Best coffee in Balmain East. Food choices have improved over time and the chef is pretty good now. Kevin is the owner and super nice and remembers exactly what you like. Great café, we are regular patrons.

They Don’t use quality ingredients. Ordered the American breakfast with bacon, scrambled eggs, Roma tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms on sourdough. Honestly I can make it much better. Eggs were a sad sloppy mess, tomatoes weren’t even cooked (simply just sliced into quarters), mushrooms lacked flavour. Also ordered the blueberry brioche French toast and avocado Roma tomatoes on toast — which they didn’t have either (out of a pretty short menu this was stupid, especially since their French toast was apparently their best seller). Definitely WONT be back again.
