Nobu atmosphere is upbeat and can be quite loud. Not typical of a fine dining restaurant. But the food is to die for. The highlights are the black cod miso. The flavour penetrates every single flake of the fish. And the fish is of up most quality being extremely tender yet holds the texture of the fish. The soft shell crab and watermelon was also tasty. The watermelon contrasts so well with the crab and it really bursts in your mouth.

It was not my first, nor will it be my last, fine dining experience at Nobu. Cocktails at the bubble bar first gave me a nice buzz before emerging into the friendly dining room. The menu is incredible. I’ve had both the al a carte and chef’s special menus, you can’t go wrong with either. Choosing a favourite dish is like choosing a favourite child(frankly that’s easier than this). Just know you’ll be getting melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, fresh produce, juicy cooked meats all with sauces that have you licking the plate. The service is faultless. Every time a drink or dish was finished someone was on hand to whip it away. They had eagle eyes but I couldn’t see them anywhere. Yes it’s expensive. Yes you have to brace the Crown complex crowd. But it’s a special treat and totally worth it.

One of my favourite Japanese fusion places! Great for special occasions. Love that it’s a sharing place to eat. Food is extremely good quality. The salted caramel miso parfait is my absolute favourite dessert

Went here for the first time for a friends birthday with high expectations and wasn’t let down! Excellent service, accompanied with some of the tastiest Japanese food I’ve ever eaten. Would 100% recommend the Lava Cake if you’re a green tea lover. Can’t wait for an excuse to go again.

I removed the banana leaf that concealed a cod fillet that was so juicy and delicious it was salivating right back at me. The Omakase Nobu ‘Signature’ was the choice on this evening and the cod was my absolute favourite. 8 courses of artfully plated Japanese and South American fusion was presented to us over a 2 hour seating. The food was as incredible as the bill. But don’t let that put you off. Nobu is for special occasions. I thoroughly recommend it.

This was AWESOME went here for my 18th and had teppanyaki cooked by our own personal chef. The chef was full of character and has some amazing quick hands. It wasn’t only food, it was a show! The food is to die for, been to Japan a few times and this is better. With its own twist of South America. The food just melted in your mouth and everything was high grade ingredients.

After all this time of hearing how good Nobu was we got the opportunity to try it at last for ourselves when we sneaked in and had a snappy meal before Wicked at the theatre. That snappy meal turned into a banquet quick smart and I had a touch of the dreaded food coma going into the show. I’m not really all that into stage shows but it’s a good way to get out for a night with the girlfriend and do something she really enjoys. I must say that after the last time we did dinner and a show and Modo Mio, they had a reduced menu but didn’t tell us of this prior but was happy to know that Nobu was firing on all cylinders and the chef held nothing back in laying down some seriously good nosh. It wasn’t your every day run of the mill Japanese, if you could say that about Japanese. The food was a fusion of Japanese and South American influences and was an outstanding evening from beginning to end and I highly recommend it to anyone but even better if you like high grade Wagyu or seafood and fine dining.

Nobu has a reputation to live up too and I have to say that it did that last night. We had tried to book in but found it to be fully booked, but we were told that they may have something available on the night. Given that it was a birthday meal we thought we’d try and we were rewarded with seats at the sushi bar and the best meal I’ve ever had. The service was superb. Our server was fantastic as she reeled off the specials and answered our questions. When the food and drinks arrived(we elected that it comes as it was ready) it was amazing. A fantastic fusion of Japanese and American food that I can’t wait to have again — though my bank balance wants to recover first. Oh and the cheesecake was so good I may have embarrassed myself by licking the plate if the server hadn’t been so efficient.

Nobu is an interesting place. If you are looking for a straight up Japanese place Nobu isn’t the place to go. Their style is a South American/Japanese fusion and, while I was sceptical, they really pull it off. They do a special bento box that includes valet parking at Crown — quite how the valet parking works I’m not sure because you have to park before you get to the restaurant. Definitely a cool place to visit for a variation on a classic theme.

Too much hype. Didn’t impress at all. We went back 2 other times but the food didn’t wow us. Setting is beautiful & the service is fantastic.

Having been a lover of Rockpool for celebrations it has taken me years to get around to checking out Nobu and I have been betraying myself since the first bite of my meal on Saturday night. It was just that good. We started by being seated at the bar for a drink before being taking through to our seats. This great touch does set the mood for the night and send a small message that you need to have brought your credit card as your night isn’t going to be cheap. Due to a last minute booking we were unable to get an a la carte table however we were able to get seats at the tempanyaki station for a six o’clock start. We opted for the 188 $ menu and were blown away by the variety, complexity, taste and freshness of the ten courses that followed. The decadent meal was perfect for a celebration. The staff were wonderful from the artistry of our chef to our waitress who was working multiple tables and giving us all the gold class treatment. They were helpful although we didn’t have any allergies or food preferences we noticed them altering meals to cater for preference against seafood or meat or mushrooms. We loved our meal so much that we are trying to think of something to celebrate as soon as possible to be back. Do note that you are in for an expensive meal and if you opt for the tepanyaki you will be seated at a communal table of up to eight people.

