Pretty, interesting and tasty food matched with some really great cocktail options and super-friendly staff. The Mill on Morrison has a slightly«hotel restaurant» sort of vibe that is just a little too brightly lit, but is essentially a nice, smart casual restaurant serving some pretty impressive food. Highlights for us were the stunning seared tuna, cauliflower croquettes and the«I want to eat it until I die» banana split sundae for dessert.

Great food, don’t worry about the presentation — the food is delish! and a great local wine list with non-local options

A tapas-focused menu for(lunch but mostly) dinner, six days a week. The restaurant is laid out in a fairly traditional style, chairs and tables and bright lighting, and I suppose there was just enough room at our table for our three-at-a-time ordering style. The menu can be a bit overwhelming, but that’s why the option of letting the restaurant choose your courses for you would be a welcome for many! Choose between $ 35pp(for a light lunch or snacks while drinking), $ 45pp(a safe bet) or $ 65pp(get lavish!) and let the plates get delivered as they’re made while you do your best to choose from the equally overwhelming drinks menu. Cocktails, wine, spirits, beer or cider – again, it can be tough to choose. We chose to DIY our menu choices for the evening and went with the game plan of a few«waves», three plates at a time(so each of us could choose one). I was a little frustrated by the waitstaff focusing their attention on the tables and not the faces of the guests, particularly when we were trying to signal for them with our pleading eyes. None of the staff prowling the floor on a Friday night seemed to have much of a sense of humour, either, and we did feel a little judged for ordering more than a couple of rounds of food. Most of the menu items we tried were tasty, though none were really talk-about-it-for-days-later memorable. Sorry, I take that back, one was memorable but for the wrong reasons. It was delicious, but when we ordered«house made corn chips» we didn’t expect to have to split just two lonely corn chips between the three of us. I’m not good with poker faces at the best of times. I got the giggles.

The Mill offers a great environment to meet up with friends and enjoy good food and a variety of cocktails. The food is delicious and the wine and cocktails offered are a great compliment to the cuisine. The staff is helpful when your party is indecisive. The menu includes stand alone dishes and a variety of tapas dishes. Service was quick and courteous.
