Tahoe Vacations

Nan and the team over at Tahoe Vacations are amazing! They were very responsive and accomodated all of our requests during our weekend in Tahoe.
One note: I found that the pictures on the website were not representative of the homes themselves. Your best bet is to call, describe your requirements, and ask for help in choosing the best home for your needs.
We had a large group so we initially booked 106a. When we arrived, the cabin was not quite what we were expecting. I called up Nan and asked for some help. Despite the late hour, she listened to my concerns and arranged for us to move down the street to the beautiful and expansive 107a. At 10pm, she went down to the office and left us the keys to the new place in the lockbox so that we could move that night. Throughout the weekend, Nan went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed.

We recently checked out from one of the properties they manage on Myron off Skyland.
We loved this place. Let me first compliment the staff.
Leslie, Nann, and Shannon were very helpful and professional when addressing my questions through email and through my phone calls. Ted at
was also very helpful.
The unit we stayed at was clean, spacious, and very nice. The unit had modern ammenities, an awesome kitchen that was perfect for our chef friend, a perfectly functioning washer and dryer and all the small stuff people sometimes forget such as laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, toilet paper and sponges for washing your dishes. It also had a fully functioning hot tub, and bbq grill.
Tues morning was garbage day-​which I did not know until the garbage truck woke me up. I had no idea what I was going to do about the full garbage bags in the bear-​proof bins.
A little while later someone that contracts with TM came by on their truck asking if we had any garbage they can take for us.
They were part of the cleaning crew I believe.
This was great.
My entire party loved the unit and loved the seamless booking process.

This place is awesome offers beautiful scenery The employees there are all very nice so if you’re looking to do your wedding or Hawaiian party or luau get a hold of Doug Nice guy their main ballroom can hold up anywhere from 100 people and up Aloha !!!

Overall my group had a great experience with Tahoe Vacations. I will first write about the staff/​company and then review the cabin (1004 Myron; cabin 110A) we rented.
From the first time I called Tahoe Vacations they were extremely helpful and nice. We were looking for a cabin to rent for the 4^th of July weekend and dropped the ball and waited too long to find a place. I had been online with no luck. I finally called Tahoe Vacations with the hope they may have something I wasn’t seeing online.
Evie was extremely helpful and told me about a cabin that was going through some renovations and was not yet listed on their website. She bragged about how great it was and that we would love it. Of course I asked her if she would book it for us right away. It was a little out of our price range but she worked with us to make it work.
I rented the cabin blindly (without seeing pictures). I trusted it would be very nice because of how excited the staff was about it.
In the weeks before we arrived I would call and bug them about one thing or the other and they were more than happy to help me out. I was worried there wasn’t going to be enough sleeping room so they offered to put their personal brand new air mattress in the cabin for us to use. We didn’t end up needing it BUT the fact that they even offered to help with that was very nice, in my opinion.
Lastly, we arrived in Tahoe well past midnight. I knew we were going to be getting in late so I called a few days before and the staff sent me an email with all the after-​hours key pickup directions. It was simple!
Now, the cabin itself. WE LOVED THIS PLACE. All the renovations the owners did were just perfect. We really enjoyed the open concept living space! and there was even a small library/​bonus room right off it too. The pool table/​hot tub were great to have! So nice to come back from a day at the lake and relax in the hot tub and play a game of pool. The furniture was not brand new but it was perfect for a cabin. Very comfy and was in great condition. I was worried about not having enough places for people to sleep BUT there was definitely not a shortage in this house. There was enough room for 10 people to sleep ON BEDS and 4 couches people could have slept on AND an open space to set up an air mattress.
The master bathroom was updated beautifully and the laminate floors (very nice style) were great for cleanup. Carpet in the bedrooms made them super cozy and all had great closet space WITH ORGANIZERS!
The backyard was big and spacious. Plenty of room for horseshoes (sand pit) or other activities.
Everything was stocked in the cabin. i. e: the kitchen had all necessary utensils (most of them brand new), cleaning supplies were provided along with heavy duty trash bags.
If I had to say a complaint it would be that the BBQ did not work BUT guys will be guys and are always up for a challenge. There was a sand pit in the back that they made a fire pit out of with cinderblocks and we cooked our dinner that way.
We were also told that Zephyr cove beach was only ¹⁄₅^th a mile away by a trail through the woods. It ended up being more like a mile (or at least it felt like that). BUT it really didn’t bother us. On the way to Zephyr beach we saw many small «private» beaches that we ended up spending a day on. It was great.
From the staff to the cabin we had an all around fantastic experience this last weekend. We are already planning to go up and use Tahoe vacations (and hopefully get the same cabin) in the near future! I think this place would look so cute in the snow too!!!

