Ekibin Park South is a great place for a fun few hours. It’s more of a soccer field than a park, but as no club plays there it is still a public place. The field is full-sized, has all the correct line markings and regulation size goals. It even has nets for both the goals, a huge bonus as all soccer players would know. The creek cuts very close to one sideline, providing a bushy area right down the length of the field. It might save the ball from going in the creek, but a long search would be imminent for any ball that enters too far into the bushes. On the other sideline, a hill comes very close to the edge of the field; a player taking a corner from the southern end would have to run down this hill! Luckily this hill also provides a perfect watching area. The park is not just for soccer fans, many a dog-owner will visit the park for a run around with their favourite pup, and the area is perfect for frisbee.
