Lake Tahoe – Bleu Wave Cruises

SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE! CREW MEMBERS MADE THE EXPERIENCE 100x better so informative about the lake! Good staff!!! Would recommend this for anyone trying to see the lake from a boat view !!!

We took the two hour cruise to emerald bay.
The crew was extremely friendly and attentive and they could answer all questions about the lake and the surrounding areas.
You get two free drinks at the bar, and they make great cocktails. The views from the boat are amazing.
I had a great time on board of bleu wave and I highly recommend taking this cruise.

My boyfriend and I had two tickets to go a little while ago but the weather was really bad so they sent us new tickets and we finally went last weekend. This was a wonderful scenic boat ride, very peaceful, the Brians and Dan we awesome ! Really nice and funny. Would definitely recommend it to others:)

Advertised as a dinner cruise but turned into a booze cruise. Owner happen to be on board with his friends. Turned into his own personal party. They surrounded bar drinking shots-​hard to get near bar for a drink Only served crackers and cheese. No time to print pictures taken on boat. Very disappointing!!!

Capt Brian, First Mate Lindsey, and Henry were awesome. They treated us as one of their own. They were friendly and informative, telling us many things about Lake Tahoe on our cruise to Emerald Bay and back. I highly recommend this as the number of people is limited and keeps the experience fun for everyone. I hope to return in the summer and take one of their other Lake Tahoe cruises. We had a wonderful time and took lots of pictures.

I wish there was a way to give zero stars… This company is seriously a joke. I’m honestly baffled that they stay in business with the terrible customer service they provide. I have contacted them every day for almost a week now to finalize a charter for our up coming wedding. I’ve expressed the sense of urgency as our wedding is 3 weeks out. Literally I have talked to every employee, including the owner who answered today telling me the h20 levels were not high enough for my destination, yet his employee just confirmed Saturday they were. I told him the situation that I have been waiting a week for a quote (which he did not apologize for the terrible customer service, might I add) and he proceeds to tell me he will look into it and call me back TODAY. Yet, the day is over and once again– no follow up. Even if he didn’t have all the answers, how do you just NOT communicate? If this horribly ran company were in my state of TX, you would be closed down in no time! I’ve never heard of having to chase down a company to try & give them your business. I would NEVER recommend them and I will be sure to let our wedding venue know to not recommend this company on their preferred vendors. Terrible service…

We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. We didn’t have reservations, but they were really accommodating and were able to squeeze us on. The crew was great, and Emerald Bay was lovely. It had just finished raining, so we saw a full rainbow. This was one of the best 2hr cruises I’ve been on.

Brian and crew were awesome. Our family had a great time and learned some new things about Tahoe. I will do this again for sure.

Bad customer service! I booked us online for an afternoon sightseeing tour. I received an email confirmation. We arrived at the marina at the requested time and OOPS, they don’t have our reservation. Sorry, they said, we had a bad employee who we have since fired. But, we said, we paid for for this advance as well as the parking and arranged our whole vacation day around this excursion. SO SORRY they said again, we are all booked up, we will give you a refund. Oh well, SO SAD! Let’s turn this around we said, and we did. We ended up on the lovely happy hour cruise with the the Safari Rose yacht and couldn’t have been happier. If you want to take the chance on Bleu Wave, go ahead, but if you want a sure bet, head over to the the beautiful Round Hill Pines Beach Resort & Marina and journey out to enjoy the lake on the Safari Rose instead.

I would like to pass on my appreciation to Captain Brian, First Mate Tony, and Brandon… On July 22 (first run of the day) I had the pleasure of going out with these gentlemen to Emerald bay. Even with a down pour that started in Emerald Bay. it was smooth sailing. And I had one of the best 2hr cruises! So much that I cancelled my dinner cruise on one of the other ships to do the evening cruise with them the following day (tonight).sad Brandon wasn’t part of the cruise. but it still was amazing and if I was staying in the area longer I would go out again with these gentlemen and on the Bleu Wave. Thank you for making my trip memorable! I am already planning to come back next summer… and looking forward to getting back on the water with y’all!!!