We have used this rental company the past 3 yrs and this was our LAST AND FINAL TIME GIVING THESE PEOPLE OUR MONEY!
The first year we had a hot tub they couldn’t fix and clogged toilets.
The second year things were fine, had a 25% discount from previous yr issues
This year, well where do I begin…
1) cob webs cob webs cob webs! EVERYWHERE! When was the last time this property had a cleaning?! Cob webs even hanging off the dining room chandelier right above where we ate! Disgusting! The house had an overall DIRTY feeling!
2) extremely dated… sure it’s Tahoe and that could be a selling point but the fact that it was so dirty just added to it being so out dated… Fans in the bathroom were extremely loud… if someone was in bathroom downstairs you could hear the fans upstairs… wall heater in one room pretty much kept ppl up half the night due to it being SO LOUD. If it was turned off the temp would drop at least 10°. Not OK for the winter with a 7mo and 3yr old in that room…
The couches were old and needed to be replaced. One couch pulled out to a bed but heck NO! Wasn’t going to let anyone sleep on that disgusting thing!
3) at least 10+ light bulbs were OUT! Again, when was the last time this house was cleaned/​checked on? When one person called the mgt company they said that there were light bulbs under the sink. We offered to change a couple. Ok… in one bathroom the bulbs were out, one NEEDED light to see because it had no windows. Again, how did the cleaning crew clean the bathroom with no lights!!! Ugh!
The living room had track lighting well, ⁶⁄₈ light bulbs were out and we couldn’t replace those.
4)there was a huge fan above the pool table that didn’t work! No surprise there. We were actually afraid to turn it on at first because who knew how much dirt/​dust it would blow everywhere… gross. Well again, it didn’t work.
5)chairs in dining room need to be replaced! Upon checking in they did tell us to be careful with the chairs, as to not lean back cuz they weren’t in good shape… we were a large party traveling with children so that was a hazard. But when all an adult does is SIT DOWN and the chair leg buckles… ITS TIME TO GET NEW CHAIRS! Where do you draw the line?!
6) only ONE trash bag for the kitchen was supplied for the entire 3 night stay! Had to go to store to buy some.
7) shower in room with loud heater LEAKED!
8) sink in bathroom with burnt out light bulbs had a SLOW drain.
9) knob on washer was difficult to turn, had use an object to turn knob to proper setting.
10) dryer was pretty weak, had to dry clothes twice…
Overall, we will not be renting with this company again. Couldn’t wait to check out and head home to shower!

