I had a 20 year reunion at the private girl’s school that I went to — so I was feeling anxious and keen to boost my confidence by getting my hair and make-​up done before the event. The staff at Platinum were fantastic, down to earth and just lovely. Totally unpretentious. I walked out of there feeling great — can’t recommend the staff and the service highly enough

Love this place! When I moved to Maylands I needed my hair done badly. I am a bleached blonde, naturally dark brown and I had a major roots problem. I asked for an appointment that day, and they were able to fit me in. When I go to a new place I am usually terrified that they will not be able to match my blonde color or that I may turn out either orange and bright white. The stylists were nice and friendly and worked quickly as I was rushing to another appointment after my treatment. While I waited for my color to set in, they made me an espresso, which was a nice touch.
After my treatment I had my hair toned, and the color came out absolutely perfect. It cost me $ 95 for a bleach and tone, and it was well worth it. What I also love is that they keep your hair color on file, so they they can match it the next time you come in.
In addition to hair care, they also do waxings, makeup, spray tanning, manicures, pedicures, facials and body treatments.
The prices are reasonable, but most importantly the results are great. So happy I found a great go-​to hair salon.
