Cool funky place for a drink. Great selection of drinks available. I was spoilt for choice with ciders. Comfy spaces to sit and chat. Friendly staff

Nice chilled out bar– lots of drink options including some special local ciders(which I enjoyed). Really reasonably priced which is a rarity for the CBD/central. Some seating outside but we preferred the comfy sofas inside where we could chat, relax and take advantage of the air con! Didn’t have food but everything we saw being brought out looked pretty good! Would definitely recommend for a drink or two!

This is the first time I’ve been to the Boheme since it was rebranded. I’d been to it back when it was«Bobby Dazzler’s», which at the time struck me as an average safe option for going for a pub lunch. I went for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, so I didn’t really get to see how it performs under stress(like on a Friday night) The good things that jumped up at me at Boheme was the variety of seating and the good range of drinks. The seating had the formats of the high bar stool type chairs at high tables, a low set couches with low tables(think coffee table at home) and standard height seats and tables. The drinks list was reasonably good, with the big hitters in the imported beers being present(Guinness, Heineken, Stella) with a few extras such as Kilkenny and Hoegaarden all being on tap. Local on top options included most of the James Squire range, Hahn, Toohey’s, etc. Unfortunately like most pubs it seems there’s only bar staff, so you have to order your meal at the bar and pick it up yourself. This is a trend I first noticed at the Belgian Beer Café and it’s disappointing to see it become almost a defacto arrangement now. I had the beer battered fish and chips while my lunch partner had a beef burger. Both meals were prepared in a reasonably quick time and of decent size, chips were cooked skin on and to a good consistency. Overall, the range of beverages has increased over the Bobby Dazzler days, and it remains an average and safe option for a pub lunch or drinks after work if you’re in the CBD.

Not bad really. I expected less, real pub food. The restaurant section was nice. Good service. Pizza was actually good! Nice atmosphere. Don’t just walk past!

I love the setting and the bar but it is far too noisy to be able to have a conversation. Beersa re cold and the staff were really lovely.

I’ve been here a couple times for after work drinks. It is always busy and buzzing in here. There is quote a range if drinks on offer at the bar, the staff are friendly and décor is delightful. Prices are average for what you you will pay for drinks in Perth, especially in the CBD. With TVs showing sports, a variety if seating options and standing space, both indoors and outdoors, this place is great for the catch up. I’ve seen plenty of people enjoy a meal here as I walk past it frequently but have yet to experience it for myself. Maybe next time. A great little drinking spot.

Been here a few times during the day and afternoon. Always a pleasant experience with plenty of space, good service and decent drinks. Handy for the train station if you, like me, are from out of town. The free wifi is always a plus as some of the other places I popped into either didn’t have it, or made it a pain to use.

The Boheme is a place I have walked past millions of times and haven’t stopped in until a couple of weeks ago. Since it changed to this from Booby Dazzlers they have redone the interior to make it a cool, clean and modern bar. There is a lot of seating indoor and some outdoor as well(although those tables outside always seem to be full). We only popped in for a drink as we had just had lunch but the menu looked to have some good options and the drinks were reasonably priced so I think I will come back here to try some of the food!

My boyfriend and I popped into this bar for a couple drinks on a recent Thursday night after an early dinner. There were not a lot of folks there, and it was a decidedly older crowd, with most folks appearing mid-30s up to their 60s or so. It was a great spot for us to chat, as it was nice and quiet and has a rather interesting décor… somewhat lush and old-fashioned in one area where we sat, with huge old comfy couches and chairs(Chesterfield-esque according to my boyfriend… in case that means anything to some of you…), but quite modern in others, with stools and taller tables. There was also rather good people-watching. The drinks were nice(I had my first Matsos beer — delicious!), but nothing spectacular. The service was friendly and quick, and it’s in a great location. Overall, a nice spot for a chill drink or when you want to have a conversation without rubbing elbows or yelling over the other patrons, but not a spot to head to for a wild night out.

I never really take much notice of this place but I have noticed I have been here quite a bit lately! I believe this use to be Bobby Dazzler’s, a classic Aussie pub. Not sure if it’s the same owners but it has gone through an extensive make over to become The Boheme. The décor is really classy and there is plenty of seating inside with couches and tables and chairs. There is also some seating outside. It never really gets too busy either so it is a perfect place to pop in for a drink should you be waiting for lines of the bigger clubs/bars to die down.

Yeah quite impressed at this place over the Christmas period. The lunch special is not bad value and you get a beer or glass of wine with it for $ 20. Went there twice in the last week with a friend who has a wheelchair. They couldnt do enough for us to ensure we got a suitable table. Quite impressive seeing the place was so busy with the Christmas rush.

Food was nice… Except it was $ 40 for a steak which was 150 grams. Overpriced and the staff are all foreigners who really don’t care as they are just happy to be out of their shithole country and seem content on bringing the same level of service here. Any restaurant that makes their customers go and get their own food from the bar is a disgrace.

