This is our favourite Japanese local for fresh sashimi, sushi and some great rice dishes too! We often dine in but also grab takeaway sometimes for those«lazy» nights in. The staff are wonderfully friendly, lovely and attentive! My husband and I most recently shared the sushi and sashimi platter for two and it was delicious, fresh and very generously sized. It also came with miso on the side for each of us. On one occasion we couldn’t finish off some of the sashimi on the platter, only because we were full, but the lovely chef came and asked if we didn’t like the fish we left behind(it was all one type of white fish) and if we didn’t like it, he could give us some extra tuna or salmon instead! This really impressed us! But we were honestly just too full to finish! Also try out the donburri and katsu rice dishes! And the edamame and gyoza are also great! Add the super friendly service and you won’t be disappointed!

We came in just after 10pm after a long day. Starving and looking slightly disheveled the staff were lovely and accommodating, and happy to make us dinner. We ordered the prawn gyoza and edamame beans, both of which were delicious. The edamame were cooked to order with bite and just the right amount of saltiness. The gyoza were crispy on the outside, not oily and the prawns were fresh and plump with the right amount of seasoning, the dipping sauce was also delicious. The Spicy Sashimi Don was my first preference but was sold out, so my second choice was a piping hot bowl of vegetable udon noodles. The soup was steaming, full of crisp vegetables and plump udon noodles. This will be a favourite on cold winters nights. Definitely one to warm you up! Will be back soon so I can try the sushi and sashimi dishes, and hopefully bump it up to 5 stars!