Rented 642 Zephyr Cove for a week over New Year’s. First, a review of Tahoe Management, then the house. I was interested in a property run by TM that I discovered online. When I called to inquire about it I was told it was already rented. Leslie asked if she could help me find another place that met our needs. I told her the two primary requirements, a hot tub and pool table, and she directed me to the house I rented. Either she is unfamiliar with the properties she is renting or she has an incredible ability to stretch the truth, as the pool table was totally unusable. Beware the pictures. It is located in a «game room» above the garage, separate from the house itself. It is equipped with its own heater, but after running the heat on full blast for 3 hours the room couldn’t heat above 55. It was cold, the décor consisted of some furniture that looked like it was just pulled off the street and one wouldn’t touch, all three pool sticks were broken in some fashion or other, one of the pool balls was actually wooden and the table rocked back and forth. Getting down to the room involves surviving a treacherous climb down the outdoor staircase (yes, we were aware of this inconvenience)…what we weren’t told was that the stairs and banisters were falling apart and there was no way to turn on the lights that were there. If it had been snowing it’d have been a death trap. In all fairness I didn’t inform management about these issues until departure, at which point Nan gave me a snide smile and said we should have contacted them as they have other pool sticks and would replace the heater. Very insulting to know that it’s the customer responsibility to let management know that they didn’t clean up and prep the house properly for incoming renters. I’ve noticed that the house itself is for sale online. If I were the owner I’d be paying closer attention to the rapid depreciation of the house being caused by a poor management team.
Wireless. There is none. Doesn’t even take a good management team to recognize that we live in the 21^st century and that week-​long renters might need to work or get online at some point. To be fair I didn’t think to inquire about the wired status of the house until 2 days before going. My comment that I would never have rented the house if I’d have known this ahead of time was ignored by Leslie. She’s obviously battle-​hardened by a difficult job that entails dealing with a steady stream of complaints by renters, but that’s not an excuse to do a poor job. She proceeded to lie about being able to catch a connection from an open router in a neighboring house. Bush league, but I knew better and it was too late to do anything, so Starbucks it was.
Now the house. It can only be accessed from the rear as the road leading to the front door is closed during the winter. I was informed of this by TM, but wasn’t told that the driveway was steep and curved. If it had been snowing we wouldn’t have been able to get cars up it into the garage and there wouldn’t have been near enough parking. The staircase from the garage to the house is dangerous and was not lit. As mentioned above the pool table room is a non-​factor and it is borderline false advertising to even mention it for winter renters. None of the beds had sheets that actually fit them and sheets were doubled up to make it work. There was plenty of extra bedding and pillows stuffed into one of the bedroom closets but the smell coming from the closet was scary. There was no organization and either things were dirty or mold was growing in the closet pile. We emptied the dishwasher ourselves upon arrival. There was minimal effort put into cleaning the place before our arrival, perhaps explaining why TM didn’t charge a cleaning fee. They don’t clean. Thank goodness for the laundry/​dryer, which I used extensively.
Halfway through our stay water began leaking from the ceiling in the lower floor bathroom when one of the upper showers was in use. I did call TM on this issue and they did promptly send someone to check it out, but that was the extent of it. The guy indicated that this wasn’t a new thing and didn’t do anything to fix it, which wasn’t a huge surprise since we were still occupying the house, but I was surprised that there was no apology or recognition of our inconvenience. They just didn’t care.
The positives: heat worked great in the main house, the kitchen was stocked really well with pots, pans, utensils ect. (though it was likely stuff accumulated from what others left over time), and the laundry/​dryer worked well. Also, the house DOES have a spectacular view overlooking the lake.
I would have been placated with some kind of refund, but this crew is so entrenched that I can see them laughing in my face if I were to mention it; they couldn’t even apologize for anything. I recommend against dealing with Tahoe Management.

I booked 221 Clubhouse at Lake Village with my husband and a friend for a weekend away. I was impressed with the décor/​updates this unit has. Beautiful granite throughout, a cute fireplace, comfy couch and best of all a hot tub upstairs! Unlike the other Unilocal reviewer, I had no problems with leakage. The ceiling has since been patched up and I have attached a picture to show this. Plenty of pots/​pans, glasses, utensils, EVERYTHING! WIFI worked just fine for us too. no complaints there. The heater also worked great. The jetted tubs in the rooms are also a plus. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be booking again.

