Come hear for great advice on flower arranging and general gardening enquiries. The sales staff can tell you where each flower comes from, when it is in season and how to store it. Note: it is not just about adding water, bleach or a crappy sachet of powder that any mundane florist will give you.

As the name would suggest, Arts Stems is a really refined, colourful florist that knows that the art of the profession is all in the details. Walking into the shop is like walking into a fragrant colour wheel. The displays are all low key but intricate, and really allow the flowers speaking for themselves. Whenever I walk past this shop, it makes me yearn for a greener thumb and more outdoorsy personality so that I, too, could facilitate such beauty.
The staff are friendly and attentive, and clearly knowledgeable about flora. Prices are reflective of the quality, so it’s not simply for the befuddled boyfriend looking for a quick fix to an awkward argument, but for people who really want something beautiful.

Facing stiff competition from a 24 hour florist across the road Art Stems on Lygon is a boutique store appealling to the slightly more discerning plant lover.
The staff are knowledgeable and willing to provide advice even if you aren’t buying and helped me track down a few good indoor plants.
While the 24 hour store does more generic bunches of flowers art stems does exactly what it says on the tin by designing more arty pieces including climbers and native flowers.
HIghly recommended to get you out of trouble with your partner!