What can I say? But a BIG W.O.W ! Food are crafted to perfection, try the spicy creamy crab, bento box, teriyake chicken, sushi, all the desserts and the view!!! The beautiful resort style crown metropol swimming pool! But…Too pricey, you need to wait to long for your food to be served, small servings, so you need to order more… Definitely will come back, but not too soon… Happy tummy but empty wallet

Being a lover of Japanese food I had been dying to visit Nobu for quite some time and finally had the chance last Saturday night. We had made the reservation around 3 weeks in advance and after hearing rave reviews my expectations were high. Admittedly I have a taste for sophistication and although the staff were attentive and the atmosphere was very sophisticated, I left feeling underwhelmed. Don’t get me wrong, it was nice, but i did expect something a little more luxurious given Nobu’s reputation. For those on a budget or with more than a bite sized appetite, this is definitely not the place for you. Although this was a special occasion and we were wern’t expecting a cheap night out, thinking that we could get away with ordering a few dishes between the 2 of us was definitely a mistake. We ordered the california hand rolls, beef toban-yaki, chicken kushiyaki and prawn butter punzo. The prawn butter punzo and beef toban-yaki were stand outs, but still feeling hungry we also ordered the pork tacos which looked more like they belonged in a doll house than on a dinner plate judging by their size. Unlike the other dishes our desserts were quite big, we ordered the endless passion and the hot chocolate mousse. The hot chocolate mousse was amazing with a beautiful balance of flavours, but the endless passion was a big let-down and being a dessert lover I was disappointed that it was too sweet to finish. The meal came to around $ 160 for the two of us(including a couple of cocktails) which I thought was pretty good. Not that I frequent fancy places too often, but like most ladies, when I do it is tradition to check out the bathroom. I was expecting something extravagant(as far as bathrooms go) from such a renowned restaurant, but they definitely need to pick up their game in this department. I am a firm believer that you can get a pretty good idea about a restaurant from the ladies room, and much like the restaurant it was very underwhelming. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and I would recommend you give it a try for yourself. I would probably go back to try some different things on the menu, but for now I will be sticking to my $ 6 japanese takeaway.

Fantastic food and service. Highly recommend the degustation as it presents the highlights of each menu section in an incredibly artful, delicious, and enjoyable way. My new favourite restaurant in Perth!

Wow wow wow. What a dining experience. If you’re ever considering going to Nobu and unsure, let me tell you. GO! This is one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I can’t speak for the a la carte menu. But as teppanyaki goes this is some of the best food and service I’ve experienced. The staff are friendly, attentive and meet all your needs. Constantly filling glasses of water, offering replacement drinks and will happily make changes to your individual menu. The chef was funny, experienced and very good at what he did. I can’t even remember half the courses we ate. I do remember hear beautiful tiger prawns on miso yogurt with miso dust. I also remember the scollops with tabbouleh salsa– omg yum! And best of all the angus scotch fillet– I can honestly say this was the best steak I’ve ever eaten. It melted in your mouth and the flavours just take over. Dessert was beautifully presented and tasty. We had the chocolate fondant and salted caramel parfait. Stunning really– just too full to fully appreciate. All I can say is you have to go to Nobu. I cannot wait to go back and try more from their menu!

If Nobu were a man. Oh boy I could talk your ear off about how much this place knows how to satisfy that craving for really really impeccably good food! Service was faultless from the get-go, staff were informative, polite and never too far away if you needed service. While Nobu is known for Japanese cuisine it’s fusion with modern flavours and play with textures is something really special. I came here for a special occasion with a group of people, 10 people to be exact! We ordered nearly everything off the menu. From sashimi, gyoza, sushi, king crab, scallops, cauliflower, tuna salad, beef tacos and so much more I forget! The food came out steadily, but we weren’t left waiting too long! The highlight of the dishes I think are the well thought out tastes that the sauces combine with the main protein of the dish. My favourite was the scallops in a rich wasabi sauce that was so intesely beautiful you can;t scrutinise it! Another surprisinging delicious dish was the cauliflower! With a hit of amazing jalapeño sauce it was an unexpected winner at the table for taste. Dessert we ordered nearly everything as well. Personal favourites were the salted caramel parfait, Nobu cheesecake and the chocolate fondant bento box. Silkiness to the nines and a perfect balance of flavours. I did have to be rolled out, along with my now empty wallet. But ladies and gentlemen I would come back here with out even needing my arm twisted!

