Cibo Espresso

The staff at this Cibo are beyond friendly — but in a good way, not the annoying friendly service :). They get to know you, your coffee and always serve you with a smile. I really enjoy my early morning chat with them all. They make great coffee and food too of course!
Well worth the slight detour off king William street if you’re in the area :)

As far as «chain store» coffee shops go in Adelaide, Cibo is the best by far. Each store does carry the marks of a franchise such as brand specific cups, napkins, sugars, and uniforms along with the identical menu items in the cabinet but each store really does have their own little personality.
The «new» Cibo on Waymouth street is nurturing the look of «The Hipster Barista» with almost every male behind the coffee machine sporting the on trend beard of the genre.
The store keeps it’s main doors wide open to the street meaning you can often smell it before you can see it… yum the downside being that it can be very chilly if you are trying to escape Radelaides winter.
The service is friendly and quick during the morning take-​away rush with the «and a name for your order» process but it slows down a little later in the day to suit the more relaxed clientele.
For the dine in experience, the buzzer system alerting you that it’s time to pick up your goods from the counter is impersonal but effective.
The store is boasting some very trendy décor and is fitting in well with the many higher-​end restaurants along Waymouth st.
Drop by in the middle of the day and you are sure to see many suits conducting midday meetings.
All in all another great addition to the Cibo portfolio.

Sit outside in the new parklet on Waymouth Street (good thinking Adelaide City Council) or inside on the comfy big chair at the back.
Friday afternoons it’s the place to enjoy an espresso martini or Italian spritzer to kick start the weekend!
