This is an ok café in a nice location. The coffee is ok, not great and the service is ok, not great. The food is quite tasty, but extremely expensive for a tiny café by the wharf. Great idea is to grab a takeaway coffee and sit by the water or on the grass!

This seaside café is a little gem tucked away into one of the many bays of the Sydney Harbor. El Fresco dinning on the patio over the water or nice table inside either way there are great views of the area. The staff are very attentive to customer needs, you can tell its a local spot the staff knew most of the customer on a first name basis. When arrived we were quickly served a drink, we both ordered some flat whites and looked over the menu. The flat whites were perfectly prepared and came out quickly, the menu had many great options but I went for my usual Big Brekkie. The food was spot on delicious! After the meal we decided to stay a bit longer to enjoy the views, and sip on another drink.

Lovely café with a small but tasty menu. The café has a wide selection of cakes & pastries, naughty but nice! The watermelon salad is yummy, with fresh mint, feta & olives — a lovely light & tasty lunch choice. The coffee is slightly bitter but I will forgive them due to the food bring lovely. The atmosphere is lively & bustling & if you’re lucky you’ll snag a table on the small outside balcony. The café is next to Neutral Bay ferry so a great location for those living outside the bubble. Well worth a visit.

This place is pretty good. It also has amazing views. I must recommend the vegetable juice and the fruit platter. It’s funky and busy however they cram you in tightly and it is extremely loud! I loved the service and the food but would not want to meet someone for a coffee and chat here because it would be difficult to hear them over the kitchen noise and the other diners

This quaint café has the most amazing location to say the least. With a great view and great service, this is Everything a person needs to have a great Saturday brekkie or a catch up with a friend. I absolutely love their menu and especially their small sweet treats!

After an epic bus journey which detoured me around the CBD, across the Harbour Bridge and plopping me in a foreign part of town… I still had to walk another 1.4km downhill in the blazing sun with my bald head scorching every minute to get to this dynamic-duo-named café. Why would I embark on such a treacherous adventure you ask? To meet some mates for brunch. duh!!! Man was this place rocking! Apparently my mates had to make reservations for this place. 11am was call time and I showed up at 1117am, dehydrated and panting like a rescued pup from the RSPCA. They look at me like a hated stepchild. I didn’t give a rat’s ass at this point. Let’s order! I kept to the standard salmon egg’s benedict with a jar of carrot juice while the other two order the famous berry and ricotta crêpe and the sautéed mushroom on toast. Salmon Egg’s Benedict were to perfection! My plate was doused in Hollandaise sauce, the toasty toast one could ever imagine and the salmon… Errmygaaah. My mates became lovely again once the food arrived and even offered to let me try a small bite of the crêpe… BOOMB! The service was friendly and quick. I had to only knock down a star because of the price. As yummy as my salmon egg’s benedict were. It’s not worth the $ 18. But come give this place a try once in your life before you die :)

We called in for lunch with our son on his recommendation and weren’t disappointed. It was very busy which is always a good sign and then to see how they handle more customers is always the test for any establishment. They passed the test with distinction as we were seated in about 5 minutes as they turn over their tables quickly. When my son asked if they were still serving breakfast at 12 and they said yes and he was happy so he and my wife ordered the big breakfast. I ordered the Chicken pie. When the breakfast arrived it was«big» not like some places that don’t know the meaning of big but quality to go withit. My chicken pie was very tasty. All in all meet the big prices charged.

Wow! What a view for breakfast! The breakfast was delicious and portions were generous. We went on a hot morning so I didnt get a coffee, but I was really curious of the coffee jug… if it was cooler I would have loved to try it.

A true find in Sydney. This place is simply amazing. Their berry & ricotta crepes are the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. Everything both looks and tastes amazing and is at reasonable prices. Additionally all the staff are very friendly and always welcoming. There are different seating options, such as in secluded or more crowded areas indoors or outdoors, when the weather is nice. The view is breathtaking from each and every table so you can’t make a mistake there. I’ll definitely be coming back here.

