Armed with a cracked ipad and a sad face, I turned to Unilocal.Again to my rescue, this time in the form of Benjamin N, A1 was exactly what I needed: straightforward nerds who will fix things and minimal interest in up selling.
I called A1 and the man was as straight as it comes.
$ 100 is quoted, After being quoted up to $ 200 elsewhere I am happy that I got a straightforward and reasonable quote.

These guys are super friendly and willing to actually help you fix your problems not just sell you boxed product.
I took in my old hard drive that had stopped working and they were nice enough to run some diagnostics on the drive to test it and make sure it was still fully functional before i spent the $ 35 on a new enclosure (absolute bargain btw). This took about 25 minutes of their time so was a pretty good effort.
They also repair broken iPhones, androids, iPads, laptops and desktops.
Champs!
