amazing breakfast and amazing coffee. i love that they bake their own breads and muffins (and other things) everyday. would love to come back here again but i never have time during the day as i live far and they’re only open for breakfast and lunch.

I had high expectations for my last breakfast in Sydney and this place exceeded my expectations. It has excellent reviews on UrbanSpoon but none on Unilocal so I have the pleasure of being the first.
The coffee here is excellent — arguably the best latte I had in Australia so definitely start your meal with that. I’d also recommend ordering anything with the smoked salmon. It’s delicious and not overly fishy. I had it on my eggs benedict with kale and loved it. My boyfriend ordered the paleo option for breakfast (I love how Paleo-​aware and gluten free so many of the options are) and he enjoyed it tremendously. They were also quick to substitute fruit at no additional charge.
The service is good enough but I wouldn’t describe the waitstaff as particularly attentive. It also seems like they share the workload across tables so you’re never really sure who your waiter or waitress is. It’s not a dedicated person like we have in the U.S.
It’s right near the beach so you can enjoy the sound of the waves and watching surfers as you eat breakfast. What more could you want?

If you want pancakes with an ocean view this is the place.
