It was a very quiet night. Marcos(the bartender) was great. Sangrias hit the spot. However my quesadillas left a bit to be desired. I needed some pico de gallo and/or guacamole to accompany them. Otherwise they were tasty. Quality of food, drinks and customer service need to be consistent.

As soon as I got in front of the bar I immediately recognized the bar from Bar Rescue. I guess this should have been a sign but I assumed that the bar had actually been rescued LOL. We got in, my phone was dead and I asked the bartender behind the bar to charge my phone which he did. This is where one of the stars comes from. Then we sat down and ordered drinks and the drinks were actually good. This is where the second star comes in. And that’s where it ends for stars. My friends and I decided to get food and this is where everything went downhill. We ordered food and after 45 mins of waiting for simple appetizers we decided to tell them to forget it and to give us the check. Of course because they saw that we were ready to leave they said the food was coming right out. When we got the food, only 3 out of 4 plates actually made it to the table. My wings were cold so I’m not sure what the wait was for. My other friend had to sit and wait another 15 minutes for his sandwich to make it to the table. At this point we were more than ready to go and the staff couldn’t understand why we were upset with the service. O_o. Overall just go for the drinks. I will not be returning.

First time here tonight. I think they need to call bar rescue again. Food was not good, my bf returned a horrible drink. The music was really loud our waitress could not hear us. Our food took forever to get and when we did get it we got one by one not all together. There were about 6 other people there all at the bar not eating, the place was empty no reason for slow/bad service and loud music so early. I wont b back. I only give it two stars bc i could see the knicks game

Not too crazy about this place. Overly crowded leaving you to hunt down the waiters and bartenders. If you want to stay local then come here, but I don’t see why not taking the extra couple of minutes to get into the heights.

This place is awful. There was a shooting out front about a month ago. I guess they’ll let anyone in.

It’s bar food but it’s decent and the staff is also friendly which is a plus. Didn’t experience it during a busy night and I’m guessing it gets more fun.

I was there a couple of months ago with my boyfriend. We sat at the bar for about 15 – 20 mins and NOONE greeted us and the bartender never approached us to take our drink order. We were very disappointed. We saw one of the owners in the back sitting and was not concerned about the traffic that was coming in or leaving. The atmosphere felt a bit uncomfortable. We have not returned since and will not go back.

What a disappointment. I’ve been here several times after the show Bar Rescue and enjoyed every visit. Last night(June 4) was like a blast from the past when it was called Undisputed. Customers @ the bar wearing hoodies & baseball caps, music so load that ordering off the menu talking came to pointing to what I wanted. Although the food was good(SoYo Sandwich & fries), the wait staff was constantly at the opposite end of bar smoking a hooka with the DJ& other customers. I finished the sandwich & went across the street to another restaurant to have dessert & relax. Not a good experience at all.

I went to SOYO last week on a friends recommendation. My initial impression of the place was that it has a very chic lower east side feel. Upon entering the bar/grill there is a large bar on the left that stretches to the end of the venue. Arranged along the right side of the place are a bunch of miss match tables and chairs(which give it that retro chic feel). The place is decorated with globe light fixtures hanging from the ceiling, exposed brick walls(which I have a personal deep love for), and exposed pipe which i find to be both unique and creative. All of the male bartenders were wearing bow ties and suspenders, which i eventually found out was their uniform(again very chic). The place as a whole is very eye appealing. The day that I visited, to my surprise there was a live Jazz band performing, which was a bit loud, but i really enjoyed their music. I am not a Jazz fan, but they had a lot of energy and i had fun listening to them perform. The Menu was a single laminated page which had drink options on the back and food options on the front. I explained to my server that i wasn’t in the mood for a burger, as there were a few burger options, and he recommended that I try the scampi wings. As i waited for the wings to come out I ordered a drink that came in two cups which was very good. I don’t remember the exact name of the drink, but it was a purple color that came in a glass that was placed inside another glass, which i assume was for temperature control. I usually don’t order house special drinks, but i gave it a try and it was delicious. When the wings arrived(took about 15 minutes) they looked different because of both the scampi sauce and the cheese, but honestly those were some of the best wings that I’ve ever had. The wings are made with a tangy scampi sauce and fried crispy, my main issue with ordering wings at restaurants is that they are usually either under or over cooked, but these wings were made perfectly. I can say without a doubt that these are the best wings in Yonkers. My only criticisms to this place is that 1 they don’t deliver and 2 the menu is limited. If you are looking for a place in Westchester/Yonkers with a NYC feel without having to travel all the way down to the city I would recommend checking out SOYO. P.S– I think the wings at this place might give Candle Light a run for their money.

Fun place. As the crowd grew larger, the noise level increased, but we were still able to converse at our table. Friendly atmosphere. It was a bit cool inside on a damp March evening so I kept my jacket on. I really enjoyed my eclectic blue cocktail. Rob liked his IPA draft. We ordered the wings which were very good. The neighborhood seems to be in transition with a few empty places nearby. We weren’t familiar with the area, so we were glad we found parking across the street. It was a friendly crowd. We enjoyed watching basketball on one of the bar tv’s. Seemed like a nice local hangout that’s friendly to visitors.

