Description

Specialties

Classic foods prepared in an unconventionally fresh way. Treat yourselves year round to the rewards of our own victory garden with fresh, seasonal, locally grown produce and meat.

With preserved and canned fruits and vegetables, infused vinegars and handcrafted infused cocktails, in addition to buying local wherever possible, we help sustain the regional economy and preserve working family farms while beautifying the rural and urban landscape. Fine dining begins with the finest ingredients, and we’re dedicated to helping artisan farmers bring their produce to your plate…

History

Established in 1971.

Built in 1722, the Accomac has been owned by H. D. Campbell since 1971. Serving as a leader in fine cuisine in the York, Lancaster, and Harrisburg area, Accomac has achieved national acclaim as one of the premier restaurants in the United States. Several of our entrees, as well as our desserts, are done tableside, with the attention to detail that is increasingly hard to find. Our reputation for fine food and service is worldwide. We have had recipes published in many of the leading food magazines: «Gourmet», «Bön Appetit», and «Fine Dining». In addition, we have had recipes published in several cookbooks and were selected by James Beard to be included in Benson and Hedges’ 100 Recipes from 100 of the Greatest Restaurants. For over a decade, we have received an Award of Excellence from the «Wine Spectator» for our outstanding wine list.
