Have been coming here for years and it amazes every time. May look a bit dodgy from the outside but don’t let that fool you! Great authentic Northern Indian, Thai, Malaysian, and Chinese. My tip for fellow vegos; the vegetarian plate from the Indian place is the bomb!

I’ve been coming to Hawkers Corner and its always been a great quick meal, I love the Indian vegetarian set, the Thai place is great and the Chinese have always been friendly and helpful to make food not so spicy for my kids when younger. One of the standard dishes has always been Laksa from the Malaysian cuisine stall which use to be good, not the best in Adelaide but at least it tasted like a Laksa. What I got presented with tonight was nothing like it, it was watery and a flavour that couldn’t be described as Laksa it tasted peppery and both myself and my daughter couldn’t eat it. When we complained we were told Thankyou sorry and were not offered a replacement or a refund. So be warned if you plan to come to Hawkers for Laksa it ain’t what it use to be!

We hadn’t been here for 5 years so I was very thankful the Unilocal reviews were still positive. The«kids» had fond memories of visiting, and thankfully their tastebuds had developed past boiled rice. It’s still a terrific place to bring the kids — plenty of choice, plenty of action and cheap! We had vegetarian cakes(crisp, flavoursome), then Tom Yum(sour and spicy in one cure all bowl), butter chicken with Naan and the obligatory Chinese tea(at $ 1/serve!). All terrific meals, generous servings, and about $ 12/head by the end of the night! An absolute winner eat in or take away. ps In summer with kids, grab your order and head to the park over the other side of the road — keeps everyone happy.

I’ve been eating at Hawker’s Corner for over 15 years and it hasn’t changed a bit. With four different kitchens, the only downside is trying to choose which cuisine to order. The Malaysian kitchen has the best green chicken curry in Adelaide. Hawker’s Corner is great fun for kids, especially the Frog in the Pond from the dessert stall.

Amazing value for money– always tasty and due to the great variety and choice there’s always something to please you! Like many Adelaide-ians I’ve been coming here for years. Hawker’s Corner is more like a little food court or cafeteria than a restaurant. Select from several vendors selling a range of Asian cuisines, order a drink and sit down and wait for your delicious fare to arrive. The great thing is that if you can’t decide between a group what to eat, this place will cater to you. I prefer my food fresh cooked so try not to order anything that is ‘sitting there’ although the pre-cooked meals are pretty good too. Most recently I ordered choo chee chicken which was served with rice for the low price of $ 9– how can you go wrong? I’m not sure I could even cook it for that price! It’s tasty and fast and if all you’re after is a good meal and are willing to compromise a little on the atmosphere then get around it!

It’s a hard place to rate with all the stalls, so I’ll rate the experience as a whole and let you know that I only really tried the Malaysian stall, but I browsed at the others. The first thing that you need to know is that it’s pretty cheap. If you spend more than $ 15 on a meal and a drink for one person, you’re having an expensive night here. My favourite is to order a beef curry and some coconut rice. It’s really quite good. The serving sizes aren’t enormous, but they’re still pretty good, considering the price. Generally, my wife and I will share a main and have a side of something else each, and we’ll be pretty full for not much more than $ 20. It does get busy, but usually it’s not too bad. I like it.

Popular with the locals and students especially on a Friday night. The food court boast Indian, Malaysian, Thai and Chinese hawker type food. My favourite would have to be the Malaysian stall. They do a good char keoy teow, curry laksa and hokkien mee dishes here. Don’t bother getting the nasi lemak dish though as the sambal was awful. Prices range from $ 9-$ 10.50. I never bother with the Indian stall as it is way to expensive but you will find some good Indian bread and vegetarian dishes. Go for the Tom Yam at the Thai stall and sizzling beef and spring rolls at the Chinese stall. A dedicated drink stalls with coke, juices, soya bean, beer and wine would appease any diner. All in all, it’s a pleasant little Asia under one roof.

This is a mini food court where substance wins over style. It is dirt cheap! And about as authentic as you’ll get in Adelaide outside of Chinatown. I appreciate when the food handlers appear to actually originate from the country whose cuisine they’re serving. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere in it’s own little world on West Tce, but the food is so good it’s worth a detour from the main food strips. I tend to walk multiple semi-circle laps ogling the delicious looking(and smelling) delights, struggling to decide. It’s a tough call but once you do choose you get a decent mountain of food. In a nutshell — bang for your buck!

Hawker’s corner gives you a bit of everything in the one place. It’s great for families like mine who fight over where to go to dinner. At Hawkers, everyone can enjoy what they want. There is Indian, Malaysian, Chinese, or Thai. You can order from one or all place. I love the Malaysian, in particular, the rengdang. It doesn’t have the true flavours of a rengdang, but it has a nice curry flavour. It’s really laid back and casual, and open for lunch and dinner. The best part of Hawkers is that it’s a cheap meal.

If you are looking for a cheap, fast meal and what a bit of everything. This is the ideal place to visit. Set up in a food court and school cafeteria environment, you can choose from a wide selection of South-East Asian Cuisine. Choosing from a menu is hard enough in itself. let alone trying to figure out if you’ll be ordering from the Chinese, Malaysian, Indian or Thai section. If you can’t decide, order a dish from them all. The venue is licensed, so grab a drink while you decide, and take a seat. All sections will promptly bring the food out to you. The prices are very cheap — I’m convinced you can’t buy the materials for what they charge here. This is why I keep coming back for more, and then re-order take away to heat up later. Pro tip: If you can’t find your table number, remember to look straight up(You’ll find it hanging from the ceiling).
