Perhaps it’s the Asian in me, but Jumplings was only ok. For $ 13, we got 4 duck jumplings over udon soup. Jumpling Review: the dumplings were very neatly wrapped and the skin was crisply pan fried. The filling was bursting in ducky flavor(good!), they it was also bursting with an almost tangible MSG flavor(bad!) as well. It’s hard to put my finger on what it was, but the filing tasted both good and strangely odd at the same time. On top of our noodles, they placed mayo and chili sauce even though I specifically ask for no mayonnaise. Similar to the jumpling filling, the soup was full of good and interesting flavors. The also placed a lot of near raw cabbages in the soup which didn’t add much to the taste. In all, it was an experience to have Jumplings but not something I’m dying to try again.

I have only met one person who isn’t on the Jumpling train after trying them. They are mighty delicious… combining the right amount of crunch from the cabbage, slippery slerpiness from the noodles and flavorful crisp and softness of the dumplings. Jumplings are a must try as they fairly cheap and seem to be made of fresh real ingredients. The sizes are pretty big and I have opted for the snack pack for lunch with an extra dumpling rather than getting the noodle bowl. However if you are hungry, a big water or its dinner time go all il and get the noodles because you won’t be disappointed with the dish. I would highly recommend trying the vegetarian or the duck as these are my favorite sometimes I get a mix of the two.

YUMYUMYUM so happy these guys are set up at the subi markets(not sure how long for considering the impending doom facing the markets) Had the duck jumplings with udon noodles, slathered with japanese mayo & chilli sauce. OMG these tastiest! so delicious. As soon as I finished I had to stop myself going up and ordering more because they were so moreish. Will definitely have to add these to my Subi markets regulars.

Oh dear lord. This is why the food bloggers have been going on about this guy’s food. Holy moly I could eat the prawn dumpling udon salad all day, every day. I wish I was eating it right now. Reasonable prices and sizes, the dishes were Laura dinner appropriate size — which is large for those who haven’t seen me eat. Try these Japanese dumpling dishes as soon as you have the chance — I’m devastated I waited so long!

The new pop-up food truck at Curtin through Park’d is Jumplings(Japanese style dumplings) which are a wonderfully delicious creation. Sometimes it can be an adventure to hunt down the truck, especially when cravings take over but with persistence and a bit of patience for the line, you will not be disappointed. Silly me, not up with technology, if you are not interested in hunting and just want it NOW then best to head straight to to get your jumpling fix. Today I got 6 of the chicken jumplings with truffled ponzu and salad which was just fresh, fast, filling and delicious! The jumplings were cooked to order and crispy and fresh and mixed with the cabbage style salad and sauce was just a dream. If you are not near Curtin, then hit up the website: to find a location near you. If you need more jumplings then head to their warehouse located on Milford Street, East Victoria Park which will be opening up soon to the public. I plan on bulk buying! Thumbs up Curtin on introducing new and exciting food as lets be honest we are all a bit sick of the mass produce food that promises a lot and delivers nothing that come from the cafes on campus(despite Anganzi, which has nice salads). All the food vans are on a 6 month trial, so let’s all band together and make sure jumplings becomes permanent!
