Stopped in for a beer. Very casual, order and pay at the counter and you carry your own drinks and food. Not to noisy on a holiday afternoon. Steady flow of young people off the beach. Recommend for a quick beverage and potato wedges.

This is the WORST hotel in Cronulla and would not recommend it to anyone. Myself wife son and brother inlaw stopped by to have a drink with my daughter and my niece.
I was pulled aside and told by the security guard I could not come in due to I had to much to drink. I had one drink that day and he was telling me I had at least 30 beers and would not let me in. The security guards at this place are unprofessional and need to go to some type of training on how to recognize when people are intoxicated and how talk to people.
We ended up going up to a much nicer bar The Sting and had the best time. I would recommend The Sting and other hotels other than Northies its a dump.

Everyone knows this place in the shire.
During the day or weekend its a place where you can come and enjoy drink or two and grab some pub lunch too. Lots of space inside or outside to enjoy the sun.
Friday or Saturday night that’s a different story. DJ will play some music– sometimes good sometimes boring and if the music is good plenty of people will dance on the dance floor. The crowd is usually very young on those nights.
The place is a good spot for drinks after the beach too.

Everybody knows this pub who lives in the Shire. You havent made it until youve been thrown out of here at least once.
Regardless of where youve been before hand, its a long walk to the door wondering if the big bouncers are going to let you in and when they do and you get down the many steps. (sigh) the relief.
They have a sports bar and the older crowd gravitate towards it on the weekends to listen to a good or bad musician. More often than not its a bad one.
The main bar is full of the young thangs and club music.
Sometimes the food is good and sometimes its not. It is expensive though for pub food.
The one consistency of Northies is that the bar staff are too slow. All of the bars, all of the staff have no urgency to serve the customers.
I dont think it has a great reputation but its in a perfect spot.
