Great diner breakfast and cheap. Exactly what you want from a diner. The food isn’t overly greasy and the price seems like they haven’t changed it since the 50s! Clean enough inside.

I noticed that not too many people mentioned the wieners at Wiener World. That may be because they are missing one ingredient. Oddly enough, so we’re the fries & gravy. That ingredient is seasoning. The hot dogs had a nice snap to them, but that was where it lost it’s bite.(sic) They had no flavor of their own & neither the chili sauce nor the onions added flavor to them. A little cumin in the sauce would have helped tremendously and a flavorful onion would have done it more justice. The fries were OK, but they weren’t salted, nor was the beef gravy which was sparse to begin with. I sure hope the other food here is as good as the reviewers say it is, but as for me, this is a place my late wife & I would call«once & done». Maybe they should change the name to «Breakfast World».

When my parents were looking at homes in the area their realtor recommended Weiner World. He said to ignore the unfortunate name and try either the liver and onions dinner or the gyro pocket. My mom is a big fan of the gyro pocket and my dad is a big fan of the liver and onions. For breakfast my mom swears by the biscuits with sausage gravy. I got the Spanish omelette with chili sauce. It was kind of bland. The coffee is good. The service is great. I wouldn’t get the questionable Spanish omelet again. However, i would totally be willing to go again and try something else. This place is sorta surreal in how little has probably changed in thirty or forty years. If I was making a movie and needed a diner scene, I’d come here for my filming location.

I like Wiener World. They have decent food at very reasonable prices. My wife and I like to go her for breakfast and in general, it rocks. I usually get a number 5 combo and then my wife and I split a pancake on the side and this seems to work well. Only 1 time have I ever had an issue and that was this past Saturday when my breakfast sausage was cooked to incineration. Fast service and normally good food explain why there is always a wait when I go there. I’ll be back.

Typical diner, decent food, fair prices, great breakfast. This diner also happens to have a bar, the alcohol kind as well as the seating kind. Busy for breakfast but they move people quick.

Good place; owner himself said business model is working good — provide good food, inexpensively, all the time. Great staff, open most of the hours, everyone seems to care which is nice in this hometown diner environment. FREEWIFI is amazing, especially since neither the place nor the owner has a website nor even an email address. But they care enough to provide customers with what we want and that is refreshing to say the least!

I’ve been here a few times now, but have only had the pleasure of being in the bar for drinks and have not had the chance to eat the food. This is somewhat of a dive bar, however I happen to enjoy the smaller dive bars. The bartenders and clientele have always been friendly in my opinion. I don’t know if it is a regular thing, but the few times I have been there I have gotten a free shot because I was getting the last shot in the bottle. They have darts and a jukebox for entertainment. They allowed smoking the last time I was there and I imagine they still do. I definitely would not hesitate to come back here if I was in the area and thirsty for some adult beverages.

Love it. A coffee, 2 eggs(any way you like), toast and hash for $ 2.95 can’t beat that. So far all the food I had was great, you know diner food. Can not complain. I have not been to the bar side so can’t tell you about that but the 5 stars def go to the food side. Love love love their chipped beef only wish they’re serve it after 11am. All for it def worth a try.

Small update — apparently on Fridays and Saturdays Wiener World can be a hopping joint! They were playing dubstep there as well(over the juke box, of course, unless the DJ was hiding somewhere in the kitchen). Hipsters, punk rockers, hillbillies, g-thugs, old people, nurses: they were all sitting there, listening to dubstep and putting off their own vibes and it meshed well, or at least as well as it could mesh.

We go there often. I always get a couple Texas Hot Weiners. The last few years they have been losing their appeal with me. There are too many onions and the flavor just isn’t right anymore. I can’t quite figure out what is missing. Maybe my taste buds are failing. Why is it called«Weiner World»? Maybe it has something to do with the«Dog House» that was once nereby on the corner of Market St. and Memory Lane. Now that was a hot dog place!!!

This is a strange, strange place. The food is cheap and plentiful, and the weiners are definitely good, but be prepared for 45 years of smoke and its not exactly squeaky clean. Seating is limited, and I wouldn’t recommend this for families with small children only because of the intense smoky atmosphere.

I have got to say, Wiener World is one of the most interesting/strange places I have EVER been. First off, its called Wiener World. WTF??? What genius came up with that? Its a catchy name, but it just conjures up images of things unrelated to food. The food was decent enough, but nothing that I would go out of my way for. It is supposed to be known for hot dogs(natch) but I have only ever been for breakfast. It does seem like you are in a time warp in this place… surly servers, wood paneling galore, and mustard yellow booths. Every time I’ve been, the place is packed, so I guess its a local fave. I would give the joint 3 stars for food, but it gets an extra one for the super name. If you ever find yourself in York, you should go just to legitimately say you have indeed visited a Wiener World for reals.
