Chez nous is a café without pretension. A rarity in the city.
They offer quick and affordable meals that some would consider classics of the café menu. Having been a few times for lunch and once for breakfast, the sandwiches I’ve had have always given me a home cooked feeling.
I can’t comment on the coffee but the food was good, though lacking a little in the flavour department.
Service has always been very friendly for me.

I was waiting for a pickup at the transit station across the road so dropped in here for breakfast. It was tasty, well priced and had a home cooked feel about it. I had the Chez Nous Special breakfast and enjoyed it.

This is one of my regulars due to a customer in the area. It really caters for the businesses in the area as you will see by its menu and style. There really isn’t much else in the close vicinity that is very good and Roma St station across the road is not good at all. I find the coffee there is consistent, not brilliant but still good. I usually get the banana bread which is also quite good. The staff are friendly enough, some more than others. They can get busy during lunch time and then it can be very impersonal and rushed.
Not a bad spot and worthwhile if you are in the area looking for a coffee and place to sit down.

How can a bacon burger have beetroot, but no burger? Why is there a hard boiled egg in a Caesar salad? These guys need to crack open a cookbook. No restrooms either.

Chez Nous is reliable. They’ve earned a solid and steady loyal following from local workers. Seating inside and outdoors on the patio, which catches the afternoon winter sun. Breakfast from 6:30 and there’s a coffee cart on the patio.
Coffee is good; sandwiches, and hearty meals from the catering kitchen, including the house special: grilled fish, for around $ 10. Coffee happy hour is 2 – 3 pm.
