Freshie is a little sushi and juice bar in the Great Western Super Centre, located near the Woolworths. After the battle that is the weekly grocery war, my wife and I exited with a trolley load of food and a stomach void of fuel. What we wanted was something quick and simple, healthy and fresh. We saw that the café nearby had some tables free, but we weren’t going to wait around for meals to be made. We wanted out of that place ASAP. That’s when we saw the bright green, white and lavender façade of another store and made our way over. We saw a nice little couple of Japanese people behind the counter waving us in with smiles about. We abided. They told us they had a special of two fresh juices and four sushi rolls. Without consultation my wife made the decision to go for it. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I have a unfavourable relationship with sushi in general but in the case of Freshie’s I’ll yield again for the chicken teriyaki roll. More than likely I’ll be going back to for another banana and strawberry smoothie. It was rocking.
