and experience have crafted the ultimate bar and function experience.

On the top level of Maeve Fox discover an adaptable and unique private function area with unobstructed views of the city skyline. Downstairs discover our hidden booths in our main bar area complete with an outdoor balcony.

While the footy will always be on the TV, this bar is definitely not just for the boys. Friday after work drinks, cocktails drinkers, beer drinkers, hens and bucks parties, and everyone in between.

I organised a cocktail class for my girlfriends hens party at Maeve Fox and was really blown away by the quality of the event.
Our group had such an amazing time. We got to jump in the bar and learn to make yummy cocktails. The gentleman that ran the course was very passionate about bartending and incredibly knowledgable — but didn’t take himself too serious and still able to have a laugh with the group!
The food included in the course was yummy but I would recommend you order a few additional platters if your friends like to drink as much as mine!
If you are looking for something different for a hens party or even a work function. Maeve Fox is well worth looking in to.

Been here for a few birthday functions over the years, and always dig it. Walks the line nicely between feeling classy and laid-​back. Can get a little hard to manœuvre around the bar area when it’s busy, but once you’ve got a drink in hand it’s a great little spot to spend a night with a small group. Looks like they’ve got plenty of cool specials on Sundays and weekdays, so will have to make sure pop back in soon to sample.

Unfortunately for me, a few more people are starting to find out about Maeve Fox. This seems to be quite a popular Friday night hang out for the workers around the Cremorne and Richmond area. Not a surprise when the offer a locals discount (prove you live nearby with your licence) plus the ability to get some tasty snacks, a drink and watch the commuters at East Richmond walk past.
Over the summer holidays, Maeve Fox has also had a bit of a makeover, meaning the one ordinary bathrooms are no longer so ordinary. Nice one.

I feel really sorry for this place. If I were the owner, I would be infinitely perplexed by this bar’s failure to blitz the market. Perhaps it is its close proximity to the Great Britain and Der Raum, kind of caught in between with a lot less to offer. That aside, I really like this place.
My partner decided to have her birthday drinks here in July, and they were really hospitable and gave us free drink cards and made sure there was an area reserved for us. I thought the fireplace was a really beautiful touch on such a cold winter’s night.
The best part about this place is the huge windows that open out to a really unique view. It beautifies the ugly as the sun sets over the railway tracks and the city skyline peaks in from behind the foreground.
If you’re looking for somewhere a bit quieter, or a venue for a relaxed function, I think this the perfect place.