Saw this place on Bar Rescue last year when I was living in Hawaii. Now that I live in NYC I decided to pay this place a visit. I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve visited several of the places from the show, and very few of them have maintained the high standards set on by John. So Yo is different however. It was clean, Tichina our server/bartender was great, the service was fast, and most importantly it was the kind of place you want to stay a while in. I can’t say enough that the appearance of the place and the hospitality were great. I find it rare to walk into a bar and immediately be created and told«take your jacket off, stay a while.» That alone made me ready to take a seat look at the menu and open my wallet. My friend and I ordered a total of 6 drinks, and had 30 wings between the two of us, and honestly I cannot find a bad thing to say. The wings were great, the drinks were great, strong, but not over poured. It was all reasonably priced and very much worth a visit. So Yo is definitely a new favorite of both myself and my friend we will be back.

We stopped in at SoYo after dinner on a Friday night. We had seen the bar pop up on past Unilocal searches and saw the bad rating so we didn’t go out of our way to try it since moving to Yonkers 3 months ago… but on our way to dinner we walked passed and we were actually able to see inside(the blinds are typically closed during the day when they are closed.) it looked really nice inside and my boyfriend saw some good beers on the taps so we decided to check it out after dinner. I ordered the eclectic blue cocktail from the menu, it was great! After that I asked if they could make a Zombie, they gave it a good attempt but it didn’t taste like any Zombie I’ve had before. I asked if they could* make it because I know that it has some unusual ingredients that not all bars have, like absinthe and Don’s mix. I wish they would have just said no they couldn’t make it instead of winging it and charging me $ 12. But I understand that a zombie isn’t a typical cocktail so I’m not going to hold that against them. My boyfriend ordered a Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. They have Lagunitas on tap which is one of my favorites so I’ll have to go back for that. I’m really glad that SoYo is here! Its really nice inside, and it’s menu looks really tasty, we didn’t order food this time but I’ve been wanting to have a place to grab a burger and beer after work and I think SoYo will serve that role for me in Downtown Yonkers. It’s a perfect walkable destination from Metro North and is a great feature of Yonkers’ revitalizing riverfront district.

Blue was excellent and took good care of us. Sliders and fries were delicious and came out hot and fast. Drinks were excellent. Shisha was a little pricey but a nice treat. Overall, great place. Two thumbs up. I thought the storage cabinet next to the bar was a photobooth and was disappointed to learn otherwise.

MUSTGIVETHISPLACE A CHANCE !!! I came here every now and then for some wings when it was Undisputed. Good food but sometimes suspect crowd and inconsistent food and service. HOWEVER…my boyfriend and I can here Friday night and came back Tuesday for lunch!!! That’s how good this place is. The atmosphere has completely changed and is very welcoming and classy. The food is off the charts amazing: wings and burgers are a MUSTTRY! On Friday night we ended up joining 2 other couples we had never met and drank and danced the night away. Great DJ with great music and videos. Awesome place! My favorite spot for wings, burgers and drinks. SOYO is worth it and the hype is legit!!! A+++++++++ Well done SOYO!!!

This place would be nice if the staff actually cared that you were there. We went on a slow Thursday night. There were two bartenders working and only six people at the bar, which became eight once we sat down. We were very quickly greeted by the male bartender who didn’t introduce himself. We each ordered a drink and the New Main Quesadilla Burger to share. Our drinks were well made. The burger came out quickly and it was very spicy but also had tons of flavor. I wanted to order another drink and more food, but we were ignored the whole time after we got our food. The worst part about it was not only was it slow, but we were sitting in front of a service station at the bar. The bartenders would stand in front of us while making other drinks and not even give us a glance. The man who served us drinks first was all the way at the other end of the bar, playing on his phone. Once I realized that they didn’t want any more of my money, we paid our bill and left. This place has potential to be something great and become exactly what this neighborhood needs. I have lived in South Yonkers for over six years and I have been waiting for a place like this to come around for a while now. So Yo needs to have better, more attentive staff who actually cares about customers. I will happily take my money elsewhere, but if you’re into being ignored, then this is the place for you.

I tried, I gave it a shot. I went in with high hopes and low expectations and sadly the low expectations are all I could say I got right. I went with my girlfriend for dinner and surprisingly I was one of of the 6 couples there. We sat down and ordered, and waited for our drinks and food. The Drinks came fast, but that was the only good thing. The food came, well some of it. My girlfriend didn’t get to eat because not only did her food not come, but the waitress decided to NEVERCOMEBACKTOMYTABLE. I tried getting her attention but she was too busy with the guys at the bar, and the other two tables to even notice us. We sat there for 45 minutes, and finally I had to go to the bar to get a bill so I could leave… Now I’d like to preface there is 5 people working behind the bar(including my waitress) and I had to even fight for that. Thank god Zuppa was open across the street, I was able to get dinner and she was able to eat as well for just about the same price, only with better service. I suggest not going there, it hasn’t changed, and I really wish it would. They need new staff or they need to sell the place because Jon Taffer or not, this place is going under.
