Another Cabramatta institution! This crispy chiken noodle place is always busy at lunch and there is one simple reason. The fried chicken is absolutely perfect — crispy, fresh and still moist. As for everything else, it’s pretty average. The soup and noodle are very basic and the servings are quite small for the price. $ 14 for a bowl of noodles with crispy chicken. Like I said, there is only one reason to come here — perfectly cooked crispy chicken.

Very busy during the day expect a small queue, almost everyone that goes here get the crispy chicken with either rice or noodle it is their signature dish, also parking will be a bit of a pain around Cabramatta so if you really want to try this place there’s another branch in Canley Heights which is less busy during the day but more busy at night

First time I ever visited Cabramatta, I was taken here. It’s seriously your typical no frills Asian restaurant, so don’t expect any fancy service and the cleanliness just passes the standards. However, the crispy chicken is quite tasty — it’s what they’re famous for after all.

After reading all the reviews about this place — it was a MUSTVISIT on my first time to Cabramatta! After eating at this very busy restaurant — it won’t be my last visit either. The signature dish is the crispy chicken served with wet or dry egg noodles.($ 13) I have to agree that the crispy skin chicken is the best I have ever tasted. Perfectly cooked crisp, thin chicken skin not coated in oil with perfectly cooked soft and tender chicken meat. Add lemon juice and you are in culinary heaven. It comes with a serving of bean sprouts and Vietnamese dipping sauce. I want to try it again next time — but with the tomato rice accompaniment.

The dishes are delicious. The service is good. I have been to this place a lot of times and it just feels like the customer needs to come and try to this area

Finding a parking space nearby this place was impossible! We had to park far, far away and walked to this restaurant. It better be worth it! As I entered this place almost everyone ordered crispy chicken with either rice or noodles. In addition, my niece told me that this place has the best crispy chicken so I got to give this place a try. I ordered crispy chicken with tomato rice and it didn’t take long before my food came out along with a side soup and fish sauce. Food was delicious. Chicken was crispy and was not greasy. Rice was just perfect. I was a bit disappointed as I was going through their utensils on the table and found some dirty ones. I would come back for their crispy chicken with tomato rice.

Food — Went here during lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Had the egg noodle soup with crispy chicken, as this seems to be their specialty. Very clear broth, not enough noodles, nothing spectacular. Food was brought out fairly quickly. They give you a good amount of soup and noodles, and loads of crispy chicken. However, the chicken is on the salty side, but otherwise crispy and moist. My wife had the tomato rice with crispy chicken. She commented that the rice was too moist. I tried it and preferred my dish more. They give you pickled cabbage instead of fresh tomatoes and lettuce as I’ve had at other places. Setting — I had never been here before, but the décor is very modern and clean. The utensils and sauces are all provided at your table. However, not everything is labeled so you’ll have to sample a bit to find what you’re looking for. Complaint — The table we were sat was still a bit dirty, w/bits of food on the seats, which I cleaned off. I also noticed the table next to ours, while it had been cleaned, had a large amount of dirty napkins on the floor that were missed. So if you’re a clean freak, this place probably isn’t for you. Summary — above average egg noodle soup w chicken, comfortable setting, though, they do need to work on better clearing of the tables and floors. I see myself coming back here again.

was recommended to try this this place before heading back down south… the crispy chicken egg noodles and the spicy beef soup with bread were the mandatory! I have to say I really loved the crispy skin chicken. Skin was thin and crisp without any oil dripping. Yet the chicken meat remained soft and tender! awesome! the spicy beef … hmmmm it’s better at Hoa Tran in melbourne.

Like other reviewers, I’ll have to recommend the crispy chicken, it’s delicious. I also had a bbq pork noodle soup, which was exactly what I wanted and was equally good. I think for more authentic Vietnamese food you’d have to go to Vietnam. But I wouldn’t expect anything less in Cabramatta, of course. Beware of the line ups, especially during lunch.

I came here based on a recommendation from my cousin that lives in Sydney, she recommended the crispy chicken noodle soup. I’m not from here but that’s what they are known for. This is the best noodle restaurant in Sydney..

Best darn crispy chicken! Get it with either the dry egg noodle or the soup version. Either way it’s enjoyable! Quick service. There’s always a line here that’s how popular it is. Come in when it opens at 9 and you’ll definitely secure a table tho(that and your chance of finding parking at cabra are better!)

A local food blogger took me here on a tour of Cabramatta and the food did not disappoint. I got the crispy skin chicken with rice noodles(hu tieu or shahefen) in soup, while she had the chicken with chewy Cambodian noodles without soup. I can see why the line goes out the door for the chicken. Most of the fat has melted out of the skin, leaving a delicate crispy skin that separates from the meat. I generally don’t eat chicken because it has a tendency to dry out, but this was incredibly juicy and tender. For $ 12, you get a huge portion of chicken, noodles, and bean sprouts. What’s not to like?

Have you heard of the 5:2 diet?, where you eat your head off for five days a week and fast for two days a week. I am pioneering a new diet called the 10:1 diet. Every day at ten to one you go and eat a bowl of crispy skin chicken with egg noodles at Tan Viet Noodle House. 7 days a week. I dont know if you will lose weight or get healthier but you will be very happy and it will only cost $ 4,380 per annum. The best crispy skin chicken in the world.

Definitely the best crispy chicken in Sydney. The wait for a table isn’t as long now they’ve opened another restaurant in Canley Heights.

Don’t go to Cabramatta often, but when I do, i try to come to this Noodle House for the crispy chicken! My cousin had been raving about the chicken here for ages and finally took me on a Sunday afternoon. First of all, it is SUPER busy on Sundays. Finding a car pack is already a challenge, and once you find a spot, then you have to que up. Sometimes the line goes out the door into the street. When we went, we waited almost 45 minutes, but it was worth the wait! As we walked it, I looked around and almost EVERY single plate on the table had the crispy chicken. We sat down and ordered right away. I got the crispy chicken noodle soup and it was just AMAZING. The skin is so crispy and the chicken is so tasty. The next time we came, we got take away and I ordered the chicken with the tomato rice. It was sensational. It came with some yummy picked spicy cabbage and carrot. Both are nice, can’t say I like one more than the other. If you’re hungry, be prepared to wait. The takeaway is almost just as good but obviously its better to eat it when its super fresh.

Tan Viet! Oh how I love your crispy chicken. Hands down the best crispy chicken in Sydney. They serve piping hot noodles(dry or wet) with a delicious chicken broth(real chicken broth not the MSG-tainted variety) and a generous serving of the most delicious deep fried crispy chicken. The chicken is perfectly moist and the skin is deliciously crunchy. This is their specialty and I’m ashamed to say the only thing I’ve ever eaten on their menu, I can’t go past this everytime I come here because it is that good! The crowd is very local and always packed with Vietnamese. You know a place is good when it’s mostly a local crowd. I recall once having lunch here during the week and there was Mikey Robins(From Good News Week) eating here. No one else in the restaurant seemed to even know who he was or seem to care, they were too busy consuming the delicious crispy chicken noodles!
