Ample seating space, bubbly staff, all your favourite brunch options and great coffee. Milkd you’re not too bad at all! So far have only made it there for coffee(which was great by the way; $ 4 for large quality skinny latte!) but am very keen to head back to try their breakfast. It may not be as physically attractive as the other fancy coffee spots on eighth ave but the coffee is definitely on point!

I really love Milkd. The girls that work there are really bubbly and nice every time I go. There is also seating inside and out. I’ve only every been on weekends and have always been able to find somewhere to sit. Usually I get a coffee and a toasted sandwich which are both cheap and delicious! I’ll probably be back there this weekend I love it so much :)

Really great coffee and espresso in Maylands. Gets a bit busy in the mornings and you can expect to wait for a bit for your morning coffee on the go. Excellent place to stay and have a cup as there is free wifi and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Haven’t eaten breakfast there but it has a nice menu of the basics with some pastries(muffins and breads) ready to go.

Milkd by name Milkd by nature. Phoned ahead to get a coffee whilst on an airport run. Wife runs it in to get my coffee. The short extra shot flat white I order has been interpreted as a coffee flavoured dairy extravaganza. I utter some cuss words as I now try and find a park to sort this out. Turns out the only have two sizes of take away – regular and large, which I would personally describe as enormous and gargantuan. ‘Sooooooo you want us to make another one for you?’. The disdain at my imposition was palpable. This place would clearly be awesome without customers. ‘What the fcuk do you think I’m standing here for?’(This was my internal monologue, not actually verbalised). ‘Admiring your 40 year old furniture, tattoos, fixed gear bike and listening to The Cure?‘ Reminded me of Perth circa 2006. Just kidding, it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as that!

Truly awful, well after I’d finished the luke-wam to cold coffee I received the wrap, which 15 mins after I’d left the place upset my stomach. Methinks they need to follow the temperature ranges required by food handlers. Never again, with so many excellent places on Whatley Cres they need to lift their game.

I’ve never understood the appeal of this place. It always looks grotty from the outside as if it’s only cleaned once a week so I’ve never tried it. I just passed it today & it still looks seedy. I guess the food/drinks must be superb. /shrug

Enjoyed a nice coffee but there were too many inconsiderate cyclists in the café — bikes blocking the door way, spread all over the pavement.

A very milky latte later and I am hesitant about giving it more then three stars. With the old bakery on eighth across the road closed it looks like Milkd have picked up the extra business because this place was bursting at the seams There is defiantly a grunge sort of theme to this café from the décor throughout the interior to the tattooed staff. There is some seating out the front and quite a few tables squeezed inside and a couple of couches in the corner for those wanting a coffee and read of the paper. Having observed the delicate balancing act that was finding space on the small tables for two meals and coffees I’d prefer to fly solo if I were to grab a bite to eat here. Plus it does look like you are sitting on your neighbours lap the tables are so close and with the high noise level I’d be surprised if you could hear what the other person is saying anyway but that could be why the tables are small. The menu is limited and whilst there are some breaky items it does not seem to be a café for a full breakfast more so a light breaky. I do agree with most other reviews that the coffee is fantastic and I’d go a takeaway coffee again

Based on coffee alone it’s 5 stars. This is the best coffee in terms of consistency, flavour and the right temperature. My least favourite thing is luke warm coffee and Milk Maylands get it just right every time. Go there, try the coffee.

Milk’d Maylands undoubtedly has some of the best coffee around. It’s always strong, never burnt and perfectly creamy. Staying in or taking away, Milk’d is a must for your morning coffee fix. Their menu is quite broad with a nice range of options — my only complaint is that they don’t do many gluten free items — I think the only thing on the menu that’s GF is a the potato rostis. Having said that, the rosti’s are FREAKINDELICIOUS and the staff are happy to help with requests — I tried to order the rosti’s once when they were out and my lovely waitress suggested having it with two large field mushrooms instead. Perfection! The ambience is nice although when busy, it can be tough to find a table. There’s a nice set of leather couches in the back corner for groups and limited outdoor seating on the street. If you’re in a hurry they also have a scrumptious selection of snacks to take with your coffee. Prices are average for Perth.

