I know what you’re thinking. Great, another so-so sushi joint in Melbourne’s CBD. Just what we need. But this one’s different — it’s a little more expensive. $ 3 for a fairly dry handroll. I’m not really a fan.

I’ve bought sushi from here a couple of times even though there is nothing special about the sushi, it is the same selection that you get most other places in Melbourne. The reason why I come here is the location on the corner of Flinders Lane and Swanston Walk, if I’m coming to or from Flinders St. Station this is the easiest sushi place to stop at. And I’ve found no reason not to continue with this habit, as the service is good and the place is pleasantly design.

Their sushi isn’t too bad. Simple but delicious. I would like to try their bento boxes. If you are into quality street food of the authentic kind, and simultaneously you would like more of a snack rather than an actual lunch; then a california roll, or a salmon and avocado sushi roll would be just fine, and without the guilt either. This place is simple, clean and inviting. Really cheap and easy without the fuss or the long queues for some fast food to keep you satisfied till your next main meal as your walking around the city doing what your doing; minding your own business. And its healthy food as well, although the rice can be a little full on at times. Guess this is depending on how fresh their sushi is. Its all good. The experiences of buying sushi here to snack on has been faultless, and I would definitely return for a sushi hit when it is needed, and once again only in between meals. Not sure if they offer miso soup; however I might be inclined to try this Japanese delicacy down the track, and also their bento boxes once again for the more hungrier occasions.
