Itoshii Japanese Restaurant

iToshi is my go to place for lunch almost everyday. The dishes are well priced and the service is friendly.
One of my favourites is the squid, the sauce that comes with it is so tasty! Best to order it fresh so you know it will be hot.
They have some good tuna rolls, and the Mexican sushi is a must try!

Very average japanese food. Had a chicken katsu and a chicken karage bento set. Both chickens were overcooked n dry.
Food on the sushi train were surprisingly quite good– better than the bento sets.
Overall, i dont think i’ll visit again.

Although it is not the largest sushi train around the staff are friendly and the restaurant is always clean. A majority of the food is prepared in front of you also.
I recommend the Salmon Auburi and the Kaoribako Nigiri (crab stick).

It’s been a few time that I have been here and the staff are recognising my face. Always a good thing at a food joint!
The staff are super friendly and it’s never too hard to get a seat. Just mind the 12pm rush but it passes pretty quick.
The food has all the right varieties and they’re prepared right in front of you which should be expected from a sushi train!
They have all the classic Japanese favourites which are done with out fault. And I never go with out ordering a nice bowl of miso soup. Presentation is great and the décor and set of of the room is pretty nice, there’s just always that awkward position you put yourself in trying to pull out your chair in between strangers. Their chairs are heavier than usual sushi train stools!
They do interesting combination sushi rolls too. I quite like the spicy Mexican one with hatsu chicken. It’s got the right kick of spice and I love the textures in it!
One think I dislike is that the flavours can lack a little and it seems their portion sizes have lessened somewhat. I guess this happens when businesses grow.
I’ve been here for lunch so much I really want to try it for dinner so that’s next on the list!
