Its a great big space, with both inside and outside dining. Went with a group of 5 just after Christmas for lunch. The menu has a great selection of food and beverages to choose from. We were seated promptly and the place wasn’t too busy. We received the menus and a bottle of water soon after we were seated. It was a hot day so that water disappeared quickly between 5 people. However, it took about 30 minutes before someone came over to take our order. That is for both food and drinks. I understand the staff may have been still hungover from Christmas, exhausted or just having an off day. We all have those. The coffee & food made up for it. The coffee is great, because I had two. The one thing I am definitely liking about Brisbane, is the fact the coffee shops have lactose free milk. In Sydney that is rare! No more Soy for me! :) The meals are good sizes. I couldn’t even eat all of mine, but then again I don’t eat much. The price is reasonable and despite the slow service, I would go back. As I said, we all have our off days.

Buzz serves the kind of breakfast where you can’t decide what to get because of so many tasty menu items!

Very good breakfast and coffee. The service was friendly and quick. The order before you sit was a little odd but not a huge issue. I had the omelet which was tasty with fresh ingredients and a side of excellent double smoked bacon. I will come again.

My Partner and I have been to this place at least 20 times. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, big airy open dining area with nice surrounds — this is the main reason we come here. The other reason is that they are the first café to open each morning at GASWORKS. The service will vary greatly depending on who is rostered on. The food also varies greatly depending on the day. Some days you get generous portions and are happy to hand over 15 – 20 for a meal, other days you’re left feeling robbed. The coffee is always nice, just slow to arrive.

Went last night with extended family. We sat outside to the side of the restaurant which was good as we were on our own. The view of the Gasworks Structure was great at night. Service was good but the lack of some menu items was disappointing. There was a dish unavailable from each course(entrée, main and dessert). Being a Saturday night, that was really inexcusable for a restaurant. The meals we did get were on the money except that an entrée that was ordered by one couple didn’t come out till everyone’s main arrived. Looking at the other restaurants in the same complex, I won’t be going back there in a hurry before trying them out.

Came here after a big night out, and the blueberry pancakes with bacon were off the chain. Exactly what I was looking for and the pancakes were perfect. Really fresh blueberries and the coffee was excellent too. We didn’t have to wait at all to be seated, but this was a Sunday around 10am so maybe not their peak hours. Food came out fairly quickly too, with coffees coming out in a couple of minutes after we ordered so very happy there. Staff were friendly and continually gave us more water, after we finished our first bottle. Food looked amazing and I have no complaints at all! Will definitely be coming again!

I love a good breakfast and Buzz is a great place — nice and spacious and you can be there in as a couple or as a big group. Food was very nice, cooked well and there was definitely a lot of it. A good menu but not so overly big that you can’t find your way around it. The staff were attentive but not hovering over you. Great place to come for breakfast and I am now looking forward to trying lunch there.

Booked early a table of 9 for 1pm and on the windiest day of the year they stuck us outside. Best back up offer was to sit at the counter if we could wait another 15 minutes. We left and spent $ 658 at another place and we won’t be going back.

Ok, catching up with a friend. Decide to try someplace new at the much spoken about ‘gasworks’ precinct. Here now. Look for a place that seems popular. Have found ‘Buzz’. So far worst /most average experience ever! If you hate queue’s full stop, you will not feel good hear from the outset. You have to queue for everything! To get a seat, to get a menu and then to order! They’re busy, and we’re deep in conversation so it’s not a big deal the wait on the coffee & when it arrives it’s ok. Not great but not bad. I order the eggs benny w bacon & my friend the Pide. Again the wait for the meals is not exceptional but it is long. I rationalise that it is Saturday so the wait’s ok. My eggs benny w bacon has no bacon(salmon) and the eggs are hard boiled, or so it seems. I consider sending it back but think better of it, figuring the wait will be longer and not worth the effort. My friends Pide is ok, but again nothing to write home about. Surroundings are pleasant but the service is non existent and the food is simply average at best. We eat and leave. Summary? Self service, slow & poor meal delivery. Priced at restaurant level. In this area there are better to choose from. I won’t be back.

Had a great breakfast there again this morning and while the food was up to its usual high standard the speed of the service had improved considerably. Thanks

Their trio dips with freshly baked pizza dough is quiet unique ! it goes just so well with a glass of wine. Pizza is quiet average. but surprisingly their Pork Belly dish is lovely tho !

The food here was good, but the service was outstanding. Being a last minute person I often am not organised enough to make any occasion really special, as threatened to be the case for my best friend’s birthday. Never fear — all I had to do was mention the word ‘birthday’ to waitress Emily and she was on the case. After dragging me over to the bar and introducing me to bartender Nick, she began gathering her evidence. Could they do a special brownie + sparkler dessert, complete with singing? Well, my BFF is gluten free… Nevermind, does she like cocktails? Does she like cocktails! The next thing I knew our table was besieged by cosmos, sparklers and singing waitstaff. Then the champagne arrived, and the super sized, gluten free dessert, and the flowers were swept away to the cool room to keep them looking gorgeous throughout the night. Despite being busy, these staff went out of their way to make our night great. And the food was pretty good too!

Blergh! My boyfriend pretty much summed it up. «I don’t know how places can take ingredients out of a box, and put it on a plate, and still manage to attract customers. I guess that’s Brisbane for you. So disappointing when there are plenty of other great places.» My breakfast of truffled scrambled eggs was ok but it’s not hard to make truffled eggs taste like truffles. But the Buzz breakfast plate looked gross. As if it had come out of a coffee club kitchen. We had to leave our flat whites full on the table when we left. Or as I thought at the first couple of sips«coffee flavoured milk».