This place is always a popular for when you have to wait in the cue for the new restuarant down the road(wont mention the name). It has friendly service and although the prices are a little high the ombionce of the place shows that it is more for the upper market drinkers than your local pub. If you like a place to relax and have a nice quiet drink in the city and don’t mind the prices then this is a must go place to visit

Fun little nightspot in Perth if you just want a quick drink. I think this used to be the old bobby dazzlers which was more like an RSL club than a bar. Now it’s new and updated. They have a modernish Australian pub menu. Allthough no comments on the food. I was only there to drink. The meals did look rather appetising though. The bar feels a lot like something from the 1950’s prohibition era or something. Classically styled to make you feel comfortable. And a good spread of places to relax from table and chairs to high chairs and high tables right down to the comfy lounge booths.

Not the nest bar in Perth, but definitely also not the worst. I was a big fan of Bobby Dazzler;s though so I hold a bit of a grudge against The Boheme for taking it over! They’ve made it a bit too swanky with their interior design, however the drinks are reasonably priced and its location makes it perfect for a quick drink while you’re waiting for the train.

We gave Boheme a second shot at the title since opening, unfortunately it missed the mark again. We started with the entrée coming out at the same time as the mains which was a little confusing. The thing that I really couldn’t understand was having gravy with chicken breast and prosciutto. The chicken was pretty much a glorified Parma with no positives. The lamb cutlets we’re overcooked, although the accompanying sauce was nice to dip the trio of meats in. Overall there seems to be no clear direction in any of the dishes and they weren’t cooked to a good standard. I hope one day Boheme improves their gameplay do I can give it another shot. Food 4.5÷10 service 7⁄10 décor 7⁄10

I haveto voice a particular gripe that isn’t necessarily mine(to be honest its an opinion owned by my boyfriend but I’ve heard it so many times, it has ended up in my internal psyche). No pints! At first look, the beers on the menu look cheap as the ‘large’ drinks are about $ 8/$ 9 which gets the taste buds tingling. Let me say ‘420ml’ is not ‘large’, it is in fact ‘medium’ at most! Regardless, there is something quite nice about sitting at the benches outside on a sunny evening. The food is nice too and gets the thirst going for some ‘large’ drinks.

This pub has a decidedly mis-matched ambience. The architects, interior designers and furnishings people obviously didn’t speak. I’m not sure if the correct term is ‘furnishings people’ but whoever decided to create a glamorous 1920s by-gone era atmosphere didn’t discuss the attempted mood of the pub with the person who chucked in two massive, distinctively 2012 plasma televisions. The offensive televisions often play sport or sport some scantily clad waif pouncing about in hot pants, perfectly presented high definition. You know the high definition I’m referring to. That clean crisp clarity. The one type only found in anything filmed this side of 2010. It’s at times like this I have to put my ‘Nana’ hat on and announce that I could do better. Just as my 80-something year old nana fervently believed she could often outplay Ben Cousin’s when he missed a relatively easy goal, I reckon I could do a better job of creating continuity in the atmosphere here. At least put something mildly glamorous or 1920s inspired on the bloody tvs!

Stand in the main bar of the Bohème from about three o’clock in the afternoon on – buy yourself a glass of the riesling if you’d like – until about six o’clock in the evening. By the time you go to leave – by which time I hope you’ve had a few more glasses of that same reisling – you’ll be lucky if you can move. This is a bar that, by virtue of its design sense and location, pulls a crowd without any evident effort at all. The fact that most of this crowd are in suits almost goes without saying. The 1920s theme – deep leather chairs, Art Deco light fittings, intricately-patterned carpet, and so on – gives the venue a touch of class that appeals to the Fitzgerald-like new rich of a boom-time city. Its location in the heart of the central business district, amidst the various office buildings, gives it an almost ready-made clientele, which files out of those same buildings at five. And the fact that it is incredibly spacious – you may not be able to move, but that’s not because it isn’t open and roomy – means that it can cram in the crowd it has made it its mission to cram in.(I say that most of the crowd wears suits. I should also point out, however, that the crowd is also impressively diverse demographically. I sat between a businesswoman reading a novel, two African men, and an elderly gentleman. We were surrounded on all sides by people enjoying end-of-week work drinks.) While I can speak to the quality of the Bohème’s fit-out – I am especially fond of the large pane of glass with the image of a 1920s flapper on it – I cannot speak to the quality of its food. The restaurant has seemed rather empty every time I have been to the bar, which may say something about the restaurant, or merely about the fact that everyone is having too good a time pretending to be Jay Gatsby to pull themselves away from their liquor.

If ever you’re shopping in the city and your boyfriend is complaining about having to stand outside the fitting room for so long, send him down to The Boheme and tell him you’ll meet him there when you’re done. He can have a few beers to keep him occupied while he’s waiting for you, and when you get there you can have a tasty and well-earned(shopping can be stressful!) meal together as you watch the world go by. I love sitting outside here with my shopping bags watching the shoppers bustle about, especially now in the run up to Christmas. The food is pretty expensive for bar food, but the best thing on the menu in my opinion is the simple old beef burger. The meat is so tasty, but I think the secret is in the bread bun. I’m not sure what kind of bread it is but it is absolutely out of this world good!