Be aware that the pictures of 221 Clubhouse at Lake Village are not a good representation of the unit. We were unpleasantly surprised with the following: Water stains and poor repairs on the living room ceiling. Both the kitchen sink and the upstairs restroom sink leaked. Serious dirty spots all over the carpets. Only one out of three telephone lines worked and there was no DSL/​WiFi as described in the unit description. Ants in the lower restroom.
On a positive note, the hot tub on the deck was a big plus!
The management company did send someone out to fix the sinks on day two. The DSL/​WiFi issue was never addressed, even after two calls to the management company. Not good as this was a big reason for choosing this unit. Oh, the management company did suggest Burger King down the street for free WiFi.
Make sure the issues identified above have been resolved before booking 221 Clubhouse with this management company.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! seriously.
After finally staying at this place, i would expect them to at least «attempt» to make things better for me especially since they f-​ed up my prior reservation and gave me all that bs for it. but NO. instead they were oblivious to their own mistake and did not provide the hospitality they promised on their website.
On the weekend we went up to tahoe (president’s day weekend) there were huge traffic jams going up to tahoe, so i had called Tahoe Management Co letting them know i was going to be late. I was reassured that it was going to be okay and that someone will be there to give me the keys to the house no matter how late i was going to arrive… I was stuck in traffic for 10 hours so i did not arrive in Tahoe until 11:30 pm. With my phone running out of battery, gps dead, and two upset kids in the car we were NOT happy campers when we arrived at the office.
What do we find at the office when we arrived? A EMPTY AND DARK OFFICE. WTF. On one of the doors it had a note about calling a number for after hours service. So with the limited amount of cell phone battery power we had left we called the number so we can get the code for the door to get to the key.. it freaking took 25 minutes for them to answer the phone. WTF!!! By 15 minutes of calling i was ready to freaking take the nearest chunk of ice and bust that door open! What kind of after hour emergency service line takes freaking 25 minutes to answer!!!
When we arrived at the house, everything looked okay at first sight. But the sofa couch (which was suppose to sleep two) was janky, broken (the hinge completely fell off and was lopsided), and did not come with sheets and blankets. One thing i did not get about this house was, why is it that they can provide us with 30 pillows (no lie, one of the cabinets in the rooms had 15 pillows stuffed inside the drawers) but not enough blankets? There were questionable stains on some of the bedsheets and comforters (and quite frankly i did not want to know what the stains were. they were highly questionable!
The heater in the house works, but the only real place that gets any of the heat is the bathrooms. Once you turn it on, the bathroom heater will blow hot area on at full blast, but the rooms will only blow on low medium setting. WTF? After two hours of trying to figure out the heater system. we gave up.
The fully stocked kitchen with pots and pans they claimed they provided came with one mini frying pan (for cooking up individually sized scramble eggs) and one small pot (barely enough to even cook one box of pasta with the Teflon all scratched off on the bottom of the pot.
They gave us five rolls of toilet paper for 11 people for 3 days. When we went to the office to get a new tank of propane fuel (which they didn’t even deliever to us, we had to go and get it) the lady at the made a snotty face and said «that’s something we should’ve brought when you first arrived!» ummm EXCUSE ME? we were suppose to bring our own toilet paper to a freaking cabin that we rented out? Do you bring your own toilet paper to hotels? i think not! Granted she did give us another two more rolls but that comment really struck me in the wrong way!
I would stay away from them if possible. There’s plenty of other reputable rental companies out there where you can rent from.
PLUS there ghetto bathroom sinks are NOT ATTACHED TO THE WALL! my damn mac makeup brush fell thru the cracks and i have no way of getting to it. freaking they owe me a freaking $ 32 makeup brush!

I booked a place in Tahoe for a bachelor party in April and had to pay a 500 dolllar deposit. A few weeks later we had to change our date but the house we watned was not available. We ended up moving houses and after 24 hours they were able to credit my orginal deposit!!!
What awesome customer service!

This agency helps me find great deals on renting cabins and condos for winter and summer vacations in Tahoe. They are close enough to the Stateline border for casinos, Heavenly ski resort, and other activities. The convenience of picking up and dropping off instructions and keys helps accommodate late arrivals when there are traffic delays.
