This home-wares store has some great alternative ways to flesh out your kitchen. I adored the Bambu bowls and they have a killer clock/watch selection. This store isn’t cheap but it is great. Not a lot to complain about here. Their range is small but precise. It’s all there for a reason, why clutter everything in case they don’t have something? It just works, OK? It’s aesthetically pleasing and it makes you think you too could have a house that minimalist(you never will). There’s a good range of bags(hello, Baggu) and it’s all very easy on the eyes.

If you’re stuck on what to buy that fussy relative, random co-worker or new romance try Vincent and Vincent. Located on Little Bourke St Vincent2 sell… stuff. Well designed… stuff. Scandinavian timber watch, check! Minimalist Bamboo radio, check! Cork fabric fruit bowl, check! Designed part gallery part retail space the products all contain an element of whimsy and force shoppers to rethink traditional design ideology. These products will not suit everyone’s tastes but even something as simple as the colourful, conical candles make for a unique gift idea. Prices range from inexpensive e.g. candles around $ 14 to several hundred for a multi tiered, revolving candle holder which I am quietly lusting after.
