BackpackLight c’est une mini boutique au coin d’une ruelle où il faut monter un escalier pour découvrir du matériel de randonnée pointu et des conseillers très patients :)
Je dis patients car il m’a bien fallu près de 4h réparties sur deux jours à essayer différents modèles avant de jeter mon dévolu sur une petite merveille. À chaque fois le patron et/ou son vendeur sont restés à mes côtés m’aidant à charger et décharger les sacs, les mettre sur mon dos, comparer les fiches produits etc.
Je né peux que recommander l’endroit, et pour ses produits: la plupart des sacs et accessoires sont les derniers sortis et déjà avec des réductions par rapport au marché actuel; et pour le personnel: patients, professionnels et investis dans leur relation avec le client; en somme une vraie bonne adresse pour ceux qui ont besoin d’être guidés comme moi, ou les initiés qui veulent profiter de prix doux.

For the serious adventurer a visit to Backpackng Light is a must.
So the store isn’t as bright and shiney as others in the area but what your missing in open space and selective lighting is made up with high quality products and knowledgable staff. My most recent visit saw me walk in with a idea, a price point and walk out with an Opsrey day pack and a huge smile. There was no pressure to upsie to a bigger or more expensive pack.
There aren’t any ridiculous sales happening here either. Just the usual small business seasonal sales.
You get what you pay for, which is amazing service and knowledge.

Little Bourke is littered with outdoor adventure stores selling all sorts of bargains, but if you want really solid gear you need to wander down Somerset Place to visit these guys. They know what they’re doing and have the best gear, not just the best deal.
