Still by far best outdoor pool in Melbourne, friendly pool side staff, clean facilities and pool a balmy 26c the chilly days have a lovely mist coming off the top that’s ever so inviting not too crowded if early and so invigorating a must daily routine! Would be 5 stars if opened an hour earlier each day!

In the vain hope I’ll become more active with the weather warming up, I’ve joined HALC close to day job.
It features a huge outdoor pool, group classes, fitness area, cardio machines and weights area. Decent parking around the centre with the Coles carpark — it’s free before 8am and after 6pm.
The clientele is eclectic — it ranges from Swinburne Uni students to corporates.
I’ve tried a couple of the group classes and they’re not too overcrowded yet.
This place is probably a little more expensive than your typical council-​run gym but the facilities are decent and staff friendly.
Recommend you bring your own hairdryer thogh, they don’t really accommodate the morning exercise person that well.