I am writing this review from Milkd, whilst some delicious smells are wafting from the kitchen and i’m drinking their delicious coffee and using their free wifi… so granted, I am a little biased. But I love having this little gem of a place down the road. The staff are friendly and the coffee is fantastic. With the stiff competition springing up around this area, Milkd are consistently busy, which is a great sign. If there is a wait for your coffee(which there is most of the time) they give you an eta… which is worth it’s wait in gold. And my tip, try the Milkd Melt. It’s on the pricey side of the toasted-sandwich-spectrum, but totally worth it. Trust me.

If you’re a coffee snob then MilkD should be your first choice of cafés. Not only is the coffee fantastic, the staff and atmosphere is also great. Surprised to hear someone say they thought the place pretentious as I get the opposite feeling. In less than a week the staff knew my order and my name — and I knew theirs. Makes me a happy little mungbean to be a Maylands local and have MilkD at my doorstep!

This has to be one of my favourite coffee shops, not just because it is really cool inside, not just because the service is fantastic, not just because the coffee is AMAZING but all of these things together, make the perfect coffee shop. In particular an iced mocha on a hot day, oh my, nothing quite compares to that first delicious, chocolate filled mouth full. It is filling and super sweet but oh so yummy. I love places like this, just really quirky, a really nice vibe and just another reason I love the Maylands strip.

Milkd clearly is the hip place to be in Maylands when I went in it was packed with people who looked pretty chuffed to be there… There’s some cool street art on the wall which I enjoyed as well as the typical events posters which are always in these kinds of places. The food was really expensive so I just god a macchiato which the guy behind the counter seemed annoyed to be interrupted from his conversation with a friend But I will admit the coffee here is really nice. I had to get out of there quick, I couldn’t help feeling a slightly pretentious air about the place. But that seems to be the in thing these days.

Existing in Maylands; this Milk’d is a little bit more grunge than the other branches, and I like it. The roughly painted white exterior, opens widely to the street, and adds a necessary touch of ‘cool’ this neck of the woods. With cafes and indie boutiques cropping up at what feels like every week in this area, Maylands is the suburb to watch and Milk’d have bucked the trend. The coffee, which makes use of Essenza beans(a rarity these days) is superb and never misses a beat. I come here most days on my way to work and can’t recall a disappointing coffee. If you think this place focuses solely on coffee, and food is an obligatory service; you thought wrong, the breakfast is actually pretty good.

I ordered a delicious affogato(espresso poured over ice cream). They served it together, while I prefer it the tradition way, where they serve both items seperartly and you combine them youself. The affogato was delicious and reasonably priced at $ 4.20. This place was more hip than I expected. It was packed with people. Lots of seating inside and outdoors. The coffee shop played cool jazz music and the walls were covered with cool posters of upcoming parties, events and concerts. If you’re looking for a cool event, just come by, grab a coffee and check out the walls. I appreciate the long trading hours and the fact that they are open on Sunday. Great place to come with friends or unwind with a book or magazine. Bonus points for FREEWIFI!

Milkd is a cosy café located on the café strip of Eighth Avenue, in Maylands. There is a sense of casual chic in this place — the walls are adorned with various music and arts events posters, while scattered around the interior are armchairs, couches and lounges. There is also outdoor sitting, for those who prefer to dine al fresco. Milkd serves quality coffee, and they offer patrons the freedom to create their own drink. So, if there is a coffee combination you’d like to try out, Milkd will be more than happy to accommodate. Their staff is friendly and willing to help, or engage in some banter while you order. As for food, Milkd serves typical café fare, although at a decent price and with generous portions. One meal worth trying is their poached egg and bacon, served on fresh bread. Their poached eggs are done perfectly — firm on the outside and runny on the inside. Milkd is worth visiting if you are looking for a good coffee and brunch options in Maylands.
