Have been here about 4 times now, and service and meals have been a mixed bag. Have had poor experiences where order bacon and toast and then toast came out 10 min before the bacon. To other times with the mixed breakfast platter has been great. Coffee isn’t great, but overall I’d say the experience above average but wouldn’t say it’s amazing. Lovely feel and great location keeps us coming back, although it’s a shame the consistency wasn’t better.

Hopefully my group can get a table here tomorrow at 11am… I have been calling the ph no listed on Unilocal almost every day for 2 weeks and no answer! Let’s hope the service is better than their communication!!!

We wandered up here for our Saturday morning brunch. Coffee is super hot and they know how to make a good flat white. The Super green smoothie was yummo. We both ordered the open omelette and that was lucky or there may have been a fight. Mexican style fresh avocado, corn, bacon with a toasted pita — delish. Service had big happy smiles and were very attentive even though it was packed. Nice work two: bob ya little cutie

Poorly organised. Smoothie slopped on table when served and took several minutes to wipe it up. One of their standard menu lunch items(a burger – ordered at midday), had already run out! For efficient service and tasty food, try the Rubber Duck Café over the road.

Great service. Delicious food. Beautiful building. Two: bob’s got it going on. Came in after an appointment nearby and devoured a more then generous serving of bacon and eggs with Avo. While my friend got the best ricotta hotcakes I’ve tried in a long time. I’m so happy she was in the sharing mood! Some meals came with a half or full serve option which was nice and now I know for next time half will probably be more then enough. The furniture is very sleek and clean feeling… Ikeaish?! But comfortable enough, if only the tables were slightly bigger to accommodate their great portions! Service was quick and friendly. And the treats they have at the counter are close to irresistible! I’ll probably be back every time I’m in the area just to get some more ricotta hotcakes in my belly!

Still awesome. Had the avocado smash with an added poached egg. Delicious! One of the better smashed avos going around!

Lovely place, friendly and attentive service, tasty food, but ridiculously noisy. The noise from dishwashing is unrelenting, and completely overrides the calm layout and furnishings. One great thing about two: bob is that they offer«half» serves of some of their meals, which is one reason to visit. Not everyone wants a massive meal at every meal, and the more places that offer this, the better. I just wish they could get the dishwashing guy to stop banging the pots and plates.

Two: bob is a beautiful space, the building used to be the National Bank of Australasia c1886, check out the original safe which is now the cool room. Service is fast and the food and coffee are consistently good. There are menu options to suit almost every dietary requirement, trendy or otherwise. I drop in here on my way to the airport to do the weekend run of visitor drop-off/pick-up. It’s a great place to demonstrate the fine art of brunching in ‘Melbun’. One bugbears, they don’t split bills on weekends.

Ah two: bob, how happy I am to have you in the local area. Stepping inside for the first time I was instantly impressed with the clean and modern Scandinavian design. Opening the menu was another tick, and when the food came I knew it was a 5 out of 5. Two: bob serves up a delish selection of breakfast and lunch, with a constantly rotating specials board, and they didn’t let down in the coffee department either.

Just what Queens Parade needs, another Café… Yet Two Bob has excelled where others have failed. The staff are warm & welcoming, the interior is light filled and clean with contemporary Scandinavian furnishings and most importantly the food and coffee are very good. My only issue is the toast…

I found it, the missing treasure! They all told me it was an urban legend, some elusive myth dealt by a flippant dreamer in search of a perfect breakfast spot. Yes it’s on Queens parade, a little further journey than your usual Northern suspects. Let that not be reason enough to miss this pure gem. Shall I start with the coffee? I believe I shall! Skinny latte, boom. Supreme coffee beans, roasted and extracted to perfection. The milk was deliciously creamy, which either means they forgot the ‘skinny’ part of the order or they found skim milk that doesn’t taste like crap. Either way it’s luxury on a stick, minus the stick. The service? Wonderful. Impeccable. Friendly and refreshingly absent of that ‘too-coolness’ that so often accompanies an eatery as good as this. Not only that but the waitress kindly encouraged me to order the crumbed poached eggs, which were no less than magnificent. It’s honestly the best breakfast I’ve had since forever. And them’s fightin’ words. I live on the very other side of town and still I will gladly and most hurriedly make the trek back to this wonderful establishment.

Old world building with a clean modern look. Coffee is okay. General clientele are a 40+ demographic. Food is quite good and the staff are genuinely cheerful.

A new and great addition to Clifton Hill or Fitzroy North(?), Two: bob is a café with a Scandinavian-inspired design. From various shades of greys and creams, Two: bob is a clean and simple establishment that serves a great brunch. I do love the simple and modern design of the establishment, particularly the copper lighting fixture that hang in the stage area that give just enough colour. Our group sat at the ‘stage’ area that had a window overlooking into the main room. With a limited brunch and lunch menu, they do offer some interesting dishes. We ordered the baked beans and ham hock cassoulet($ 18), the steak sandwich($ 17.50 + $ 7 with chips), and the big breakfast($ 18). The cassoulet was delicious; however, the big breakfast was average. You can get a bigger breakfast elsewhere for the same price, but I really liked the sausages with the big breakfast. The service was prompt and friendly. The coffees were great — hot and creamy. If I had a brunch list, Two: bob would have checked off everything on it.

I cannot confidently say where this place got it’s name. It is certainly not referring to the menu prices which at $ 16-$ 20 are is not a couple of ‘bob’. It is also also not referring to the cockney rhyming slang meaning something is shit. Because this place is not shit at all. The coffee at Two: bob was fantastic. They certainly don’t serve up a strong blend here, with a double shot tasting more like a single. But it is creamy, delicate and delicious. The service was a little bit on the awkward side. Being asked if we wanted to order about four times from four different waiters — all when we had already placed said order. But I put this down to growing pains more than anything, as Two: bob has only been open a few weeks. Give it a month and I reckon all the staff will be fantastic and know exactly what they are doing. I can only assume that the Two: bob refers to the decorators that decked this place out. Don’t get me wrong — Two: bob is housed in a beautiful old Victorian building with a clean, crisp interior — which is not usual to Melbourne cafes but certainly not in a bad way. This place is light and clean and an all round interesting, inviting space. No it is merely the fact that the finishing touches on the decoration are a little messy with paint smeared in light fittings etc. But hey, I certainly don’t give a damn about this — I go to a place to soak in the vibe and eat and drink good fare. Two: bob certainly gets my seal of approval.

Clifton Hill’s newest arrival, Two: bob, is a sparsely decorated café on the corner of Queens Parade. Almost like an Ikea showroom brought to living, barista-ing life, Two: bob’s interiors are a whiter shade of pale complete with ashen hued ceramics, big dreamy bouquets of — you guessed it — white flowers and pale blue glassware. In fact it’s all so modern, clean and new feeling — and there’s such a dearth of artful grunge — that Two: bob almost doesn’t feel like a Melbourne café at all. More like one of Elton John’s Scandinavian themed drawing rooms or a very zen television studio. I popped in for a coffee this morning and found Two: bob’s service sweet — if a little overzealous — and its coffee great. The extreme newness of Two: bob does throw you a bit at first and I have the feeling that this place will really settle into itself once it fills up and wears in a bit. Regardless, Two: bob is a sophisticated, pretty, and very promising addition to the Clifton Hill café landscape.