Nobu, greeted with an amazing welcome by the front of house staff and the chef, who actually managed to say welcome in a different language to every single restaurant goer, was a beautiful touch. We orders 7 courses between us an I can assure you they were enough for a small island, all in prompt time, perfectly decorated and explained(every decoration on the plate) to us. At the start of the night I asked the staff to organise something for my partners birthday, they did it with a bag writing happy birthday on the plate and made her feel very happy. Definitely book and don’t think the weekday booking won’t be taken because it was packed. Loved the experience, staff and the food.

I wanted to spoil my friend last night who is traveling back to Canada so I thought where in Perth can we go that is not only going to be a notable meal but the ultimate Japanese experience? Well derrr. We paid for the privilege but damn baby girl it was worth it! Seated at the Teppanyaki bar we chose the $ 188 per person menu and dear god was it glorious. Eel, Wagu beef, lobster, white fish, caviar, salted caramel ice cream mmmmm Highly recommend for a different and elegant night out in Perth. Virgin cocktails were a highlight as well as the entertaining Teppanyaki chef who mastered throwing eggs high in the air and having them crack on the side of the spatula and onto the hot plate!

Nobu is Nobu. The name sells itself I presume. Treated like royalty the moment you step foot at reception. If you feel like being treated like the most important person on the planet, you got to keep reading… Having been to Nobu three times, twice for my anniversaries & once just random, we were impressed to the max(I’m speaking for both hubby & myself. After all, he loves Nobu & obviously has great taste). Ambience is almost suited for royalty. Lights dimmed, air-conditioning turned to the perfect temperature. Decorations are simple yet classy. The view from Nobu is Crown Metropol’s outdoor pool. This is as romantic as it can get. For both my anniversary celebrations, we had the degustation menu. Every course has its own specialty, fresh flavours & uniqueness. This is something you might not be able to get at a normal Japanese restaurant. The wait staff were all very professional, polite & very informative of all our queries. Never once a dish arrived & we not know what it was. We were made sure what was to be eaten first. I would love to go into detail how some flavours bursts in my mouth but honestly, everyone’s taste buds is different, I can only critic for myself, according to my own taste buds. All I can say is some of the taste is unforgettable. I’m salivating just by typing this review. You got to try it to believe it & yes believe me, its worth every dollar. Yes its my style to review the bathroom too. The bathroom is located almost to the end of the restaurant. Its a single bathroom for the ladies with seats lined up outside. Yes, like you I wondered why there’s only 1!!! Do not fret, there’s more cubicles directly opposite the reception as you walk into Nobu. Hope you’ve enjoyed reading my review as much as I have enjoyed having my romantic meals there. The pictures attached should tell you a bigger picture as well. After all, we do eat with our eyes first… 5 stars for Nobu.

Husband and I came to Nobu for dinner on a Friday night. The place was packed and we struggled to get a booking. Called reservations at Crown for a last minute cancellation, and they had two seats at the teppanyaki grill left. I was advised that this would be a minimum $ 100 spend on food per person, so was prepared for that before we ate. What they didn’t tell us is that they have a set menu/degustation for the teppanyaki grill, so we didn’t have the liberty to choose our own dishes. Perhaps this is only for busy/weekend nights, but it would have been good to choose from the a la carte section as well. Husband went for the premium set menu at $ 180 which had a few more courses than the standard menu($ 120). Being vegetarian, they were in a bit of a flap knowing what to do for me, but after a few conversations between the waiters and chefs, they came up with a special menu to go along with the regular meals. We started with two signature cocktails which were reasonably priced for the venue. Then we chose a bottle of wine from their ample wine list. We were not disappointed with the range and flavour of the dishes and sauces presented. Even the tofu steak was bearable accompanied by a trio of sauces — tofu is not my favourite Japanese food, so this was a pleasant surprise for me! Husband devoured every dish presented to him, although the Wagyu wasn’t quite his cup of tea. I also loved the sweet miso marinated eggplant dish — really delicious. Without a doubt, the two desserts we had were a major highlight of the night — I had a miso cappuccino with miso and milk chocolate crème, coffee chocolate crumble, vanilla ice cream and a coffee foam. Husband had an amazing salted caramel miso parfait with caramelised popcorn and white chocolate foam. The service was impeccable, as you would expect from a Japanese restaurant. I can’t wait to go back and try the other delicacies another time. Word of warning: they charge a credit card processing fee, so be mindful of that when you pay.
