Right, so, finding I was running quite early to an exam and feeling hungry, I decided to find a place to have breakfast. And what a find it was. In a bright and ‘open’ environment, this establishment is great for that quick breakfast or just a nice slow start to your weekend. The staff are very pleasant and eager to help, but certainly not hovering not clingy. The coffee was hot, the food delicious and simply and presented ‘cleanly’, I would certainly come here again. Thanks for a great experience.

Kinch Fine Foods is a café/restaurant on Hawthorn Rd in Caulfield North that just doesn’t seem to create the feel they strive to create. They want it to be healthy with good vegetarian options where I’m not sure if this really comes off. One big mistake is that the setting is very stale and has no life where it actually feels like you should be at a café in a shopping centre. The next big mistake is that it looks like a bit like a «help yourself diner» rather than a fine food café, which is what they class themselves as. Third big mistake is that the waiters look like they should be working at a classy restaurant and talk formally rather than just being casual and approachable. It is all a bit too tacky for my liking where the food was no «finer» than anything I’d had before. With very high quality competition directly across the road, it’s hard to be a continual customer at Kinch Fine Foods.