The boat was spotlessly clean. The crew couldn’t have been friendlier or nicer. Boarding was on time. Delightful way to sightsee for a couple of relaxing hours. Buffet lunch was better then I expected. Great 2 free drinks! A definite repeat when we are there again!

The length of the boat ride is solid. The two drinks per person with your tickets is great. The quality of the food is fantastic – even if you do have to serve yourself.
Also, the crew is stellar. Super friendly, easy to talk to and they make the trip a great time.
I imagine the two drinks per person is probably some sort of legal guideline. If it isn’t, I would think – given the price of the tickets – you could get perhaps a third. Just my own adjustment if one could be made.

I would highly recommend choosing this cruise. The Yacht is in top-​notch condition, clean, roomy, with many cool little niches to investigate. There is an onboard bar, different areas for lounging and two restrooms. You can enjoy the views from outside on the different decks or inside. The staff is the epitome of stellar customer service. They seem to actually enjoy answering questions from visitors, taking photos with passengers and giving suggestions on what shouldn’t be missed, while visiting this beautiful paradise. Clearly they love what they do & where they live!
We met people from all over the globe and had a truly wonderful time. All and all this was a delightful cruise and we would definitely do it again!

This is my favorite way to explore the incredible crystal blue water of Lake Tahoe from a 70 foot yacht. Make sure to book your reservations a few days in advance because the boat only seats 49 people and their popular 2 hour lunch cruise often sells out. The boat cruise with lunch and wine is a great value, sailing from Zephyr Cove all the way to Emerald Bay where you can get up close and personal to the second most photographed area in the United States. You can even get great views of Fannette Island and Vikingsholm Castle, a 38 room mansion that is one of the great examples of Scandinavian architecture in the country, with a backdrop of natural snow covered peaks and waterfalls, truly breathtaking.
One tip is to dress in layers as even though there are plenty of areas to sit inside the boat, there are some winds out on the Lake so come prepared.

So i came to Tahoe for my mini Vacay with my friend. I was so worried because the day before we booked, the weather was really bad. Luckily, the day we cruised it was perfect!
I intended to go with the M. S Dixie but because of the low water, big boat like that cannot go around emerald bay (sadddd) so i am glad i picked the Blue Wave for noon cruise. Since the yacht is smaller, it can go around the Emerald bay with no problems.
Its a beautiful yacht. Mac occupy probably around 40 people. Its very clean and very safe. They have a small buffet included and 2 drink tickets per person. With the drink ticket, you can ask for any non alcohol drinks and beers. The service is great.
The cruise was awesome especially when we reached the emerald bay. The captain gave us some info about the castle its history.
This is a great experience that you should not miss when you want a mini get away with your family, friends or lover. They will surely love it too.

Maybe 3.5 stars. We had already been on the MSS Dixie II cruise so our hotel concierge highly recommended Bleu Wave. For $ 55 we were promised a gourmet lunch and 2 free drinks a piece — extra for premium booze — aboard a 70 foot yacht. For an extra $ 20 bucks we got a nice photo — it was the 37^th Anniversary of our engagement after all ;)
First, the free shuttle to and from our hotel was late and we got on board way too late to get a seat outside. Even our shuttle driver said the lunch wasn’t exactly gourmet and consisted of bread, a cold cuts & cheese platter, tortilla chips and salsa. The cruise itself was breath taking and the crew was exceptional (5 stars for them). We did get closer to shore than on the other cruises and got great shots of Vikingshome and the Tea House. Plus it was an absolutely gorgeous day to be on the water.
My biggest gripe is people who bring young children. One couple decided to take over our seats inside when we got up to go outside to stand on deck for a while. I left our sweatshirts covering our places and when we got back I told her that those seats were taken and she looked at me like someone from Night of the Living Dead. The one toddler she had to constantly hold on to chased many of the inside older passengers outside with her whining and crying. Oh yeah, the kid was having a great time, thanks.
I’d do this cruise again with two changes: drive myself and get there early so as to get a seat outside. It is a year-​round attraction so going when kids are still in school might alleviate the bratty kid problem.
