Fantastic coffee and delicious food! There’s always the regular items available on the menu or in the cabinet, but with new things to grab your interest every time. Great for hospital staff and visitors, albeit a little on the expensive side for hospital staff that purchase their lunch daily! The staff at Coffee Code are always friendly and the coffee comes out quickly :)

I love getting my morning flat white($ 4.40) here as it is of very good quality. The staff are so friendly and cheerful. They know your name and order before you need to say anything! The food is of a high standard too. I would recommend the chicken-avocado sandwich on ciabatta($ 10.40). You can also collect loyalty points, always a plus in my books!

Best coffee shop at Sir Charles Gairdner by far! I visit almost every day for my morning coffee. The staff are super friendly, they remember your order and the coffee is made with love. Their sister store XPresso Code just around the corner is my go to– big props to barista Jo, she’s so friendly and brightens my morning. Try the food too — the rolls and sandwiches are fresh daily and some awesome combinations. The pulled pork is amazing!

The pancakes are amazing. The cupcakes are not just pretty — They tastes just as good! Never thought gluten free cupcakes can taste so normal. The giant cookies are amazing, and massive. They make amazing chai latte too. Best hospital food, ever.

This place is amazing! I have been working at the hospital for a year now and either bringing my lunch everyday or trying to find a decent meal somewhere in the hospital! That is until last week when another staff member showed this place and I will never go anywhere else! It is tucked beneath the multi deck car park, just across from the main entrance and has a number of large outdoor tables, as well as tables inside. You can tell how good it is as soon as you walk in as its always absolutely packed around lunchtime! But this doesn’t slow down the service. I have had a number of dishes here including the harrissa chicken wraps, tandoori chicken wraps and the pulled pork roll. But by far the best meal I had was straight off the menu– Chilli, Zucchini and Corn frittatas with guacamole and a poached egg. Oh my god– YUM!!! It was so god damn tasty and the spice from the chillies was so good. I was sitting there eating it in amazement as I hadn’t eaten anything that good in ages. There are heaps of different food options, from quick take-away bites to proper meals. They have daily specials and a dessert cabinet as well. The prices are also really reasonable being around $ 15 for a menu meal and $ 10 for a big roll or wrap. I always leave feeling so full! It almost makes me not want to bother bringing lunch ever again… but I guess I do have to save money! There is also a small shop next door that sells essentials like magazines, toiletries, cat food, milk etc. which could be really handy when you just want to pick up something small!‘

Tired of hospital food? Fabulous new café just a month old across the street from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Came here for breakfast in-between appointments and it was delicious! Had the Roasted Field Mushrooms with Bocconici. They have a breakfast and lunch menu, coffees and cakes and a good size sitting area inside and out. Modern style café very neat and clean with great music playing. Very friendly staff and looking to be known cause they are sort of hidden away beside car park and unable to really advertise yet. However I doubt it won’t be long before this place is super busy and busting with customers. :)
