Variety on Gorge carries a lot of the same kind of stock that you find in most bargain stores these days — household stuff, gardening bits and pieces, a little auto section (with a really handy windscreen mounted iPhone holder for less than $ 5, which actually holds the phone well AND allows you to keep your case on — but, uh, that’s a whole other story, right??), batteries, some chocolates and lollies, soaps, stationery, etc. There’s one big difference, being an independent bargain store, Variety on Gorge has selectively chosen some really nice quality products, rather than just what comes through from a head office — I quite enjoy hunting through their stock without having to wonder if what I find is decent quality or not.
It is a bit of a maze, but you find more interesting things that way, I’m sure :)
