My first visit to BOHO was a mixed experience. I had the chicken panini which was delicious. I had a green smoothie which was nice as well. Their juicer wasn’t working which was a negative. My friends did not have good experiences. They didn’t have almond milk which is strange these days for a place which has expresso in the name. They also put icecream in the smoothies which was not listed as an ingredient on the menu. Why list some ingredients and not the others? And then to top it off they refused to do a long black on ice, saying they’d only do it with icecream and milk. Seriously. While my food was good I wouldn’t be rushing back. It seems they rely on their location rather than service.

Oh no BOHO. This used to be a great post-beach lunch spot when it opened three-ish years ago. I headed there yesterday for lunch and found that the café hasn’t made any updates over the last 3 years and has really fallen behind the eight ball on what are basic requirements for a café in 2016. The juicer wasn’t working yesterday, no big deal these things happen. I thought I’d get a smoothie instead, asking if I could have it with almond milk instead of dairy, the staff told me they don’t stock almond milk. This was a bit of a shock, as I feel like more people drink non-dairy milk than diary these days. Then she asked me if I still wanted ice cream in my smoothie. I was surprised that they put ice cream in a smoothie, I would presume it’s usually something a bit more healthy like fro-yo or just ice. My friend wanted a long black on ice(it was a hot day) and the person behind the counter said she couldn’t do that, she could only make her an iced coffee with cream and ice cream. What?! I had my heart set on a salad, but the two options looked pretty lacklustre in the cabinet. I had one of the veggie frittatas and it wasn’t very good, I definitely could make something better at home. So what was once a great little new opening seems to have failed to make any updates to keep up with changes in customer desires over a few years. I won’t be back, especially now there are so many other café options in Scarborough.

I have been here a few times. I think BOHO need to be more competitive with the prices as the quality of food in Perth has increased and you can get a lot better for a lot cheaper these days. BOHO also don’t have the option of alternative milks as they only offer cow’s milk or soy. The food is good but overpriced.

Warm sunny days and blue skies. Doesn’t that sound like perfect beach weather? You guess it! Summer is already here and we are ready to embrace summer with open arms. Last week, I met up with my friend, Laura for brunch at BOHO espresso before heading down to chill at the beach. It’s strategically located a short walk away from the beach right opposite Rendezvous Hotel. I went for the healthy option which is the Green bowl consisting of avocado, poached eggs, mung beans, quinoa, edamame, snow pea sprouts, kale and cucumber. It’s a bowl bursting full of fresh greens and flavours. My poached eggs were also poached to perfection with liquid yellow oozing out. My friend, Laura had the pork belly tortilla and she really enjoyed it. Her poached eggs were also cooked perfectly. I had a taste of her pork belly tortilla and thought that it was delicious. The pork belly was marinated well, juicy and tender. To complement our food, we ordered some smoothies which were very refreshing. Perfect for a warm, summer’s day. Overall, we enjoyed the food at BOHO espresso. However, the prices are quite steep for what you get. If you have a 2015⁄2016 Entertainment voucher, you can use it here to get 25% off for your total bill.

I LOVE this place. Not only do they do GREAT coffee but they also offer some very healthy, delicious food. I thoroughly enjoyed my green breakfast bowl, not a carb insight and packed full of goodness. Poached eggs, rocket, spinach leaves, dukkha, avocado, lemon juice, the list goes on. I was so impressed and satisfied with my healthy meal I will definitely be back for more! Not to mention the great location right by the beach, perfect for a stroll after brunch. The whole menu and even the pre-prepared food in the cabinet is well worth a look! Get there, you won’t be sorry.

Nice setup and good vibe going on throughout the store. Food and coffee was nice but nothing amazing in my opinion. Got a takeaway coffee and bagel for a friend and it was 17 dollars something… ridiculously expensive!!!

I’ve wanted to come here for a while. On first glance this place looked pretty cool and laid back and really nice outside. I went to order the beetroot toast which they didn’t have and then asked for the pumpkin toast — same answer. So we had to order their only option available which was the sourdough. The orders came out a little cold so the butter didn’t melt. The coffee was cold too but I don’t like mine hot so I could drink it straight away. It was so smooth and creamy. I’m hoping it was just an off day for them so I will try again but not anytime soon.

Very disappointed with our brunch. $ 60 for two meals and two coffees. No idea what they were thinking when they decided to smear beetroot juice on the plate with eggs and bacon mushrooms asparagus and rosemary potatoes. … trying too hard. Not cool! Eggs were over cooked. Coffee had a strange taste and my mug had a big chip out the rim. Health and safety people! Service was very slow and we asked for the vegan option with no eggs and it arrived with them on?

I ventured here after a casual morning dip at Scarborough Beach today, as the coffees at the local place where it usually pick up a breakfast kebab from are frightfully bad. Picture dirty dishwater strained through stale, flavourless beans topped with watery, burnt milk. Needless to say I could not choke another of those down! Walked across to Boho — first impressions were good. The décor is mismatched(but in that«what, this?! Oh it was accidental, but it worked out”-kinda way). They have a fantastic outdoor seating area that I imagine would get a flogging during the warmer months. I believe it’s dog-friendly, too. The coffees were sensational — perfect temperature, nice and strong, and the milk was silky and creamy. I have yet to sample the food here, but a quick perusal of the menu has me dying to try. They have a juice bar offering lots of combinations of freshly squeezed juices, and some mighty tempting bagels, I might add.

Boho expresso is a cool little café in the perfect spot on Scarborough beach. The layout is really nice with many of the parts made from recycled goods. I just had a cup of tea here today while I was waiting to meet someone but the good around me looked amazing! Everything looked so fresh and tasty from the sandwiches to the muffins and cakes. Will definitely coming back to have lunch here soon!

