Verizon FIOS is fast and reliable, I’ll give them that. However, customer service is terrible, the website is incredibly buggy, and they constantly try to nickel and dime me. I’ve been enrolled in auto pay for 4 months, and suddenly, it stops working, nobody says anything, and I start getting late charges for not paying — and my credit card is fine, thank you very much! Not sure why they are actively trying to drive away customers with the cr*ppy customer service.

Verizon Is horrible! All I want to do is exchange my mother’s non HD cable box for an HD box. I was on hold for about 45 minutes 2 separate times to speak to a person and then told to go to a store that does not exchange boxes. I was told to mail the box in and wait for the new one, set up an appointment to have a FIOS guy come to her house or drive 45 minutes from my house to exchange the box only Monday through Friday. Called a Verizon store nearby guy was so rude. I myself am an Optimum customer and their customer service(speaking to an actual person within 5 minutes) and being able to exchange remotes, boxes, pay your bills is so convenient compared to FIOS. Horrible service and so inconvenient.

The storm has been over for two months. My phone, internet and TV went down this past week, When I call verizon was told it would take 3 days to restore service. I told them that was not acceptable but I was basically told to bad. I set up an appointment for between 8AM and 12 noon and the technician arrived at 5:30PM, I was told he would call me on my cell before he came but he did not, Luckily my son’s were home and could let him in to do the work. They told me he spent 5 –10 min supposedly fixing the issue. Well his fix lasted about 2 hours and then all of the service was down again. When I call verizon was told they could have someone out in 5 days because of the holiday(Christmas) So I was not going to have any phone, TV or internet for a total of about 8 days. Plus I spent over 2 hours of my talk time from my cell phone to deal with this issue since I did not have phone service. I’m not going to rant and rave about the service I just switched providers. I will let my money do the talking. I would warn you to be careful with verizon as if this is the kind of service they provide you may want to consider before you sign up especially since they have a contract and termination fees. I have been to many third world countries were the service is better than what verizon has provided me. I will be switching wireless as soon as my contract is up. My total bills for my communications is about $ 300 and for a company as big as verizon it is nothing but if we all decide to take our $ 300 dollars elsewhere it will add up. Let’s not confused the service of the TV compared to the service when there is a problem that they have to come and fix. Reminds me of the ad they do with all those people who are there to help. Looks like they may need to get a new crew as the ones they have now from technicians to customer service need to be unemployed for a while so they appreciate that the customer and the job you do for them are what provided them with income and work, and the company needs to realize that they will eventually loose when the policies and practices of their company are not truly client centered. I called optimum and they had someone out the next day. I now have basically the same bundle for the same amount of money. I have had service for the holidays and I and my family are very happy no thanks to Verizon.

Go Verizon! We switched to Fios and couldnt be happier with the service. We get super fast internet and a boatload of channels for half the price of Time Warner Cable… and the service is really superior in terms of quality. Please don’t screw us Verizon, we’d love to stay with your service forever.

thi store is the slowest store in the world. 2 employees and 1 manager. The two are slow and the manager just sits there and looks around. i mean take a computer and get to work… Frustrated with the services i waled away, came back 2 hours later to an almost empty store, still had to wait over 30 minutes to return a box.
