featuring talented local artists and brunch served Sundays from 11:30 am — 1:30 pm.

I remember the OLD Willoughby’s that was behind the Inn at Reading way back when I lived in the area. It’s nice to see someone has reinvented this restaurant/bar in what used to be an old TGI Friday’s. My family suggested this place on a recent night out. Both the exterior and interior are quite dark. The tables are a little small so if you are a big/tall person like myself you may find them a little uncomfortable. Aside from that, they have a huge menu of sandwiches, salads, entrees and everything else you can imagine at a casual restaurant. I ordered a pasta alfredo special which came with shrimp, broccoli and smoked salmon. It also came with a side salad. Our table also ordered the chicken philly and a ahi tuna salad. Portion sizes are HUGE! Everything looked amazing. My entrée was just wonderful. The salmon was really smoky that I actually thought there was bacon in there too. All of us loved our entrees. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Hopefully this time Willoughby’s sticks around for a while in Reading.

Good food and server. Bartender doesn’t know proper way to poor Guinness. I told him proper way to poor it and he ignored me. Screw him.