Quality stuff but with a price to match. $ 10 for a smoothy? I think I’d rather buy the fruit and make it myself. But if your budget allows, Boho has a great selection of delectable items.

Went here last Sunday morning for breakfast after a bit of a hiatus over winter I love Boho and frequently attend for breakfast in summer as it caters for our furry friends given it’s outdoor location! The new menu for breakfast looked outstanding, although I have since learnt that this is the winter menu! I did opt for my trusty staple breaky and had a bacon and egg toastie and black coffee! The toasties here are awesome and are actually big enough to share or guarantee you won’t need any lunch. Food is always fresh and comes relatively quickly depending on the crowd! They also have local talent playing music on a Sunday over summer which I am looking forward to come the good weather! The menu has definitely expanded since it opened and there are a lot more breakfast choices then previously — I also think that the prices are a little less then when they first opened! Service is always good quality the staff are always friendly and welcoming! Great breakfasts — great coffee — outstanding location! Sure to become one of my staple breakfast cafes over spring/summer!

We Decided to drop in here for breakfast and i have to say it was one of the best i have had in awhile right beside the beach and mostly outdoors it is a laid back atmosphere this is a great place to get your early morning breakfast. Boho Espresso is the kinda of café that Scarborough needed to breath new life in to the otherwise boring shops and cheap chip joints. I Would highly recommend to anyone heading down that way

I can’t recommend this place enough! The food looks and tastes amazing, the staff are bubbly and friendly and its is right next to the beach. Perfect. The only downside is that the prices are slightly high($ 24 for a breakfast) but in this case, it is most definitely worth it as the food is brilliant. I will definitely be returning. Try the cha cha boom!

Great location, decent food and coffee but bad service. When my work colleagues and I visited for Friday lunch, I saw there was no time restriction and ordered a Breakfast item off the board. When the others at my table received their meals before I did, I enquired about mine. 20 minutes after I had placed my initial order, a nice lady approached me and told me that breakfast items were not available at lunch and that she was sorry that my order was taken anyway. She offered me the Salmon stack instead. Since I have had it before and enjoyed it and was pretty hungry, I agreed. After another wait, the man who originally took my order approached out table and asked about the coconut drink we had ordered. I could not figure out what he was saying. When I finally got my meal much later, it was different from the menu(stale bread instead of potato rossi and other things) and wasn’t very good. There’s a great shaded outdoor area where you can enjoy the sea breeze. A great location even with road traffic, but I probably wouldn’t go back for anything more challenging than coffee.

I love going out for breakfast, it’s my favourite meal of the day. We came here on impulse — jumped in the car one Sunday morning to go buy bread, and then couldn’t be bothered going back home to cook it all then clean up so decided to eat out instead. Rolled up at about 9.30am, it was busy but we could still find a table. The service was reasonably quick, and the coffee was really good. I usually always get eggs, but the avo on ciabatta tempted me enough — and it was worth the risk! The Labneh really added a whole new level. Husband got the La Boheme and his poached eggs looked perfectly cooked. I loved the idea of adding asparagus to the dish, not a traditional breakfast food, but really fit in well. It is a really nice setting, close enough to the beach to smell it, but not too windy. I loved the fresh herbs dotted around for decoration, a really cool idea. My only criticism is the bus stop out front is a bit of an ugly vista, and the coffee could’ve been hotter, but I’ll definitely be back again.

I’d never been to Scarborough before and within minutes was whisked away to the idillic patio of Boho. It’s accurate to say it the entire situation was love at first cold drip. In fact, the setting was so lovely and natural, I automatically assumed the entire neighbourhood was a steaming hot mecca of fresh, organic goodness. But apparently not? Well Boho’s amazingness sure fooled me, and here’s hoping it will inspire a slew of likeminded businesses to grace these shores. In the meantime, head here for delicious brekkies, lunches, fresh squeezed juices and of course their cold drip. You’ll probably find me here, enjoying the sea breeze in a sun-soaked corner, wishing I could move in.

This is exactly what this are needed. The dining options in Scarborough are bloody dismal, not to mention barista coffee — that’s unheard of around here. BOHO is right at home in Scarborough. The fit-out is welcoming and a perfect complement to the beachside surrounds. The name gives away a few clues; it’s got a very bohemian Waikiki feel without trying too hard. I love it. If you’re a coffee aficionado — they use Ristretto beans which are few and far between in Perth. The coffee is not the best I’ve had but certainly the best for miles around. I’d give it an 8⁄10. Food wise its very good — healthy breakfast and lunch options and resonably priced. I ordered a medium(love that they give the option of Small, Medium and Large dine-in plates) mixed salad and a soy cap and it came to $ 14.90. The salad was fresh, varietal and perfectly dressed. I saw a few ‘Breakfast Wraps’ come out and they looked tasty too. If you’re in scarborough and want a decent breakfast or lunch, this is the best option without a doubt. The service is super sweet too.

BOHO Espresso Shop 5⁄7 Scarborough beach road 92455880 6am-3.30(Kitchen closing at 3pm) This is a cute little espresso joint that specialises in healthy fresh food and juices. On a scorcher of a day we found sanctuary in its juice and shelter a pretty hip and bohemian atmosphere with an idyllic beach location you can find lights with tassels and old skateboard decks as seats. The breakfast menu looks delicious for bacon lovers but also catering for vegetarians, the fridge counter display shows their orientation and devotion to healthy wholesome food and presentation with beautiful fresh ingredients. With juice titles like ‘Ranga’ and ‘American psycho’ I love places that are fresh, creative and affordable. The only downside to Boho espresso would be that if you order expect to wait a bit but it is well worth it. To make the place even cooler they have live gigs on Saturdays I love this place and will be back to try more things on the menu.
