Not bad at all. I had the duck for the mains and it was roasted crisp, perhaps a bit dry but nice nonetheless with the jus. The tossed cos lettuce that is freely provided is a bit of a joke though as you get 3 mini lettuce leaves which you would down in a heartbeat. Recommend ordering a side salad as this would not suffice for any form of sufficient fibre with your meal. The triple cooked potatoes — not sure how the other reviewer said there was no taste — but it actually was too salty for me. Lots of grated parmesan and pepper evenly mixed in the potatoes. The portion size is also quite fair IMO. The panna cotta however, was excellent. Smooth, light, melts in your mouth with a light coconut flavour. The berries and mint cut the sweetness just right.

Heard so much about this place«specialising» in risotto and many great reviews as well. So we drove all the way into the cbd and excited about what I’m going to get. Very nice location at the river bank, over looking the river and city lights. I love the décor as well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We very quickly decided on our meal– all recommended by their staff. Excitement very quickly turn into disappointment. Risotto: very small potion, seriously small with no decoration on it. Just a very big plate with small potion of risotto in the middle. Let’s taste it anyway. Um… Excuse me, I think it’s under cooked. Crunchy rice and I couldn’t find my crab meat. Flavour was average too. Man, I can make better risotto than this. I returned the dish to be re-fried, staff were very friendly and tried to explain to me it’s the rice they use. Thanks but no thank you, I just want a nice cooked risotto. Also, I’m not a big fan of their popular triple cooked potato either, it was either dry and soft or very dry and crunchy and lack of flavour too, can you sprinkle just a little bit more salt on it would be nice. Let down. Not going back there again.

Although pricy, Food is fantastic, I’m rating 3 stars because of the poor and ridiculously slow service. Beer was hot, which to me is unacceptable.

Very impressive Italian restaurant. They were very accommodating for us going to a show and served accordingly. Great Italian music playing in the background. I felt like I was back in Italy. Got the pulled beef with Gorgonzola and the lobster spaghetti. Amazing flavors but pricey.

We were very happy. Lunch menu with 2 courses, wine and coffee or tea for 40 $ made us smile when we got the first course(pumpkin ravioli with shaved parmesan and sliced toasted almond sauce) that was delicious. Second courses were solid too(gnocchi and scallop risotto) but not as spectacular. Great deal!

Came here for Valentine’s, and sat down to a set menu. Staff was very friendly, it’s a tiny restaurant, but our waitress made sure we were happy with everything. The food was delish, Anatra arrosto(duck breast) and Agnello(lamb rump), and filled us up so we only took a gander at the selection of gelato they have available. My only complaint was the time it took to get our main, it felt like we were sitting for ages, and even while enjoying good company and conversation, you notice the time tick away as you wait for your food to come. Other than that, it was a nice restaurant to visit.

Had a really delicious and quick pre theatre meal here one Saturday night. Ordered off the cheaper pre theatre menu, but service, food and extras were fantastic. Got bread and olives pre meal and no problem when we requested extra bread. Service was friendly and one of the best risotto and gnocchi dishes we have ever had. Highly recommend.

Good Italian restaurants in Melbourne: Tutto Bene can claim they are part of this choice group according to me! I had a delicious risotto laced with crab and such amazing flavor! The appetizers were fresh and delicious — the chat potatoes are to die for! The size of the order was large so I wanted to take some home — nope, no takeaway containers — hmmm. Service was lacking as well and with improvements, this establishment will be vying for the five star designation.

This must be on anyones list of must visit restaurants if your looking for the most amazing italian meal on a truly icon location in Melbourne. Last week I had the pleasure of dinning here for a long lunch. I can only summaries the experience by little categories so to ensure you get the most of my review Location: Right in the heart of Southbank, second floor, does it get much better! View: Absolutely amazing, we had the prefect table for two looking across the river with the Melbourne CBD backdrop in all its glory. I thought maybe we just got lucky, but having walked into the restaurant and along the outside dining balcony throughout the afternoon, I don’t think any table would be without a truly magnificent view. Food: Incredible. No real better Italian in my opinion in Southbank. Entrée: Aged Prosciutto Plate — Some of the best i have ever tasted, and as a lover I have eaten many over the years. Served with breadsticks, hard cheese, my only complaint, it was a shame it ended — Great size serving though Olives — Stuffed and deep fried, a taste explosion every time you put one in your mouth, again good serving size Main: Veal — Two perfect cutlets, cooked to perfection, with fresh tomatoes and soft cheese. It was a special that day, but if you see it on the menu, do not hesitate to order it, I would! Pasta — Perfect, you know when pasta just works, there is nothing better, these guys know and respect the pasta they serve. Atmosphere: Like your sitting in a small restaurant in Italy, made authentic from the passionate italian staff who wait on you like your some millionaire. Service: Spot on, nothing is too hard, fine attention to detail, and very friendly, they really love what they do, and they love the restaurant and its customers, nothing short of perfect. Take home: They use their own oil for bread, cooking and its that good you can buy yourself a bottle on the way out, great idea, if your into fresh oil, buy one, my only regret is I did not buy too Overall, be it a business lunch, romantic lunch or dinner, this is the place to eat. I am not a fan of visiting restaurants on my own, I travel allot with work and hide in the hotel with all the other one leg travellers, but i would be seen eating here alone for sure. Super impressed, and will visit time and time again at any opportunity I can get. Thanks Tutto Bene

Location — Convenient being on southbank View — Spectacular. Look at the yarra, litup Melbourne skyline while having your dinner Food — To die for. It was recommended to me as one of the best risotto place in Melbourne and I couldn’t find anything to contest it. Service — Awesome. Love the staff. Love the fact that they served us Gelato even though they were closing as we took our own time finishing up the dinner. Major selling point for me — Gelato. I think they need to have a face-off with 7apples. One of the places where I would go again and again.

I have not been inside this restaurant but I have been just out the front of it where they have an adjoining Italian Gelataria. They have here the best gelato that I have had in the southern hemisphere. The flavours are always changing so it would not be fair of me to recommend a flavour as it might not be there when you arrive. This aside every flavour that you chose will have you making noises of satisfaction that you did not even know you could make. Something else that I love about Tutto Bene is the location, set just one level about Southbank you have a stunning view of Melbourne that most people would not stop and look at.

Tutto Bene is a beautiful little Italian restauarant with stunning views over the Yarra river, Flinders st Station and the gorgeous Melbourne CBD skyline. Its a traditional Italian eatery, that serves delicious bowls of pasta, risotto and other hearty fare. To be honest, I cant really pronounce anything on the menu, but my waiter was very helpful in describing alot of the dishes to me. The risotto I chose, the Anatra, funghi e salvia(which translates to braised duck, porcini mushroom and sage, according to the menu) was delicious. The flavours were rich, and the light sauce was very tasty. Tutto Bene also has an attached gelateria with amazing ice creams and sorbets. The gelato is available as a dessert within the restaurant, as well as from a seperate counter available from outside the restaurant. This is serious ice cream. It is award winning icecream, with seasonal flavours like pear, grape, and chestnut. My personal favourite? The tiramasu!
