Nail Tek and Spa

Well I’m giving this place a 4 not a 5 only because the manager seems rude to her staff. She yells at them in front of customers and I feel bad for them. Not just yells she’s rude to them. However the girl that did my nails did amazing! Her name is Renee. She knows what she is doing and does such a great job! They also have great hours. Longer then most nail salons which works great for me because I work late at times and it’s hard to get in.

BE WARNED — Yesterday at church I was told by a woman who works there that she had to warn me not to come in anymore because of the way she is forced to work. Overbooking, using the same tools over and over, not washing the towels and being made to up sale etc. She told me most of her customers have left after getting toe/​foot fungus and or infections.

I went in here today for a quick fill of my acrylics. I got right in which was great. Soon after the shop got much busier and it was total chaos. The nail tech I had preceded to push different types of nails and services than I normally get and when I declined all offers, she was definitely offended that I didn’t go for any of the «up-​selling» techniques. Finally, the job she did on my nails is sloppy and lopsided. She was also extremely rough with the filing even after I said It hurt. Fearful of worse treatment I will fix my nails at home, go back to my normal shop and never return to this nail business again. I’m giving 2 stars simply because they accommodated my walk-​in but they definitely need to work on their shop atmosphere and customer services techniques.

This is my first Unilocal review. I’ve been to this nail salon before and they were decent. I was getting my car fixed nearby. So I figured I would try them again. It was Wednesday afternoon and the place was slow. Some ladies were nice and welcoming. Of course not the person doing my gel. She didn’t even use water. She didn’t cut my cuticles… I’ve never had to specify how to do a manicure before. As gross as this is, I still had dirt under my nails when I was done. She left my hands under the UV light for way too long. I felt it burning my skin. Then I asked her politely to cut my cuticles and she did one nail… That was just my hands. Then the lady doing my toes cut my toe and now it’s swollen up. Needless to say I am never coming back here again or recommending this place. It was a mixture of rudeness, unsanitary and an unsatisfactory job.

I had the possible the worst experience here. First off I do not leave negative reviews normally but this place needed one for sure… I went to this salon with my friends we made an appointment and everything. When we get there we all get seated but had to wait about an 30 mins before we even got started. Then when they did begin to do our nails they pulled out already used nail equipment… They did wipe it of with alcohol but BY LAW you must use properly sanitary equipment one every person… Wiping it with alcohol is not properly sanitizing the equipment… Not to mention disgusting! That’s how foot fugues and other things get spread! My friend got acrylics and all her nails were crooked and sharp! By the time everyone was done we had spent 3 hrs there. I will never go back!

Great ambiance. I am male and don’t mind going here at least once a month for a med/​ped since I cannot take care of that myself. I do not paint my nails though. Usually no wait. Lots of other stores conveniently located near by. Pleasant experience so far. And try the neck rub. You will pass out while getting one.

I enjoy coming in for a pedicure and hang out with my wife while she gets her stuff. Very polite ladies, great bargain for the money and very relaxing… she n my 3 daughters should’ve never had me come here cuz now I like.
