Honestly have to say it was a let down. I love Mexican. Went here for lunch– The nachos I ordered I couldn’t eat. Can’t understand the ratings which was my basis for trying this place. Hopefully it was a bad day and not the norm

I love zambreros. I have been to Mexico and lived in the states and I can safely say zambreros tastes like authentic mexican cuisine. The ingredients are fresh and supplied by local fruit and veg stores and the sauces are delicious and real like salsa verde and chipotle etc. I love that they have introduced the chikito size burrito! Perfect size to fit in your pocket. They also have a plate4plate initiative with each burrito or bowl purchased they buy one for someone in the developing world through stop hunger now

Sure this is as Tex Mex as you can get, but I still hanker after one of their burritos every fortnight and usually fulfill that hankering! I like to think the burritos are a somewhat healthy takeaway option, I always feel full and satisfied, but not sick after eating one. Sit out on the alfresco area by the street and people watch. I often take Boris the dog as he loves the café strip… and burritos.

I always tell myself to get a chik-ito so I dont over eat but when it get’s to my turn to order, somehow«lamb burrito please» is what I always say. I love that it’s a fast and simple meal. No long ques, or waiting for your food for ages. And you know they’re not gonna make you the wrong meal cause you’re standing right there as they make it. As some people have described it, it’s the mexican version of subway. It’s quick, tasty and cheap :) I’ve only tried the burrito and nachos and they’ve always been amazing. I’ll grab a taco next tiem I stop by.

easily addressed as some of the better –simple –easy –cheapish-’ fast food’ Mexican you can get in Perth with some fresh taco options and burritos. I don’t know how i lasted 27 years without a burrito but last week Zambrero was my first one(i can only put it down to naively thinking the drunken kebab i ordered some other time maybe too similar visually so i always get tacos assuming i felt like i had a burrito recently) i usually order the Dos Capos– hard and soft taco in one after my partner got me onto it. pretty tasty really and now i don’t have to choose.hard.or soft. chicken is my preference over the beef because i believe it is tasty. i have not experieced dryness of meats at this location however i sure it would be hard to maintain during a non busy period so im sure others have. i have recenty(as stated above) converted to a burrito option, which i also enjoy alot. i will return and now i will order burritos, thankyou… Zambreos.

Stopped in here for dinner last night. It’s great to have a new spot to dine in the area. There are lots of options but not so many that you get stuck on what to pick. A great tasting well priced(& sized) meal no matter what your appetite. Looking forward to heading back!

Great place for lunch or dinner and made all so quickly! The staff are friendly and the food is delicious! All for under $ 10(if you go for the standard burrito with no guacamole!)

Zambrero’s is easy, simple and great value! You choose exactly what is put in your burrito or taco from meat to salsa and sauce. It is a franchise so expect to see them popping up in all of your favourite suburbs. They have a vey clever marketing campaign called Plate4Plate whereby they provide one free plate fo food in the developing world for every meal that they serve in store. It is also BYO and they have free Wifi. Bonus! Plus, did I mention that the burritos are HUGE!

Zambrero is hands down the best Mexican takeaway in Perth. After traveling to the U.S.A and getting a taste of real authentic Mexican food, I’ve always been extremely disappointed with Perth’s dismal and often tasteless excuses for Mexican food. Zambrero is different! I’m not a chef by any means and I don’t pretend to know the details of what makes Zambrero so much more tastey than the other Mexican restaurants I’ve been too but rest assured it is amazing. What is also so great about it is that it’s more of a burrito bar than a restaurant. Which means you can just casually go in and get a $ 10 burrito(which is massive) or a $ 5 taco and completely customise it. Can’t talk this place up enough to my friends.

I was about to write that Zambrero’s is like a Mexican Subway but from the other reviews I see that’s been covered dammit. Anyway its basically a choose your own adventure Mexican take out joint where you can select your style(burrito, taco etc), meat, and custom fill the toppings and sauces. The burritos are filthy good and more than a hearty meal and for under ten bucks there’s definitely no issue with the price tag. I could be a douche and complain about there being no quesadilla or my personal mexi fave queso, but the shit they have absolutely rocks.

I have noticed more and more Mexican places around the place. They are all going for this low key feel. Zambrero like Mad Mex in Hillarys is like a Mexican style subway. I love Mexican food so I am pretty happy with this new Mexican fad. Salsas in the city is another of these little shops, that one is more of a sit down meal. Zambrero has some delicious filling options and what I have had from there has been delicious. I think it is a really nice addition to Leederville and a much better choice than Subway.

Zambrero is a novel idea, and to set up shop just a few doors down from Subway is an even better idea. Sometimes a roll with fillings you would find in your own fridge just doesn’t cut it, so Zambrero’s is the perfect option if you’re looking for a deli style meal but you want something a bit more exciting than ham and cheese! One thing I am always wary about in Mexican food is that coriander leaves seem to creep their way in to every dish and ruin it with their over-powering horrendous rubbery taste. I’m pretty sure I’m slightly allergic to coriander leaf as I feel sick and headachy for the rest of the day if I do ingest it, so if you’re like me then you need to keep track of these little green demons. They can be known to sneak into a Zambrero burrito if you don’t keep your wits about you. Whatever you do don’t add the coriander salsa(an obvious one) or the verde sauce(a not so obvious one). If you stick to these simple rules you’ll be having a fiesta in your mouth in no time!

Zambrero already has a shop in Mt Lawley but they’ve decided to spread their Mexican joy even more by setting up camp in Leederville also. The best way to describe Zambrero is by saying it is the«Mexican Subway». You choose either a Burrito or Taco to begin with, then you choose your chicken, lamb, beef or veggie filling, you then pick your salsa, add guacamole if you like, and your sauce. Then you are done, finito. Easy. There are many similar versions of this in the U. S but it is rare to find a Mexican take away restaurant in Australia so I am very happy to have this option opened to us, I only hope that more Zambrero’s crop up around the place(fingers crossed for North of the river!) Zambrero also have a «plate 4 plate» scheme running, so that if you buy a plate of food there, they will provide a plate of food to someone in the developing world. So as you’re eating you know that you are feeding someone who desperately needs a meal. It is concepts like this that will keep me returning to places such as this, as well as the delicious food!
