I love coffee shops who can make a good long black … seriously, that is harder than it sounds! Un Caffe Bar is one of those places. Delicious coffee(I also love their soy lattes — though no Bonsoy), yummy snacks(I’m thinking salted caramel tarts and citrus tarts — *drool*), and now gelati(I keep meaning to try that salted caramel gelati: P). This is one of my ‘big 3′ coffee shops in Adelaide for my weekly morning fix(the others are Coffee Branch and Bean Bar on Gouger Street). Friendly staff are an added bonus, too :)

Part of The Lobby on Weymouth Street, this is a good clean and reasonably fast café where you can get good coffee, tea, cold beverages and some very nice cakes and fresh savory food. The citrus tart is my all time favourite on the sweets list. Sandwiches and foccacias, wraps and light meals or salads are also available. Piandina with basil is a very nice feed, the Italian rolls are good and always sparkilng fresh, pizza’s all very gorgeous and not especially expensive. The food is available all day and they do open quite early which is good if you have to trek into work without any breakfast sometimes. There are a few Un Caffe’s around but it is not a chain store as such, it’s a family business growing slowly and surely with their main emphasis on locally roasted coffee and modern fresh food. Being part of The Lobby, the place can get very busy and sometimes and fills up with office workers all nattering to each other, and so a little too noisy during the peak mid afternoon lunch hour, but all in all its a good place for a feed and being in the thick of the CBD obviously helps because it is close to your work station if you are working in the city. There are high seats along a bar facing out into the street and tables and chairs, you can also go out the back and sit in the outdoor covered area.
