Now, I’m by no means a professional photographer(as my images on Unilocal attest) but the selection in this store was quite underwhelming. Bare basics were available and friendly staff offered to order in specifics that I wanted but what’s the point? I can go online and get what I want for less, shipped directly to me. Only edge they had was that they could sell it to me now and I could start using it right away, and with that gone, I cannot fathom why would anyone go to a brick and mortar store. Maybe it’s just because I’m part of Internet generation and I cannot understand silly concept of speciality shops. If you are buying your first DSLR, give them a visit. Otherwise, I can’t see you going to this place.

You could hardly have a tourist city such as Fremantle without an adequate camera shop. Valentine’s Camera House fits the bill perfectly and is appropriately adequate, yet nothing that would send Annie Liebowitz into a spin. It’s small and stocks the basics, but the service is what sets the camera shop apart. Like most Fremantle retailers, the staff are very approachable and really know their stuff. I was after advice about shooting at night time without a flash, and Duncan new exactly what to suggest that was within my budget. He didn’t try to up sell me anything, just gave me sound, professional advice. Very pleased with the joint!