Came here after seeing reviews on Unilocal(see, it does work!!) Place was heaving, I mean flat out. However we got a table quite quickly, and ordered coffees to start while we read the menu. The interior is eclectic, tiny and crowded — I am sure a bit too much so. Great collection of gnomes including Mrs Gnome in a bikini. Certainly full of the local folks, of varying ages from families with kids to the pearls and twinset brigade to retired folks. The noise level was stupendous, and I personally found it to be a little uncomfortable. Coffee was passable, ordered a za’tar pita to start, the seafood risotto Ben was drooling over in his review for me and a falafel wrap for her. The pita was disappointing, one large pita bread(in one piece) toasted after being smeared with an oily za’tar mix. Edges were burnt to a crisp in some places and dry and hard in others. The za’tar itself was nice, however it was so hot and brittle it became an exercise of smash it to bits rather than cut it up. Still, move on. My risotto actually was excellent — the rice perfect, prawns fresh, mussels the same, and pieces of salmon, calamari and other fish rounded it out. Only comment would be there was a bit too much liquid, and the calamari was pretty rubbery, but then it generally is, so no surprises. The falafel wrap was regulation, the pita a bit dry but the falafel reported to be nice. In the end she pulled off the pita and ate the guts of it, which was a pretty good serving. Nice location, although the prevailing wind made it pretty cold. Not sure I would hurry back, but glad we went.

This was my regular café when I lived on Kurraba Road. Not only do you get a beautiful view of the harbour, but the coffees here were decent. On top of that, it was convenient to hang out while waiting for the ferry. A bit pricey to make it a regular weekend brunch spot for me, I made sure to take friends and family here when they were visiting though. Friend of mine visited and got the scallops! Don’t know if they still serve them, but slap my ass and call me Sally they were good. If the weather is nice, be sure to hang out on the patio area. It if is windy and you have pricey electronics, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Running to the ferry in Neutral Bay you will pass by this place. Oh if only their coffee service was somewhat speedy(instead of relatively slow) I’m sure there would be more people getting a flat white to go right before jumping on the ferry for their commute to work or going into the city on the weekend. But this place is a little slower than you’d hope for. Then again, they are always full and probably do not have time to fling coffee to the passers by. The baked goods are pretty good, nothing crazy special. But when you can enjoy a coffee and a scone right on the waterfront, it is pretty nice. The only reason I do not come here for that more often is I can enjoy a coffee from my espresso machine at home and walk onto my balcony and have my own harbour view which is further away but still nice. I may come back to try the seafood risotto as Benjamin’s review has peaked my interest.

I have never been crippled with such crushing, debilitating food envy as I was at this quirky little waterside café. My king-size Foxes Wagyu Burger was all well and good — no complaints, really — but when the seafood risotto arrived at the table next to ours. .. by Jupiter’s trombone I wanted it. I really, really wanted it. Brimming with mussels, swimming with prawns, topped with shelves of piquant Parmesan and lashings of coarse black pepper, it was served in its own oily broth and the damned sea breeze sweeping in from the balcony kept sending delicious wafts of it straight up my snoot. And all of a sudden I was That Guy: the creep that sits there and stares boggle-eyed and twitchy-fingered at somebody else’s food without realising he’s doing it. Everybody hates that guy. Look at your own food, wierdo.

This has to be one of those places people will either love or hate — amazing location, friendly service, obviously popular with the locals… but the service can be slow, the place can be noisy and the food and coffee are ok without being mind blowing. Being a single guy I think the main reason I would stay away in future is the large number of families with young children that visit — catching up with friends over brunch with lots of screaming children around is just not for me. I have no problem with the families frequenting the place, I think this is a case of choosing the venue that is right for you — in the same way parents with three young children are probably less likely to go to a place like Klink, which is a small espresso bar in the city with only a couple of small tables. One of the selling points for this place is their focus on organic produce, and many of the treats they have out look like they would be fantastic as a snack with the coffees. I had the rustic breakfast here, which was not bad — the bacon was nice and thick, the toast was heavily buttered(not my style) and the sausage was ok. Nice to see a range of sides… but they are pricey, nearly $ 5 for a side of avocado! The coffee was ok, I ordered a double mac which was perhaps slightly too watery and perhaps slightly too milky — but still very drinkable. Big plus for this place — they have wifi! I am always pleased to see forward thinking cafes like this around, and if you were after a place to get some work done during a quieter time for them then the setting is perfect, being right on the water.

