Awful soy milk coffee! Flat white was nice but a bit weak. Sweet Cannelloni was lovely.

It was my first time into Driphouse today after walking past it everyday since it opened and now I see what all the fuss is about. In the mornings there is always a queue out of the door and I’m not a massive fan of waiting so I had never ventured in. Today it was quiet so I decided to take the plunge. I ordered a cappuccino and after looking at the extensive range of sweets and bagels I ordered a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel too. Wow, now I understand why people queue up for this place. The coffee was one of the best I have ever had and was served at the perfect drinking temperature(which was great because I was on a short break from work)! The bagel was a tad light on the cream cheese front but was very tasty. At $ 13.50 for a coffee and bagel it was by no means an inexpensive coffee break but that won’t stop me from indulging again.

Two words — Nutella mocha. On taking first sip, I’m not sure I could taste any coffee in my mocha. But then I asked myself the real question — did I care? The answer was no. It was chocolately and delicious and that’s all that mattered. Very cool little joint down on Hay St. I liked the beautiful light fixtures and wood. Would go again.

Drip House, or ‘trip house’ as its affectionally known in my office thanks to the small, seemingly harmless step at the entrance of the café, is up there as the best coffee in Perth. This could just be my opinion, but its backed up by the 20 people I have to wait in line behind no matter what time of the morning I drop by. Despite the masses of people in this teensy café, the coffee is pumped out quickly but with great care. There is also cannoli, there is donuts, there is muffins, and there is a coffee and bacon and egg bagel for $ 10 sometimes. Oh, and croissants. PLUS, you only have to buy 6 coffee’s and you get the 7th one free. How good is that? Your morning coffee just got that much more exciting

Love this place Awesome staff. These guys live their coffee. We ordered 2 long macchiatos. My friend was blown away with how good the coffee was. The décor is fantastic and sets the mood for a great coffee. They serve Fiori coffee. I’ll definitely be back.

My review is based solely on my coffee and muffin experience but for that it gets 5 stars! This is a cute little café that is very popular now in the city but worth the wait. The soy mocha is perfect, which is hard to find but its the perfect ratio of coffee to chocolate. The medium is a good size and not expensive but if you want a large you will have to go elsewhere. On Friday mornings they have a $ 7 coffee and cannoli deal and sometimes a coffee and muffin deal which is great value and the food is delicious. Try out the apple crumble muffin, it’s huge and full of flavour! The staff are awesome and friendly and they pump through orders quickly and you only need to have 6 coffees before you get a free one so make sure you get a coffee card. It’s a great little place that I’ll make my Friday morning regular spot.

Driphouse — what an appropriate name for a café which serves up the best drip coffee in town! It might be the new kid on the block but it is already popular with the locals and can boast of a steady stream of loyal customers who stop by for a cup of their delicious brew! I have enjoyed many a macchiato and several iced coffees from Driphouse since Day One, so much so, that I have already availed of my free coffee thanks to the loyalty card they offer! They use Fiori coffee which means you are assured of the quality. When you drop by for a coffee, you will be tempted by the delicious sweet offerings which are usually piled high on the counter, enticing you to cast aside your willpower and succumb to temptation. The cannoli are crisp and light and filled with a lovely, subtly flavoured custard. The Italian doughnuts are like a doughnut roll, dusted with sugar and also filled with custard. I adore the baklava here, it is the bomb. They also have marvellous muffins and Rawesome treats. Usually there is a coffee deal on here, so you can get a coffee and a cannolo or doughnut for just $ 7. The breakfast special is amazing as well — for $ 10 you can get a coffee and a bagel filled with scrumptious, bacon and eggy goodness! The fit out is fresh and new and has a feeling of light and air. The beautiful chandelier adds a touch of sparkle and certainly brightens up my day. There is ample seating, should you wish to dine in. The staff are professional, competent and charming. You are always greeted with a ready smile and a willingness to please. Even when it gets busy they manage to maintain their equilibrium, so kudos to them. Driphouse is open from Monday to Saturday, so call in and enjoy a coffee and a treat!

So there’s three staff members roistered on at 2.30pm on a Wednesday. One doing the till, one as a barista, and one ‘being the owner ‘. Here’s a thought, if you own a coffee shop — best you know how to make coffee. Mostly because if you’re barista goes to the bathroom and you have 6 people walk into your shop, they don’t wait for 10mins wondering what is going on and why no one is doing anything. Epic hipster fail

Driphouse opened this week on the Tuesday after the long weekend, since then I have stopped off on a daily basis to pick up my morning coffee here. It is located on Hay Street just before where the Holiday Inn is and it is a great location if you are passing through from the Underground Train Station. Dedicated to coffee, service from the start has been friendly and quick, even if there is a crowd. So far I have only ordered black coffee, but it is the best one I have had in the CBD area. They have daily specials when you combine a coffee with their food — check out the blackboard instore for these. The fitout of the space is great, it’s hard to believe this was previously a clothes shop, the chic fittings make this a nice little space to sit and relax should you not chose, like me to grab coffee on the run. There is limited seating in the back area as well as a couple of street front tables. I am yet to try any food from Driphouse but they do offer muffins, cakes, cannoli, toasted sandwiches, crossaints and wraps; they also stock Rawsome Treats. The Loyalty Card at Driphouse is buy 6 coffees and get your seventh free which I think is a great incentive to head back here for your daily coffee, there are not too many places around the CBD area with this sort of value. Coffee is priced from $ 3.50 for a small and $ 4.00 for a large. They don’t currently have cold drip but their menu board has it as ‘coming soon’. If you are around the CBD and love your coffee I would highly recommend a visit to Driphouse sometime soon.