The café Thelma and Louise has a little touch of the duo in it for sure. It’s sweet with a touch scruffy… just a touch but it adds character to the place rather than depress it. Located beside the Neutral Bay Wharf Ferry Entrance the café is a little treasure I’d prefer not to have everyone know about but equally want to share the love. I like cafes that give me the impression the owners have been around the world and back, a place they’ve created with a combination of odd bits and bobs. The bright blue walls splattered with a mix of artwork including giant black letters and numbers, a montage of mirrors and another of inspirational plaques with quotes like ‘nothing is impossible to him who will try’. The row of gnomes behind the bar is a nice touch too. The dark wooden well loved chairs and old drinking bottles with geraniums plopped in them give Thelma and Louise a cottage feel but instead of being in the country side it’s by a quiet part of Sydney Harbour. There are four tables on the balcony that overlook the serene water view complete with small pleasure yachts. A small open kitchen and obvious regulars who shout out ‘same as usual’ across the room give Thelma and Louise a community feel(I could hear my chickpea balls sizzling on the pan!). The menu thanks their small business suppliers(wine, olive oil and pudding) with a few dishes tagged as ‘mum’s signature’ recipes. I love the unique names — Magic Monster Muffin($ 5) and Powers Irish Whiskey Coffee($ 14). Ingredients are organic or locally sourced — their herbs, passionfruit, pumpkin and eggplant are grown in their own garden. Gluten free bread is available but they’re also happy to do a gluten free version of the dishes. I had Mum’s Falafel Roll($ 15)as a salad instead of a wrap. It was really fresh, tasty and a sufficiently light lunch. Other dishes that took my fancy were the Foxes Wagyu Beef Burger($ 24) and the special of the day — Seafood Risotto — looked delicious and a perfect fit for a dining on the water. Big breaky lovers will love the Pink Breakfast complete with a flute of pink bubbles for $ 27($ 1 of which goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation). Coffee is organic and you can buy it by the bowl. Bonsoy milk — the smoothest and best soy milk by far to heat for coffee — is used. T2 teas as well as fairtrade and organic teas are available. There is a slightly unstable child seat rather than high chair. WiFi available.

Thelma and Louise is the kind of neighbourhood gem that is so pleasing to have as a local in our neighbourhood of Kurraba Point/Neutral Bay. For years we have enjoyed the monster muffins and the rustic breakfast of eggs with sides of roasted tomato, sausage and beans with big thick crust toast. The coffee has improved considerably and the service now matches the ever frantic patronage of the café. Thelma and Louise sits on the corner of the entry to Hayes Street Wharf and a quick snack can be enjoyed as you watch the ferry turn into Kirribilli wharf and come towards Hays Street wharf. It has also become licensed as its BYO with $ 2.50 corkage. Days prior to becoming a Mum would be idled away with friends and loved ones as we watched the sparkling water in this little alcove of Sydney Harbour. Choose wisely when visiting on windy days as outside on the balcony can get rather windy. There is metered parking and one side of the Lower Wycombe Road is unlimited parking if you can find a spot. Should you be planning a visit to the city consider coming down to Hayes Street and experiencing Thelma and Louise.

Friendly neighbourhood café, and very popular with those using the Neutral Bay ferry to commute, since it’s right at the top of the wharf. They do a busy morning business in coffee(which is decent) and for afternoon cakes(which are very good). A bottle of white wine on their little balcony over the lapping waves of the harbour is a good thing, too. The ladies running the show are friendly. I’ve not seen them drive over a cliff yet, though.
